“ Brand: Flower Fairies / Type: Fragrance / Concentration: Eau de Toilette / Gender: for women „
I saw the fairies and couldn't resist. The packaging drew me to this perfume; it comes in a light pink rectangular box, with flower fairies pictures on all 4 sides and the words Flower Fairies on the front. The bottle is a clear rectangular shape with a silver twist on/off lid. The bottle also has a flower fairy picture on the front the fragrance is exactly like what it should be its main scent is sweet pea and I could definitely smell this, also I would describe this fragrance as a sweet and floral smell. I expected the actual scent to be more old fashioned it definitely doesn't have the freshness of most modern perfumes but also it's not too heavy. One thing that annoyed me about this is that the fragrance is just a splash on one and so a little knock of the bottle could have you smelling of sweet peas for days, also the scent quickly faded from a heavier to softer scent and after around 2.5 hours it was non existent. The price was really good for me I picked it up for £5, although now I don't think many places will stock it. I would say if your a fan of the flower fairies and see it then grab it it's a bargain otherwise don't bother.
I love fairies!Well I love anything mystical and magical so when I saw this in T.J Hughes for £5.00 I couldn't leave it behind on the shelf by itself looking all lonely! I love fragrance and fairies it was bound to be sold to me! I originally however purchased it for my friends birthday but me being me I made it my own and bought her some chocolates instead lol We both were very happy though to be fair and our addictions were cracked lol
Came in a light pink cardboard box with a fairy picture on all sides of the box and the lid pulled off and on to reveal the bottle inside which is a square, glass, see through squarish bottle with a shiny top that twists on and off and under that there is a small hole (splash on perfume). On the front there is a cream coloured label, again with a fairy picture on it and I'm told in silver writing that it is Flower Fairies, Sweet Pea. On the back again in silver writing I'm told it's Eau De Toilette, ingredients are listed, cautions are given, contact details for Asquith & Somerset are given (the manufacturer of Flower Fairy products) and finally the size is stated which is a 100ml (It is a big bottle). All in all it's nice enough packaging but looks quite child like rather than a grown up product but I guess it's meant to bring out the inner child from within us! lol
Well you simply unscrew the lid and very gently dab some of the liquid out onto your fingers and applying it where you choose. You have to be careful otherwise it pours everywhere though and you really don't want to be doing that trust me (I stunk for days after my last accident with this product lol). The liquid in the bottle is a pale yellow kind of colour but goes onto skin colourless of course.
Smell wise it is that of Sweet Pea. Unmistakably so if your familiar with that fragrance. It has a sweetness to it and is floral. It's a very strong perfume but not harsh it any sense. It's unusual cos although it's quite strong and old fashioned it keeps light at the same time. The initial 'bite' of fragrance calms down on contact with the skin almost immediately and it gets a hell of a lot softer but still remains fairly fragrant.
Once on the skin I find it holds it's smell for about 2 hours tops. You can of course reapply it when you choose to, but for me it's a pain because I have to splash it on rather than spray it and I'm not keen on that method at all to be frank. It's none irritating on the skin although it's a liquid that you put directly on sort of thing and you can forget it's there without it bothering you.
I don't mind the fragrance at all, actually it's rather pleasant and fresh but I don't like the way I have to apply it and for that reason alone I won't be buying it again!
