“ Brand: Fcuk / Type: Fragrance / Concentration: Eau de Toilette / Gender: for women „
In the run up to Christmas my Girlfriend left it rather vague as to which perfume she wanted, making the possible crucial mistake of letting my nose buds do the thinking and selecting a Perfume I liked. I already had her the Fergie line Outspoken so needed something a tad different but walking into a local boutique the choice on offer was simply too large and I tended to go towards and test brands I was familiar with. I did purchase her a larger bottle of a rival brand but I also decided to get this FCUK Eau De Toilette as the smell was something I particularly liked and it was a brand I used in the past.
I purchased the 50ml bottle for £13.99 and there is also a 100ml bottle on sale for around about £19 mark depending on where you shop so it is mid price for branded fragrances.
When spraying this and using for the first time both myself and other half agree there is a very Jasmine based tone to it and it smells very fresh, summery and vivid. It is quite a poignant smell and prominent in the nostrils which I fully expected after using the male versions of this brand several times. It is light in texture and doesn't feel too greasy either and squirts out in nice size dozes.
The Fragrance is quite strong so there is no need for heavy application unless you want to drown some ones nostrils out, but on a positive note this means that it will last longer as one or two squirts seem to last the day and evening. It doesn't start to wear off and thin out until long after use which is always handy but if required the bottle is small enough to be able to carry easily in a bag.
The bottle itself is one downside to the product as with most fcuk goods it doesn't have a lid and sprays directly into the bottle if you know what I mean. You push down and out comes the perfume. It makes it hard to hold and get a good grip on but that's a minor inconvenience considering the other positives inherent in this product.
All in all this is an excellent, fresh smelling perfume that's probably better intended for every day use. It can be used for nights out etc but I would consider this a day to day perfume and on that basis it will last a good few months given how long it lasts and the prominence of smell.
I got this for my birthday. I tend to get a lot of Perfumes as presents since it is one of my favourite things. I wear Perfume every day, and although I have my favourites, I like to try lots of them as they may end up being 1 of my favourites - who knows.
I got the 100ml bottle which after looking online I see this costs £18. The 50ml bottle costs £14.
The bottle for this is alright, but annoying in a certain way. It is 1 of the bottles which has the spray into the bottle, so no lid to take off on this, but since this is a rectangular shaped bottle and the 100ml is quite large, then I don't find it that easy to hold. It isn't that bad though. The colour of the bottle is a medium cream colour so not the most exciting and stand out bottle there is. The box is the same colour with the lettering in simple writing.
So how does this smell? I think I was thinking this would be a lighter, more airy scent than it is. After looking online for the notes and description this states that this has "Top notes of bergamot, muguet and water iris, middle notes ofbarrigtonia flower, jasmine, peony and violet and bottom notes of golden amber musk, sandalwood and cedarwood." There is quite a lot of heavier notes through here in order for the name to be Pure. I would say the main notes you can smell in here is Sandalwood and Jasmine, and it is mainly a heavier Oriental kind of scent in here, but it's nice how it is.
This lasts for ages. It smells strong when it is applied and that is only 2 squirts which gives a good scent of this. Although the initial more strong smell wears off after over an hour, the rest of the day you can still smell this on your skin lightly which is nice.
Although it wasn't exactly how I expected this to smell it is still a nice Perfume. I've still got abut half of the bottle to use, but that's because I chop and change with all the Perfumes i've got on the go. I wouldn't buy this again for myself, but that's more because there is so many more that I like better than this one. It is still nice though and due to the price and size then this would made a nice Present for someone.
Last Christmas one of the presents my sister bought me was a set containing the fcuk pure eau de toilette.
The fcuk pure eau de toilette comes in a long thin tube which is very plain and basic looking. Thankfully though this isn't how you are expected to display your fragrance. Within the eau de toilette set I received two metal effect cases which can house the product. One of the cases was black with silver swirls whilst the other was silver with black. Both of the cases look pretty and trendy in my opinion and would look nice in your bag on a night out.
The idea of the case is that it fits the eau de toilette in to it very snugly and so it looks much more presentable. I guess you always have the option of changing the case to suit your outfit too but I think both pretty much go with everything! The lid of the eau de toilette does twist on and off so I do wonder if these small little tubes are supposed to be refillable. I haven't seen this option anywhere but it would make sense and reduce any wastage with the tubes. As yet though I have only seen a set for sale containing the case which I already have and so I don't really see the point in buying this as I already have two cases!
The fcuk pure eau de toilette scent is quite hard for me to explain actually. To me it smells very sweet and fresh but there isn't really anything individual I can pick out. Upon research I can inform you that the scent is a "soft floral scent built around a delicious fusion of violet, pepper and vanilla notes" As I said though I cannot pick out these notes and the main thing that stands out to me with this scent is a sweetness.
I do like the smell of this product as it is so sweet and fresh smelling. However, it really doesn't linger for that long at all. For this reason I find that when I apply this product I like to use it with the body spray as well to build up more of a scent, and even then I find I need to reapply the spray regularly to keep up any hint of the fragrance. As such when I am using this fragrance I do tend to use quite a lot of it per application.
The fcuk pure eau de toilette is selling in boots and it costs £7.75 for the small tube and a case to house the spray. I do feel this is quite expensive for the product to be honest as it just doesn't last well at all. I feel I can only give this product two stars as I just don't think it does a good enough job in my opinion of lasting.
Thank you for reading my review!
