Advantages: Smells yummy, nice bottle, free t shirt

Disadvantages: costs quite a lot

Just to clarify, this review is actually about the limited edition Armani Code "Summer", which I can't find on this website, but is still lovely and therefore merits a mention.
Looking for a pleasant fragrance is indeed an arduous task, one that I have written about before (Paco Robbane, Black xs for her), but in this case, I found what would have been a chore a total delight - I was shopping, not for a lady fragrance, but a gentleman's frangrance. Somehow much more fun.
This is a wonderfully fresh Eau de Toilette, not musky or overpowering at all, but light, citrus-y and fresh. I don't mean fresh in the way that prefume companies seem to (with "fresh" meaning "linen" or "cotton" or some such that smells like neither), but, like it's name, it is summery. We discovered that since it is quite subtle (certainly in comparison to a lot of other scents), you need to use a few squirt of it over all of you, but once you have put it on, it remains there for the whole day, changing very slightly as it lingers, but always keeping a hint of the same smell. Another good point of this perfume is that it isn't too manly to be used (in smaller doses) by a woman, who might have come out without her own perfume (although to be honest, I can't really see this situation being too likely).
The bottle is very simple, just pale frosted glass with a dark grey cap, and it comes in an elegant cuboid white box, the whole thing nicely understated - just like the perfume itself.
It cost about £35 (for some reason, gentleman smellies seem to cost more than lady smellies) and with it, I recieved a black Armani T shirt, but I think that offer may only be available in the Newcastle branch of Fenwicks, and I certainly wouldn't go for it just for the free gift - I believe Ralph Laurn Polo are offering a very nice weekend bag free with one of their fragrances at the moment.

Summary: Nice man smellies
