Advantages: Smells nice once the top notes wear off
Disadvantages: strong and almost alcoholic for the first few minutes
I am addicted to perfumes and whenever I go out shopping I always treat myself to a new scent. Sometimes I just buy any scent at the perfume counter without trying it or ill just buy a perfume because I like the look of the bottle.
The scent itself is rather unusual and initially quite strong and overpowering. The first time I sprayed the perfume I almost choked because of the really strong and overpowering aroma. I actually thought the scent was an aftershave at first because of the strong scent, it just smelled far too strong and overpowering for an Eau De Toilette.
As soon as I sprayed the scent onto my wrist all I could detect was a strong alcoholic smell for the first three minutes or so. The alcohol smell was probably one of the main reasons I thought that this scent was like an aftershave, because a lot of aftershaves have a strong alcoholic smell within the first few minutes of applying them.
Once the alcoholic smell had dispersed the scent began to smell slightly more feminine but it was still really strong and overpowering. I thought that the scent smelled rather floral and heavy, it smelled fairly similar to Lillie's. At this point I was almost tempted to wash all traces of the scent from my wrist because I hated the heavy, overpowering, floral aroma. But I had only been wearing the scent for about five minutes or so and what I was smelling was most probably the top notes, so I had to give the scent time to react with my skin so as the heart and base notes could develop.
After wearing the scent for about 15 minutes it had actually died down an awful lot and had a more subtle aroma. The floral scent of the Lillie's was still evident, but not as strong as before, and it was complimented by slightly sweeter floral notes. The sweet floral notes which I could smell were Jasmine and Violet, the sweetness from the Jasmine and Violet was accompanied by a slightly musky and spicy undertone which made the scent more feminine and less floral.
I began to like the scent of the perfume after wearing it for about an hour or so because it smelled completely different and more feminine. I think that the top notes are too strong, but once these wear off and the heart and base notes stat to become more visible the scent is actually really nice.
I would describe the scent as being sweet, floral and musky after the top notes have worn off. It is a nice perfume and has really good staying power for an Eau De Toilette; the scent lasts for well over 8 hours. Fcuk Her is one of those perfumes where a little goes a very long way, spraying too much of it gives you a sore head because of the high alcoholic aroma which can be smelled for the first five or so minutes.
The scent is described as having
Top notes of Bergamot, Muguet, and Water Iris (loads of alcohol too lol)
The top notes are the first phase of the perfume; they are usually the most volatile and evaporate from the skin very quickly. The top notes are usually very light and refreshing and their scent usually lasts for anything between five and ninety minutes. Although the top notes in this scent are really strong and overpowering for the first 5 minutes.
Heart notes of Barringtonia Flower from Madagascar, Peony, Jasmine and Violet
The middle notes of a scent are therapeutic and balancing oils, sometimes the middle notes are often referred to as the heart notes of a scent. The middle notes are not always evident and can take between thirty and sixty minutes to develop on your skin, and they last for anything between two to four hours.
Base notes of Golden Amber Musk, Cedarwood and Sandlewood
The base notes are the longest lasting notes in a fragrance, most perfumes use the same base notes. This is because they give the perfume more staying power and stop the top and middle notes from evaporating from your skin as quickly.
The perfume is nice but once the bottle is finished I don't think ill be rushing out to buy another one. Fcuk Her is an Eau De Toilette fragrance which means that it contains between 4-10% perfume oils. An Eau De Toilette perfume is most commonly bought because it is cheaper than an Eau De Parfum, an eau de toilette scent usually lasts for about 3-4 hours on your skin although some others do last a lot longer it just depends on the different oils in your skin.
Fcuk Her Eau De Toilette can be bought from Boots and costs ~
£33 for a 100ml bottle
£26 for a 50 ml bottle

Summary: A nice scent if you can cope with the strong alcoholic aroma for a few minutes
