This is my first perfume I've bought for myself , usually I would be given perfumes at Christmas or Birthdays over the years. Two weeks ago I finished the perfume I received on my birthday so I decided to treat myself and buy a new one. I was looking round at different shops which sell perfumes and noticed that The Perfume Shop had a good deal of the Ghost perfume for twenty pounds. I tested out this and another ghost perfume before I bought it and straight away I loved the smell of this perfume. I love the look and e smell and since I bought the perfume I take it everywhere with me. My family also love the smell and try to sneak it out of my bag to wear it so I'm having to hide it all the time and hope that they don't use it all up.
I bought this perfume for myself from Boots in December last year as a Christmas treat. I was looking for a new perfume and after spending time at the fragrance counter opted for this perfume. I paid £23.50 for a 30ml bottle as part of a set, which included a body lotion as well. For the price, I thought this was a great deal in comparison to other fragrances, which were considerably more expensive.
The fragrance itself is really fresh and feminine. It is subtle, but at the same time I only have to use a spray on one wrist, which I then rub on the other and a spray on my neck. This is ample to achieve a fragrant feeling. The name Ghost is perfectly suited to this product as there is a wonderful alluring sensation inspired by this fragrance. I never have to re-apply this fragrance as it lasts all day, which means it lasts me for ages. This is a great value product, a competitor to any other leading fragrance and I would recommend this to any men looking for a gift for their ladies, or any woman wanting a long-lasting, fresh feeling fragrance.
I had some new perfumes for Christmas this year and one of them was Ghost. The bottle I was given was a 50ml eau de toilette which is a spray kind.
The bottle is tall and slim with a pulled in shape near the bottom, it has a nice feel to it in your hand and looks really classy, very plain but a nice shape. There are no fancy bits on the bottle at all, not even the name of the perfume, this is on a label underneath. The lid is a bit weird, it has a hole going right through it so when you put the lid on you can see the top of the button you press for the spray to come out. The lid fits on quite well though so unless you really pushed the centre button down you are not going to lose any fragrance accidentally.
I really like my perfumes to have a good staying power as I like to be able to still smell them later in the day without having to reapply. I sprayed some of this perfume on me in the morning after showering and got dressed and ready for the day. I was meeting my friend for lunch so thought it would be a tester as she always comments on my perfume, which ever one I am using that day. She hadn't said anything this time I so told her I had a new perfume and what did she think of it but she said she couldn't smell any kind of perfume so it doesn't look like it has the staying power of some of my other ones. When I got undressed that evening I couldn't smell anything on my clothes either.
The perfume does smell nice when it is first sprayed though and for a while I could still smell it on my wrists. On searching the internet it says the perfume contains "jasmine with rose petals and blends soft vanilla and earthy sandalwood, hibiscus with a hint of musk". You can definitely smell the roses in it, not sure I can pick anything else out although I am not that good on picking out smells from perfumes. I definitely can't smell any trace of musk on it though. It is a really pretty smell though, very feminine and suitable for all ages to wear.
I am not sure I would ask for this perfume again if asked what I would like for a gift as it really doesn't last as long on my skin as I prefer but I will use it up, may be for evening wear when I don't need it to last the whole day.
You can buy this perfume on Cheap Smells for £26 plus postage.
This bottle caught my eyedue to the hour glass shape. The frosty look and the name "GHOST" made me believe it was suitable for funeral use because I wanted a fragrance for a friend's funeral without smelling out of dept for the occassion. So it was then I dropped it in my basket.
It was the image of this product that caught my eye. It's an hour glass shape -and in my opinion it represents a real woman. The colour of the bottle itself is a frosty pale blue and gives that chilly feeling to it, and the word "GHOST" on the bottom of the bottle gives the impression it's suitable for funerals.
-How it smells-
The smell is phenominal! It has the misty morning smell with fresh florals but can also be used in the evening for a smoking mirrors finishing touch. Fresh florals and soft vanilla scent makes this an ideal fragrance for early birds in the mornings or those dancing divas that loves to party through out the night. It's a mysterious scent that will set eyes on you!
You can buy this product from Boots at £24.90 for 30mls, £33.90 for 50mls, or £44.50 for 100ml. Remember to use your advantage card to earn points or you can use your points to treat yourself to this phenominal fragrance!
This product is made in France.
Ghost is one of my favourite fragrances and these are the reasons why:
The smell- The smell is quite hard to describe, it's not exactly flowery but everyone who I have shown it to agrees that it smells lovely. I would say that the smell is aimed at a young person and would probably not suite someone who is older. The fragrance lasts for hours and is not too overpowering when you first put it on, if you do not wash your clothes after you have worn them then the smell will stay on them which I like. You do however need a few sprays to really notice the fragrance.
Packaging/bottle- Ghost comes in a bottle inside a small box. The box is quite plain and I just throw this away when I open it. The bottle however has a nice design and a unique shape, it is a frosty colour and you can see how much perfume is left inside which is useful so you know when you need to buy some more, it also has the word ghost written on it in small writing at the bottom. The lid on the bottle is a bit strange, but it does stay on well if put on correctly.
Price- This is probably a medium priced perfume, I normally pay a round £20 for a bottle. I have tried cheaper perfumes but the smell wears off very quickly so I think that ghost is worth the price. You can also buy it in a set with some ghost body lotion which is normally the same price, so if you see this I would get it.
I think ghost is aimed at young females and is a great unique fragrance, whether you buy it for yourself or as a gift for someone else I'm sure you will be very happy with it.
I feel the time is right for me to review one of my all time favorite fragrances "Ghost" I adore the aroma of this delightful scent and it's all thanks to my daughter, she bought me a bottle of this fragrance a long time ago and as soon as I smelt it I was hooked, I make sure I always have a bottle of this perfume on standby, in my opinion it is one of the nicest smelling perfumes I have ever had the pleasure to come across.
I love everything about this perfume, from the shape and feel of the beautifully curved frosted glass bottle to the absolutely delicious smell of the fragrance itself. The bottle is slim and sexy and feels lovely in my hand, smooth, slim and curvaceous topped with a lid that isn't really a lid as it has two open ends, so really it's just something you pop on top of the bottle to stop the perfume spraying out all over the place. I love how this one little thing makes this perfume different. It stands out to me in so many different ways to other perfumes, it's so simple and yet for me it's perfect.
All the notes in this perfume are divine, starting off with relaxing Rose petals and Amoretti seeds, followed by a delicate floral centre of Apricot blossom, Hibiscus and delicious bouquets of Jasmine before arriving at the musky incense, sandalwood, Vanilla and Amber base. These divine notes mixed together create such a wonderful overall smell that this perfume is truly captivating, making it a classic in my opinion.
I do wonder to myself how one little bottle of perfume has the power to captivate me as much as it does, why surely it is just another perfume, like so many others that are out there for the taking, and yes it's true I do adore many different scents, I have quite a few favorites some are expensive and some are not so expensive but price I feel does not come into it. If I like the aroma of a scent no matter what or who is wearing that scent if I like it enough, then I too want that scent, it could be a simple impulse spray or it could be the most expensive perfume in the world. If I smell it and I like it, then I usually want it. If it's cheap, I'm lucky I can easily go and buy it, however if it is an expensive scent that takes my fancy then I am not always so lucky with being able to afford that perfume for myself. With Ghost I was lucky, the instant I smelt it's delightful, spicy yet floral aroma I loved it. I spray a small amount on my neck and wrists in the morning and I can usually still smell it later in the afternoon but sometimes I just re spray because I love it so much. I can wear this perfume any time of day or night, as far as I'm concerned it suits both day and night wear, it really is a delightful scent to wear and as my first ever bottle of this was a gift that makes it even better. In my opinion this perfume is perfect for any woman, any age, just go for it, it's truly beautiful and will indeed make you feel beautiful as well.
~Where From And How Much~
This delightful fragrance can be purchased from many different drugstores or indeed online from a number of different websites. Semichem website are currently selling this perfume for £29.99 for a 50 ml bottle. I think that's a bargain for such a beautiful feminine scent. If you haven't yet had the pleasure of smelling this wonderful fragrance then in my opinion you are really missing out.
I have to give Ghost 5 stars just because.....
Thank you for reading my review that may also be posted on other sites.
Anyone that reads my perfume reviews will know that just before Christmas I treated myself to a few perfumes sets so I could try out loads of little perfumes rather than spending loads on the full sized bottles. I think Ive worked my way through most of the sets now but Ive only just got around to trying this scent over the last few weeks - thats what happens when you have so many bottles! The perfume Im talking about is this 'Ghost Woman' which I believe is the original Ghost fragrance. I had high hopes for this scent as most other Ghost perfumes Ive tried have been amazing and thankfully this one didnt let me down - its a gorgeous scent.
Price: 50ml bottle - £28
Stockists: Amazon, Superdrug, Boots, The Perfume Shop etc ...
Other Info: Also available in 30 & 100ml bottles for different prices. Described as a deeply musky & feminine fragrance with spicy undertones.

As I mentioned I got this bottle as part of a set so it might be slightly different to the design you would get if you bought the full sized bottle - I do assume its the same only smaller. This perfume comes in a small curved bottle which starts off quite thick and bulky at the bottom and then curves up smaller towards the top. The bottle is a light blue in colour but it totally transparent so you can always see how much of the perfume you have left. At the top is a small plastic lid which is pulled off and then you dab the bottle against your skin to apply the scent - although the full sized version might have a push down nozzle. The bottle is small but it is made from quite chunky glass so I cant imagine its easily broken - it hasnt with me yet anyway - and the lid seems very secure so I dont think leaking will be a problem either. Its a very simple shape and colour but its quite feminine and stunning I think and its very easy to display. Cute and effective.

Im pretty rubbish when it comes to noticing the individual notes in a perfume so I did do some digging around the net to find this list of ingredients:
Top Notes: Rose Petals & Jasmine.
Middle Notes: Amber, Vanilla & Peach.
Base Notes: Sandalwood & Musk.
For once I think the description of this perfume is pretty much spot on it is a fruity-floral offering which is very feminine but I cant personally pick out any of the spicy notes. The musky tones are definitely present throughout - I thought the musk might have been added as a top note its so strong so Im shocked to see it at the bottom as I reckon its the scent that is present the whole time your wearing this and one of the strongest full stop.
On my skin Id say the Rose & Vanilla are the strongest scent so straight away this is a quite sweet floral perfume - sort of what I expected from this one anyway. They alongside the musk remain the strongest scents throughout - they mix really well together though and even though each note is equally as strong in my opinion none are overpowering or too sweet/floral for my nose so Im very happy. The Peach does start to come through after a few minutes which makes the scent overall much sweeter and fruiter - which makes wearing it, for me ,much more enjoyable but the scent does remain more floral than anything else.
The Amber & Sandalwood come in more towards the end and warms up the scent a little - not too much as this remains a clean, fresh fragrance but it does take some of the sweet edge away so those notes save this perfume from being a bit one dimensional. Its a very clean, floral and definitely casual scent - not my favourite Ghost offering but I do enjoy wearing it from time to time.

Id say is about average in my experience as Ive found this lasts around 5 hours on my skin. I do find I have to re-apply it a few times throughout the day but my little bottle will still last me a long time.
I dont think there is an age group who I would recommend this to over any other. Its the type of scent I think most people will enjoy wearing regardless of age - although do try before you buy as no perfume is for everyone!
Day Or Night? Summer Or Winter:
I definitely say this is a daytime perfume - I need something much heavier for nightwear - but as its so light and airy this is a great perfume for summer and the daytime - perfect for wearing in beer garden weather like it is right now!!

Id definitely recommend this perfume for lovers of fruity/floral scents regardless of your age but do try it before you commit to buying it. I enjoy wearing this and will be buying a new bottle when mine runs out - a solid 4*s from me.
Thanks For Reading.

For my birthday last year, I got a huge selection of perfumes and Eau de Toilette's, and only recently have began using them, the first one I've tried was the Ghost for women Eau de Toilette, and have never tried any previous Ghost products, so I thought I'd give it a go.
Ghost women comes in a really stylish bottle, which is large at the top and the bottom, but thinner in the middle, almost an exaggerated hourglass shape, with a silver lid, which I personally don't think suit's the bottle, but its quite a minor problem really. The bottle is made of frosted glass, which I personally love, and I really consider this a really stylish and attractive bottle, and looks a lot more expensive then it is. The Eau de Toilette comes in a 30ml, 50ml and 100ml bottle, I am reviewing the 50ml bottle.
The packaging of Ghost women is fairly simple, with the box being a light blue box, with silver writing, which is simple, but again looks nice and attractive, especially if you are giving it as a gift.
The first thing I noticed about Ghost women is the rather dominant smell, which I could easily see people not liking, and sometimes I feel it is a little over powering, especially during the day. So I would avoid if you hate really strong smelling Eau de Toilette. The smell is extremely hard to describe, it smells almost like a musky smell, along with a strong smell of roses, which I personally love, but I could see why some people might not like the smell, as it isn't very a very flowery smell, except for the roses. I don't think it is a very summery scent, I defiantly would wear it more during winter.
Wearing Ghost women, I did notice that the actual liquid makes my skin feel wet and almost greasy, which I actually hated! Even with a light spray, it made me feel greasy, so I've decided to start spraying it on my clothes, instead of spraying it on my skin. So I would advise spraying it on your skin before buying, if you can, to see if you have the same problem as I have. Although as an advantage, the scent lasts all day, which I personally love, as you really don't need to re apply, especially good on a night out.
It is always hard to recommend Eau de Toilette to a certain type of person, but if you love roses it really is the perfect scent for you, as it has a strong rose smell to it. Also Ghost for women, is a really nice gift for women who enjoy having a really strong or romantic perfume. I would avoid buying it if you're a girly girl or enjoy more summery flowery smells.
Ghost women is available at Boots, Superdrug and the Perfume Shop but also on many online beauty shops and costs roughly: £23 for 30ml, £30 for 50ml and £43 for 100ml, but the internet prices might be much cheaper.
I received Ghost in a gift set for Christmas a couple of years ago. I'm not the biggest fan of Ghost perfumes as I find them far too strong but I did like the bottle that Ghost came in. It is sold in a clear blue coloured hour glass shaped bottle which is quite interesting.
I tried the perfume on eventually but only did so once and never will again! It is possibly the most unpleasant perfume I have ever used. For starters the scent is so heavy and strong you can smell someone wearing it from a mile away. It is not a feminine fragrance at all, I think it smells much more like an aftershave than a delicate perfume. The aroma is far too masculine for my liking and far too overpowering! It has a sort of musky, mouldy aroma to it which is rather unpleasant.
I know some women do like a more masculine smelling perfume but I think this one is far too much so and would really not recommend buying it.
If you do, it is definitely for evening wear. I don't think anyone could pull this fragrance off during the day because it is much too strong.
Overall, far better suited to a man and should not be retailed towards women in my opinion
The reason i actually started wearing Ghost perfume was because i had a friend who always had a particularly nice scent, i could always smell it whenever she was near by or walked by me so i finally asked her which fragrance it was that she wore and she told me about Ghost. When i was next in my local Beauty department store i tested out a bottle and indeed it was the same scent that my friend wore and i loved it!
Everyone has their own different way of describing their perception of a perfume scent and my perception of the Ghost scent is that it smells like Sugary Jelly! That's the best way i can think to describe the smell, i think it's a versatile perfume too as it is suitable for all ages - not too old & not too young. It can also be worn for any occasion.
I wear my Ghost perfume on most of my nights out and everyone always recognises it, someone will always pipe up with "Mmmm who's wearing Ghost?" and i proudly announce "It's me!"
It's affordably priced too and you can pick up 100ml, 50ml or 30ml bottles giving you a lot of choice. A 50ml bottle is around £25. Ghost perfume is always an appreciated gift!
I started using Ghost: The fragrance quite a few years ago. I originally discovered this perfume because my brother bought it back for me from holiday - prior to that I was unaware of this fragrance existed even though it had already been around for quite a few years. The first bottle I had was a small 30 ml but I have since had the 50 ml bottle and I now am lucky enough to have the 100 ml bottle.
The bottle itself is very simple. The bottle is frosted glass and a cylinder shape. It narrows towards the middle where you place your hand which makes the fragrance easy to grasp. The lid compliments the bottle nicely as it is a matt grey on the sides and chrome on the top. The box the perfume comes in is also quite simple. It is a light, icy blue with a subtle embossed pattern in the same colour and boldly displays the brand name Ghost. I think that the bottle and packaging are understated and sophisticated but I do prefer some of the other Ghost perfume bottles that are available. I really love to display all of my perfumes as I am regularly bought lots of various fragrances by family and friends. Ghost: The fragrance looks lovely amongst all the other varied bottles I have.
Ghost is an avalanche of white flowers accented with the warm peachiness of ambrette seeds. The top notes of this fragrance include ambrette seeds and rose. Jasmine, hibiscus and apricot come together for the delicate heart notes of this scent. The base note combines intensive notes of incense, sandalwood, vanilla, musk and amber into a gentle aura. This fragrance is a fantastic fusion of fruity and floral scents. I think it smells sweet, fruity and light. I absolutely love this fragrance and it is probably my signature scent. I wear it on a daily basis and although I would like to experiment with other Ghost fragrances, I am never disappointed to receive another bottle of Ghost: The fragrance. I strangely find that this is a really uplifting fragrance - it always makes me feel really good. I would strongly recommend it!! I have never got tired of this scent in all the years I have been wearing it.
I have always found Ghost: The fragrance to be a long lasting scent. I never have to reapply or use a lot of the perfume. The bottle does seem to last quite a long time despite using it on a daily basis. I am regularly complimented whenever I wear this scent as this is a very popular fragrance amongst my friends, many of which also use this perfume. My boyfriend particularly likes this fragrance which is probably why it always makes an appearance on birthdays and at Christmas.
This isn't the most expensive perfume I have but neither is it the cheapest - I would say it is middle of the road. I do think that this fragrance is fairly reasonably priced. I do recommend that if you are interested in buying this perfume to have a good look around as the price seems to differ greatly from shop to shop but I completely love this fragrance and would buy it whatever the price. Ghost seems to now be a very popular fragrance amongst women so you can find it in almost all shops and it is readily available over the internet.
This perfume is perfect for me. It is a floral, fruity, light and really uplifting scent that comes in a simple bottle. I couldn't recommend this perfume more highly!!!!
I received this as a mini sized bottle as part of a gift set and I'm sorry to say that I really don't like it at all. You can buy this for around £30 for a 50ml bottle and it comes in a blue box. The bottle is a frosted white glass in an hourglass shape with a silver cap.
I love the Ghost Deep Night fragrance but this one is nothing like it at all. It's a floral fragrance and I find it very old womanly and it smells a bit like what I'd imagine stale talcom powder to smell like. It's very musky too which makes it quite a heavy and strong. As the fragrance wears away it doesn't get much better and it leaves a vanilla and rose type smell on your skin but it's not nice and it reminds me of cheap fabric conditioner.
A lot of people seem to like this from what I can see from the reviews so perhaps it's just me! I like sweet or fruity, fresh clean perfumes and this one just doesn't tick any of those boxes for me.
Product: Ghost Perfume
I'm a huge fragrance fan but I haven't written a review before in this category, until now that is.......
In all honestly i find it quite difficult putting it into words when writing a review for a fragrance as I find there's only so much you can say about a particular perfume.... so please be gentle with me ;).
I've loved Ghost ever since i've been in my teens, it quickly became my signature scent and I still till this day wear it and always re buy, that in itself speaks volumes.
I buy Ghost from Debenhams, I pay £31.00 for 50ml and you can also get the 100ml bottle for £43.00.
The perfume is in a slimmer hourglass shape blue frosted bottle with a silver spray top. I love the look of the bottle, kind of ghostly looking which fits appropriately with it's name. Classy and elegant looking which looks fab on my dressing table.
What Ghost says:
The first Ghost Fragrance was launched in 2000.
The top note is distinguished by hibiscus, rose petals and ambrette grains.
Jasmine, spicy sandalwood and warm frankincense tones combine into a delicate middle note.
The base note combines intensive notes of vanilla, musk, ambergris and apricots into a gentle aura.
Ghost is quite sweet smelling but not too over powering, for me it strikes the perfect balance. I can easily wear ghost through from day to evening, it's a light pleasant smelling perfume, quite florally and fresh.
Ghost as a very unique smell to it and i can always identify if someones wearing it.
The perfume is long lasting and I still can smell it on myself hours after applying, this is a huge plus point for me as i've found nowadays especially with the newer fragrances that the smell doesn't stand the test of time.
Ghost is 100% reliable for keeping it's scent on my skin throughout the day, definitely as that staying power which to me is important in a perfume.
Ghost is a firm favourite of mine and something which I will buy time and time again, two thumbs up from me.

Ghost is a fragrance I have been wearing on and off for a few years now. It is the original of the Ghost fragrances, a range which also includes Ghost Deep Night, Ghost Cherish and Ghost Luminous. It comes in a beautiful and sophisticated pale blue frosted hourglass bottle, which looks lovely on a shelf or dressing table.
Ghost smells very light and feminine, sweet and floral. It is made up of mellow hibiscus, rose petals and musk along with jasmine, spicy sandalwood and warm incense. The perfume carries overtones of apricot, vanilla, musk and ambergris. The perfume is long lasting and I can still smell it on my skin a good few hours after application.
I feel the perfume is more appropriate for daywear as it is fairly light, although it is very sweet and sometimes I find it a little sickly - this tends to be on those days when I've had a few too many the night before, so not a regular thing! It is also slightly too heavy for hot summer days I think, although it is perfect for light summer nights. Generally for evening I prefer the companion perfume Ghost Deep Night.
Ghost is an original and unique scent and it manages to be girly and sweet while also remaining sophisticated and grown up. I feel it is appropriate for wearing for work or leisure. I really like this perfume and it is one of my staples.
The perfume usually costs around £20 for 30ml, £30 for 50ml and just over £40 for 100ml, which is a reasonable price for such a popular, well-known and sophisticated fragrance. It is easily available from most perfume retailers.
The ghost perfume has got to be one of my all time winter fragrances. I have been wearing it for a good few years but personally find it is more of a winter smell so only purchase it then (or hopefully get it for Christmas).
The Ghost perfume is a popular one although having said that I do believe you wither love it or you hate it. It is more often than not on some sort of special offer in the run up to Christmas especially if you buy it in one of those box sets which have the moisturiser as well as the perfume (which I can't stand as I am always left with moisturisers that I never seem to use.)
The regular price of a bottle of Ghost is dependant upon the size which you are buying. My last purchase a few weeks back cost me £22 when buying it from Superdrug in the high street. You probably can pick it up for cheaper online but I am a see it and want it type of girl. This bought me only the small 30 ml bottle which I hope will see me over till Christmas and some kind soul will buy it for me as a gift (if you need my address just ask!)
The design of the bottle is nothing too special although I feel it is a classy shape and gives an air of sophistication but then that could be the Chav in me talking! However the bottle is rather skinny as is prone to falling over if too heavy handed with it. The icy blue colourings of the bottle and frosted glass give it a wintry type feel straight away in my opinion and the overall look of the bottle is okay.
Now comes the best bit, what it actually smell like. Well I have to say, as I have said before, that it is not to everyone's liking and rather like Marmite (no, it doesn't smell like Marmite but you know what I mean). The jasmine and spicy sandalwood take up for forefront of the Ghost aroma and give it a deep and sensual type of smell that I really like. I feel the are the key tones which linger the most on the skin. The undertones of vanilla and apricot lighten the scent ever so slightly making it a warming and more appealing fragrance when first applied. The muskiness of the scent then comes through once the initial spray has floated away to leave a smell which is truly in a class of its own.
I really like the fragrance and thankfully it has quite a good staying power because when I apply a good few squirts in the morning, I can still smell the perfume on me by the end of the day. I should say that a little does indeed go a long way and that too much of a good thing can turn into Pat Butcher so I would use the perfume sparingly.
All in all I have to give this Ghost perfume a top score of 5 out of 5 stars and a high recommendation. It is one of my all time favourite winter smells.
Many thanks for taking the time to read.
I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you.
