I first received this perfume as a sample with an online order, and I liked it so much I ended up buying a full bottle of the stuff, not something that often happened with me! A 50ml bottle, which is the size I have, will set you back £46 in Boots, or you can get a smaller 30ml bottle for £35. Obviously with perfumes it pays to shop around and I'm sure you'll be able to find this cheaper elsewhere.
The bottle is lovely, it's similar to the original Armani Code bottle, but in much lighter blue tones. The bottle has a frosted effect, then the floral design on the front, that is black on the original, is transparent so you can see the pale blue liquid inside. I think the lighter colours of this bottle makes it slightly more elegant and feminine than the original.
The scent has top notes of bergamot, bitter orange essence and pear, mid notes of orange blossom, moon flower and acanthus, and base notes of Tonka bean, cedar wood and leather.
This is another scent that takes a while to break through the initial hit of chemicals when first sprayed. The first scent that comes through is fresh and crisp, the orange and pear giving a lovely fresh fruity edge and the bergamot for me stays hidden in the background. Shortly after this, the mid notes begin to peek through and turn the scent more floral and feminine, but still very fresh and light. The base notes do start to come through fairly quickly but I find they're very subtle so the scent still remains fresh and light, the heavier woody notes giving a subtle warmth and depth to the scent, but not taking over.
I find the quality of this scent, as with the original, is really good, it lasts all day without needing topping up. I also feel that this is much more unique than the original, which again speaks of quality to me. It's light and fresh, girly and summery, and I would say it's perfect for day time wear, but definitely special enough to wear to events and occasions. It would also suit any woman, young or old.
All in all I really enjoy this fragrance, it's much more original and unique than the original Armani Code, and it's very versatile so I get a lot of use out of it. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try if you haven't already.
I bought Armani Code Luna because I really enjoyed wearing Armani code the original about 5 years ago now! Armani Code Luna was a nice present to myself last year and it was bought to be my companion over the Summer! Luna is not trying to be anything different from the original really as the bottle is the same as the original. This is a slightly new interpretation but reminds me of my youth!
So what has changed? The composition has a new ingredient which gave the perfume house inspiration for the name. Moons are a symbol of femininity, magic and sensuality. There is a special flower called Mirabilis that blooms only at night when the moon comes out, it is this flower that gives the perfume a slightly new take. Another name for the Mirabilis is fleur de lune. Now is that a nice story or what!

This smells very similar to the previous version but it is lighter and fresher. The scent opens as a lovely citrusy scent and you can detect range blossom straight away and then it settles out as a lovely, warm vanilla and floral girlie scent. The perfume is not overpowering and it is very light and airy. The perfume has a real simple feel to and it is refreshing to find an uncomplicated aroma that lasts. You can wear this all day, everyday and it is appropriate for work wear or for evening wear.
The bottle is lovely nicely shaped and made from frosted glass with a delicate blossom on it. The cap is black plastic and it clicks on and off. The bottle has a really nice feel to it and it is nice that they have kept it the same as the old bottle.
I find this perfume really long lasting and you can detect a faint whiff of vanilla for hours and hours after use. I never usually go for vanilla scents but this really complements the orange blossom and the floral notes. I love the way the scent makes me feel really fresh and awake and I will most definitely be buying it again. I think that I prefer this to the original as it seems slightly more mature but it still holds a girly, really feminine charm.
