Earthy scents? Funnily enough I didn't smell like a compost heap when I put it on. (Giorgio Armani: Aqua di Giò Homme, Eau de Toilette)

Ok, so I first bought this aftershave 6 months or so back after I was recommended it on a forum (Recommended aftershave on a forum, how geeky can you get!?) But make no mistake, a man cannot be seen as geeky whilst smelling like this.
Acqua Di Gio is a very understated aftershave, it looks it, and it smells it. It comes in a frosted glass bottle in a rounded rectangular shape, much more dignified than the extravagant looking bottles many fragrances come in these days. The writing on the bottle is also very modest, just a simple font stating the name of the aftershave.
Onto the smell itself, well, this is also a very dignified, modest smell a first, you open the bottle and think "Oh, that's nice", but then you apply it to your skin and think "Wow, that's absolutely amazing!". The fragrance changes unbelievably when you put it on your skin, there are earthy undertones to the smell that Armani stated there was, but not the kind of earthy undertones that smell like you've been rolling in mud all afternoon. It smells very natural and is overpowered delightfully by a fresh citrus kind of scent. Since I started using this i've had no ends to the amount of compliments i've had, and that's nothing to do with the fact I started taking more than one shower a year. The best thing is, it lasts as well, one application will do you proud for a whole night out.
The pric was also quite acceptable for such a nice fragrance, I got the 100ml bottle, an extra 10ml bottle and a free padlock for £23.99. Ok, it was on special offer so it would have cost £29.99 otherwise. It's available at many places now, I got mine from asos.com.

Summary: A brilliant scent which lasts a long time.
