Perfumes, I find, are a very personal choice for most women, many of whom prefer to choose what ones they would like to wear for themselves. Therefore you can often be placed in a difficult or awkward position when receiving a perfume as a gift. I received Ghost by Ghost recently and as this was a scent I had never tried before my heart sank!! Thankfully and much to my pleasure, I found I actually really liked this perfume.

I found this to be a very feminine perfume right from the look of the bottle, which is tall and slender narrowing at the middle with a bit of a waistline, giving the impression of a tall elegant lady!

Ghost by Ghost was first manufactured in 1999 and gives an oriental fragrance. The fragrances subtly blended to produce this very feminine scent include rose petals, jasmine, vanilla, spicy sandalwood, musk and apricot.

When first applied to my pulse points I was aware of the strong spiciness of the sandalwood and musk coming through, I found it initially quite potent, but after about half an hour the scent had calmed to leave a delicate, very feminine, sweet, floral scent, leaving the most prominent scents to be jasmine, rose and vanilla, although I did detect a hint of the fruity apricot coming through.

I loved the way this perfume made me feel more feminine and almost elegant (if that's possible!), I love the sensual scent, which radiates from my skin for the rest of the day making me sparkle.

This perfume is quite long lasting, although I did find myself re-applying at lunchtime, but not because the scent had faded more because I love the scent so much.

Ghost is a London based company formed in 1984 by fashion designer, Tanya Sarne, who wanted to produce a modern and interesting range of products for "the real woman". She has certainly produced a very subtle, feminine scent in Ghost, which has captured my heart.
