Ghost cherish is my favourite daytime wear fragrance, I love its light floral scent that is easy to wear with other scented body products without smelling like the perfume counter of Boots.
I was brought my 50ml bottle as a gift a couple of years ago but I do know that it cost about £30 from Superdrug, and is currently available for £33.50 from The Perfume Shop.
The box is a very girly pink and bears very little decoration in the form of the name of the perfume Ghost Cherish EDT, on the back is a list of ingredients and a warning not to spray this perfume onto a naked flame or into the eyes. The perfume is made in the UK and is 80% volume. Not sure why you would want to drink this perfume though!
Once out of the packaging the bottle is very tall and feminine, the same as the picture in the Dooyoo catalogue, the perfume itself is a translucent pink colour. The silver lid pulls off easily to reveal the spray button. The perfume sprays out in squirts that are just the right amount, you are not drenched in scent nor do you have to spray yourself repeatedly.
I really like this scent as it is light and floral and reminds me of a scent from my childhood that I can't quite put my finger on. The top notes are described as Pink Grapefruit, Green Apple and Freesia. The scent that comes through strongly when the perfume is first applied to my skin is Freesia; I really have to sniff a lot to pick up the slightest hint of Green Apple and to be honest I can not detect grapefruit what so ever, but it is probably there as I do like citrus notes in my perfume.
The heart notes are described as Rose, Pink Lotus Flower and Violets, this starts to come through after I have had the perfume on for around an hour and are very warm and comforting. I can easily smell the Rose and it makes me think of warm summer days, not that we see many of those any more. I can also smell a hint of Violet; the Green Apple scent has faded altogether. The heart notes of this perfume last for a good couple of hours.
The base notes are described as Cedar Wood, Amber and Musks. For some reason on me I can not smell the base notes. To me the scent fades away to a warm talcum powder smell that I can still smell on myself the following day.
The lightness of this perfume does lend itself to being topped up during the day without becoming overpowering, and its simple scents work well with most florally scented body products.
Accompanying body lotions and shower gels can be purchased separately or as part of a gift set so the scent can be layered for a deeper, longer lasting scent.
In conclusion this is one of my favourite perfumes for daily wear as it is light and floral and makes me feel feminine.
Thank you for reading.
REASONS FOR PURCHASE
I first tried Ghost Cherish around 5 years ago when I received it as a gift. It came in a gift set along with a body lotion and shower gel.
My first thoughts were "Oh no! I'm really fussy with perfumes so I'm really going to have to pretend to like this!". But then when I actually tested the scent for the first time I was hooked!
I've replaced Ghost Cherish many times since my first encounter!
THE WRITE UP
From www.cheapsmells.com: "Perhaps the most feminine of all the Ghost fragrances, Cherish celebrates the eternal nature of a woman. The ability to treasure, to nourish, to love and to laugh. Thoroughly irresistible, the beautiful, floral, powdery scent is a hug for the soul and the senses. Ghost Cherish blends delicious fresh pink grapefruit with crisp green apple and the heady scent of freesia. This merges with the pretty perfume of roses, pink lotus flower and violet for a scent that is sparkling and light, with an undercurrent of elegant, romantic richness. Truly a fragrance to cherish. "
At the moment I have a 50ml bottle of the EDT (no EDP is available for Ghost Cherish) and the RRP is £31. The last time I purchased this was near Christmas AND from a store, so I had to settle for paying full price.
Now is a great time to buy since perfumes are way more likely to be discounted outside of the holiday season!
This perfumes is available from all the usual places - department stores, perfume shops, high street chemist / pharmacies. And these same store's websites, as well as online shops such as www.cheapsmells.com.
At the moment you can buy a 50ml EDT for £24.60 on www.amazon.co.uk. This includes free delivery.
The perfume bottles comes in a pretty pink cardboard box. Plain and simple with all the neccessary product information.
The perfume bottle itself is one that I'm really taken with. Tall, slim, clear, curved glass. Looks really elegant on your dressing table, and doesn't take up too much space either! The perfume is a beautiful sheer pink.
When I tried my first ever spray of Ghost Cherish I was blown away by the strength of the roses scent! While I'm not overly keen on all floral smells, I simply adore the smell of roses. As a teenager I'd dab rose oil straight onto my wrists, and this perfume immediately took me back to that time!
Since this is an eau de toilette, you can afford to be quite generous with how much you spray. This morning for example, I sprayed once on each wrist, then about four sprays over my neck and on my clothes, then I went back for a few more wrist sprays. Just because I love the scent so much!
So yes, when you first spray, you won't be able to miss the distinct rose scent. There is also an underlying fruitiness to this perfume - nothing over sickly like berries or tropical fruit, and nothing too sharp or citrus either. I was surprised to read that this perfume contained grapefruit notes, but not surprised to hear about the apple notes. Once the suggestion was put in my head I could definitely smell the apples!
For me, this perfume works well day or night, it's not overpowering in the way that some of the 'classic' brands of perfume can be if worn during the day. It's not too light and 'nothinging' like some typically 'daytime' scents either! Because the floral notes in the perfume are quite unusual and unique to Ghost Cherish, there is no way you could describe this one as 'grandma' like.
As the day goes on, this perfume does fade a bit, but the scent (in my opinion!) doesn't change much from the first application. The floral, fruity notes are still exactly the same. All I can say is that the rose notes fade ever so slightly to allow some of the other floral notes to shine through. For example, I'm now pretty sure I can detect the freesia and voilets above the roses!
For an eau de toilette, I'm really impressed with Ghost Cherish's longevity. I just wish it was available in an eau de parfum so I can smell of this wonderful scent for even longer (and stronger!).
I couldn't recommend this perfume highly enough, I'd go as far as to say it is one of my top 3 scents of all time! I have so many compliments when wearing this perfume, and a few people have even gone out to buy this after I've told them what I was wearing.
If you love a really feminine scent, even if you haven't been overly keen on florals in the past, chances are you'll love this as much as I do!
Perfume isn't something I would normally buy for myself, which is probably a good thing because if it was up to me I would just buy the same perfume over and over again. When it comes to perfumes I know what I like and I'm not usually open to change. But, when someone buys you some perfume as a gift then it is only fair to give it a try and I'm glad I did with Ghost Cherish!
My friend bought me this perfume for Christmas last year, but we didn't exchange presents until march as we both have quite busy lives and live a good 80 miles apart so making time to meet up isn't easy. Once I unwrapped my present I found Ghost Cherish presented in a lovely tall, pink box with simple writing displaying the name of the perfume.
The Ghost Cherish bottle is simple yet elegant. It is a clear glass, cylindrical bottle that starts quite thin at the bottom and gradually get wider towards the top, finishing with a sliver coloured, metal look, plastic lid, that doesn't look dissimilar to a door knob (sorry, I couldn't think of a better description) the inside of which is pink. The perfume itself is pink in colour and this can be seen through the clear glass of the bottle.
When I sprayed a small amount of the perfume onto my wrist I was instantly hit by a very strong, fruity, floral aroma within which I could almost detect the smell of alcohol (not drinking alcohol but the sort of smell you get with anti-bacterial hand gels that contain alcohol). Thankfully, this faded very quickly and left behind a beautiful scent. When the perfume is still fresh on the skin the smell of fruit is quite obvious, I think apples play quite a big part in this perfume as to being with there are hints of a cider type smell within the perfume combined with hints of various different flowers. Once the perfume settles it becomes much softer and the fruity tones subside slightly to reveal more floral smells, Rose and musk are scents that become much more obvious at this stage and this soft, floral, musky scent is what remains. The perfume is very light and subtle so much so that I imagine it would be difficult to smell unless you were very close to someone, so a few more sprays than normal would be necessary if you wanted to make it a more obvious perfume. This is a perfect day time, summery scent that makes me think of girly shopping trips and days out but it would be equally perfect for casual evenings such as going to the cinema or a meal with friends.
The scent doesn't last overly well, just a couple of hours after applying it, it is almost impossible to smell so if I'm wearing it I usually carry it around in my hand bag so that I can top it up if I need to.
This is a perfume that I personally really like as I am a big fan of soft, subtle fragrances and it is a really girly smell and I am pleased that my friend bought it for me as I would never have discovered it otherwise.
The price of this perfume varies depending on where you shop, Superdrug sell it for £22.99 for a 30ml bottle where as Boots have the same sized bottle for £24.00 so it is definitely worth shopping around. I'm not sure if I would buy this perfume myself but it is definitely something I would add to my Christmas list and I would certainly recommend it to my friends!
I received this as part of a gift set this christmas. It came beautifully presented in a pink box, with a decorated translucent sleeve. The Ghost Cherish gift set comes with body lotion as well as the main perfume itself. However, as this is a review for the perfume only, i will endeavour to give you my best opinions.
The sleek bottle is made from clear glass, with a rose tint. The slight curvature to the bottle makes it easier to hold when spraying the perfume. It also makes it appear a lot more feminine, in my opinion. The lid of the bottle is easy to grip, when you require the use of this perfume, and it clicks into place with a little force to prevent it coming off easily. The name Ghost appears faintly at the bottom too. Overall, the bottle design is very different to others on the market because of its height and simplistic nature. Perhaps the name 'Cherish' would have been a nice addition, but i guess Ghost want people to recognise the brand purely from its bottle design and not because it has been emphasised via the name!
This is a very girly perfume: one mixed with fruity and floral scents. The first time i used it, i was struck by the floral tones, especially the rose. Although Ghost Cherish describe the main scent as a mixture of pink grapefruit, green apple and freesia. It would be a perfect scent to wear throughout the year because it is not over-powering. It is possibly best to wear in summer because of all the summery scents entwined.
After a few squirts of the bottle, i find it lasts all day, especially if it is sprayed on clothing. I find that if it is sprayed directly on the skin, a top-up may be required half-way through the day, but i guess that depends on how strong you wear your perfume!
If you have read my other perfume reviews, you will know i have quite sensitive skin. So far there has not been a problem with irritation.
This perfume is available to buy from all good retailers (i would recommend looking in Boots, The Perfume Shop and Superdrug). Ghost is a well known, established brand so i wouldn't think they would be any problems locating this perfume.
Having received this as a gift, i've done some research and found the best prices are from www.cheapsmells.com - see below:
30ml bottle is £18
50ml bottle is £25
75ml bottle is £35
I would highly recommend this to any girly girl. It is suitable for women of all ages, and i personally would have no problem giving this to my mum for her birthday/mothers day. The smaller bottles are reasonably priced too, so it would make a lovely gift for a friend.
If you like Ghost Cherish i would recommend looking at Ghost Sweetheart, which comes in a similar style bottle (although the colouring is orange/yellow).
I give this perfume 4 out of 5.
This gorgeous bottle of Ghost is the most sensuous captivating fragrance I have smelt in a long time. I received this as a Christmas present and I am so glad I did. I got the 30ml version and I believe this is around £20.00 in Boots and it is definitely worth it. I haven't heard too much of this brand but it is very addictive. I spray it on my scarf and I keep smelling it and thinking 'wow' that scent is just extraordinary.
How do I describe to you readers how this scent smells? It is very fruity and girly and a complete head turner. There is a hint of floral to this fragrance too. If that doesn't persuade you I don't know what will! Let me see the gorgeous shaped bottle that this comes in, the pink womanly packaging, the well known trusted brand or the price?
Rose is also a predominant scent that infuses its way through the traces of pink grapefruit and apple. This stays on your clothes and receives many compliments. You can get this in many different sizes, the next one I get will be in a bigger size!
I keep this in my handbag and I spray it every so often throughout the day. It makes me feel so confident and fresh. You wouldn't believe it until you smell it!
You will find this in all of the perfume shops, Boots, Debenhams and maybe some supermarkets. This is top of the range and there are no downfalls to this at all.
All I can say is try it for yourself and see, you will believe me!
Thank you for reading,
Ive nearly finished all my perfume reviews now as Ive almost written about every bottle in my collection and I thought Id get the last few out of the way with before Christmas - when hopefully my collection will grow a bit more! Anyway my mom I reckon is a bigger perfume junkie than I am so she does buy a LOT of different scents one of which was this 'Ghost Cherish' and in the set she got a smaller spray bottle which she gave to me a few weeks back. Id tried a few Ghost perfumes in the past and been really impressed by them so I kind of assumed straight away that I would like this even thogh my mom did warn me it wasnt anything like the other Ghost scents she'd tried and she was right...this one in my opinion is one of - if not the - best.
Price: 50ml bottle - Around £25
Stockists: Amazon, Boots, Superdrug & The Perfume Shop.
Other Info: Also available in 30ml + 100ml bottles. Prices on this scent do vary greatly depending where you buy it from so do look around for a good bargain.
One of the things I am mainly attracted to when buying perfumes is not the designer or the name but the bottle and box design and to be honest based on the bottle I dont think Id have picked this up for myself in a shop even though it is pretty nice. The Ghost fragrances are usually in the cute moon shaped bottles and this one in comparison just seems a little simple and a bit boring. The bottle is a long, curved shape which is a light pink in colour with a large, silver ball on the top concealing the spray nozzle. Yes it is a nice bottle and quite feminine BUT its nothing special overall from this range I expected more. It does look good on my dressing table and luckily doesnt spill out or leak when its in my handbag so its good but a bit disappointing.
As I always say I am not great at picking out the individual notes in a perfume so I did a little digging around the net and found the main notes in this perfume are as follows: Freesia, Pink Grapefruit, Apple, Rose, Violet, Pink Lotus Flower, Amber, Musk & Cedarwood. Now if youve tried Ghost fragrances in the past I think you might have an assumption on this perfume already like I did but for me this one is totally unique for this range because it actually has a fruity scent.
I have found that most of the Ghost perfumes are floral offering that are very light and this one does fit that to a certain extent but this one has more of an egde. The scents of Freesia, Apple & Rose are definitely the most noticable right off the bat which gives this the strongest floral notes but then the Pink Grapefruit starts to come through which gives the scent a different edge because it gives a sour scent - which does sound like it wouldnt work or it would be too strong/overpowering but trust me in this case it oddly works. The Amber, Musk & Cedarwood do start to come through more towards the end but it doesnt make the perfume much heavier or muskier - this remains a nice, unique yet airy and light scent which is just perfect for me to wear all the time. This is marketed as the 'ultimate feminine fragrance' and I have to agree this one is perfect.
The staying power for this one is actually pretty good. This tends to last around 6-7 hours on my skin when I apply it in the morning which in my experience is much better than average so one bottle will last you a really long time.
For wearing the perfume I recommend this for daywear as this is a very light, foral casual scent and I personally would want something heavier for wearing at night time. I also think that this perfume would be suitable for all ages as I dont think theres an appropriate age for this one - if you like it any age could pull this off. Highly recommended from me. :)
Thanks For Reading.

Ghost Cherish is a beautifully, refreshing fragrance which is an all time favourite of mine and one of which I would highly recommend.
Choosing a new perfume can sometimes be a chore because they don't come cheap and you need an 'everyday' perfume that is long-lasting and not too expensive. My number one choice for this type of perfume is Ghost Cherish. It's suitable all year round, it's clean, fresh and people will notice you wearing it!
It's always nice to have maybe one or two luxury perfumes which you can wear on special ocassions, but it is essential to have something a little more casual (and one that doesn't break the bank if you buy it 3/4 times a year).
This fragrance will not cause too much damage to yours (or your partners') wallet as a 50ml bottle costs around £26-£31 depending on retailer. This is a cheap compared to most perfumes and 'cheap' is certainly not a word that you would associate with this fragrance.
The fragrance comes in a tall, slim bottle which curves in, making it easy to hold when applying. The bottle represents a female body, adding to the femininity of the product and appealing to many women. The lid is silver and quite big so if you are like me and always losing the lids of things then don't worry with this one as it is always easy to find! The box that Ghost Cherish comes in is a very girly pink box.
More importantly, the smell. It's hard to describe a smell in so many words, and I advise you to visit your local perfume shop and ask for a sample/tester so you can see what I mean. I can only describe it as a fresh, floral, fruity smell. It's light and not over-powering and I always get complimented on my smell when I am wearing it, so it must do its job well. Like I said, it's hard to explain the smell.... maybe Boots do a better job as they describe it on their website as:
"Ghost Cherish is a fruity floral fragrance. Cherish celebrates the eternal nature of a woman - to treasure, to nourish, to love and to laugh. It opens with top notes of pink grapefruit, green apple and freesia, evolves to middle notes of rose, pink lotus flower and violet, and finishes with base notes of cedarwood, amber and musks. Truly, a fragrance to cherish."
If that's not enough to persuade you then allow me to reiterate the amazing aroma and the freshness that you will feel when you spray yourself with this. If you have never tried it before then give it a go!
And for all you men/women out there that are looking to treat that special lady in your life and not sure what fragrance she will be happy with, then this is a safe option, and one of which I am sure any lady would be pleased with!
5 stars to Ghost Cherish. Recommend other Ghosts too!
Ghost cherish is one of my favourite day to day perfumes. Like with my make up I seem to end up with lots of different kinds of perfumes but some become firm favourites and I will purchase them time and time again. Ghost cherish is one of those fragrances.
On the Boots website it says "Ghost Cherish is a fragrance that expresses the completeness of a woman's heart. It evokes joy, happiness and beliefs that all good things come to those that make them happen". Hmmmm, well whilst I am not sure about the last part it is a fragrance that does have a happy feel about it! It smells fruity, sweet and a little bit floral. It is the kind of fragrance that I adore for day to day use. It is light and refreshing and lasts quite well.
The bottle is long and slender and looks very stylish. It has a rounded silver cap which when you remove reveals the silver spray. The perfume itself is a pale pink colour. It is the complete feminine package which looks great on your dressing table.
You can buy the eau de toilette for the following prices:
It is in the mid range of perfume prices and you can also buy it in reasonably priced gift sets but I think this is just around Christmas time.
A wonderful day to day perfume.
I have got a few perfumes that are my everyday favourites and this is one of them. This is such a lovely fragrance.
There are various places to purchase fragrances so I know that the costs vary, but in boots a 50ml bottle of this costs £31.00 and 75ml bottles cost £43.00, which I think is about the average cost of a good quality fragrance.
The bottle is a lovely slender tall bottle with a cute little round silver lid, that lifts off to reveal the spritz button underneath. I always end up losing the lids to perfumes as I keep them all in a drawer but I would imagine of a shelf it would look quite ornate and girly. It has a lovely pale pink look to it which also adds to it's feminine look.
The fragrance itself I find to be very light and fresh, it starts off quite strong but does fade after a minute or so, and I find it does last all day when I wear it, which is really rare for me as most perfumes seem to disappear after an hour or so when I wear them. The fragrance is quite floral and does smell very girly, there are a couple of other ghost perfumes I have tried that smell a bit stronger and seem to be more popular with older ladies, but I find this one very refreshing and I love wearing it.
The fragrance is described on the boots website as:
"Ghost Cherish is a fruity floral fragrance. Cherish celebrates the eternal nature of a woman - to treasure, to nourish, to love and to laugh. It opens with top notes of pink grapefruit, green apple and freesia, evolves to middle notes of rose, pink lotus flower and violet, and finishes with base notes of cedar wood, amber and musks. Truly, a fragrance to cherish."
Usually I don't buy into all the rubbish they write about fragrances, but with this, that description is pretty spot on.
I think this is definitely a day time perfume though, it is very light and floral and actually quite summery. I would normally chose something a bit heavier and stronger as an evening perfume. It does linger on your clothes though and makes them smell wonderful.
This is a great perfume and I would highly recommend it as a summery, girly, light fragrance.
I love this pefume! I have had quite a few perfumes on my shelf, most of which are gifts given to me by close friends and family. I have to admit Ghost Cherish is one of my favourites.
It is such a lovely smell, I always get commented on how nice I smell when i wear it.
Ghost Cherish is stated that it 'blends delicious fresh pink grapefruit with crisp green apple and the heady scent of freesia. This merges with the pretty perfume of roses, pink lotus flower and violet for a scent that is sparkling and light'
In a beautiful slender looking tinted pink bottle with silver lid this is attractive on any womans dressing table.
I love to wear Ghost Cherish most days, it always makes me feel more confident when wearing. It also lasts very well, a lot better than other perfumes I have tried, this means that I only have to spray it in the mornings and people are still commenting me in the evenings.
This makes it very worth the money; it cost me about £25 for a 30ml bottle - worth very penny!
I would definatly recommend this perfume to everyone!
And to top it all off - its a lovely PINK box :)
Unfortunately I have nearly ran out of my special perfume, I am thinking of spending my first Dooyoo cheque on a bottle, what a lovely reward that would be.
I was first given Ghost Cherish over a year ago for my birthday. Although I didn't buy the eau de toilette, I have seen it on sale for around £20 for a 30ml bottle.
I love this eau de toilette because it is a light and reminds me of summer :-) Because it's one of my favourite perfumes, I tend to save it for nights out so that it lasts. I really like that the next morning however, the scent has gone from my skin. It's the worst thing to still smell perfume the day after a night out, just adds to my hangover!
It has top notes of pink grapefruit, green apple and freesia with base notes of musk, amber and cedarwood. This merges with roses, pink lotus flower and voilet.
The packaging is a sort of shimmery pink colour and the bottle itself is simple and elegantly shaped.
There is also a Ghost Cherish Body Moisture Lotion 200ml which I have seen online for around £18.00. Although this seems very expensive to me, I think that it would be nice to have matching perfume and body lotion so that the scents don't clash.
I bought Ghost Cherish as I like to try different perfumes, and have a variety as some only seem to suit certain occasions. The bottle cost me about £25 for a 30ml bottle, which I though was fairly good value for money compared to other brands of perfume. I found the scent really pleasant, with a slightly flowery, sweet fragrance. It does not need a lot of sprays and isn't too overpowering, just noticeable. The perfume doesn't need constant re-application unlike some other perfumes, and generally stays noticeable all day. I find it suitable for any kind of occassion, and often get a lot of good comments about it. The bottle itself has a silver top and a baby pink bottle, it comes in a dark pink box which just has the label ghost cherish on it, really simple but attractive. Overall I have found that this perfume was a really good buy and good value for money, and I would defiantely purchase it again.
Ghost Cherish is definitely in my top 5 fragrances at the moment. The bottle is tall and slender being slightly wider at the top with a silver diamond shaped lid and it has a slight pink tone to it, the box it comes in is a plain dark pink rectangle with the words GHOST written on the front, simple but stylish. The fragrance is a really subtle floral one but sensual at the same time, for me it was quite oriental. Scents include pink grapefruit, pink lotus flower, violet and green apple. This fragrance is really subtle the floral isn't too overpowering and all the scents work well together. Also when you wear this throughout the day the scent doesn't change or fade it lasts all day.The scent is perfect for all audiences, and its doesnt have a sticky consistency so when you spray it on it blends in nice with your skin. The price is also reasonable for such a great scent, for 30ml it's around £20-25. So I would say if you're after an everyday scent then get GHOST cherish, trust me its great
I bought this perfume when I started dating my boyfriend, as I wanted something fresh and fruity to remind me of him. (Strange as it seemed, I have different scents for different people.) I've had my bottle since February 2007 and it's almost run out, but I do wear it a fair bit so I don't think 18 months for a bottle of perfume it too bad.
Scent wise, it's quite similar to the other perfumes in the range, in that it's quite light and floral, although cherish definitely has a much sweeter tinge than serenity, although not so sweet it becomes cloying, and is a heavier scent so perfect for autumn and winter. It's in the average price bracket for 30ml of eau de toilette, not massively expensive but not so cheap as to be suspect. I'd definitely recommend this perfume if you like things like Lacoste Touch of Pink or D&G Light Blue, as they have similar qualities. All in all, a fantastic autumn perfume.

This perfume is lovely. I recently bought it along with shower gel and body cream for my friend for her Birthday. It is very light and summery, slightly flowery, but not overpowering. Perfect for someone who likes a subtle, yet feminine fragrance.
It comes in a beautiful bottle, and is perfect for either yourself or a gift for someone. Because of its subtlety, it suits many people, so it is a safe choice when buying for someone else, but it still has a very personal feel to it.
The scent lasts a long time once you put it on, but it doesn't go stale or musky like some fragrances do, so you can stay smelling wonderful all day long!
All the Ghost perfumes are lovely, so it is a good place to start if you're unsure what to buy. Cherish is new and fresh addition to the Ghost line of fragrances.
The Ghost woman embodies purity combined with individuality /
