I have been using Amarige for a while now and like it. It has a very strong sweet floral scent, therefore can be used sparingly. I find it sits on my skin well and the scent tends to last a good while too. I would definatly say this perfume was one to wear in the evening, when out, rather that in the day due to it strong aroma. it has quite a ... Read the complete review

I received Amarige as a gift although I had smelt it before and knew that I would like it. The scent is quite heavy with floral tones and therefore suits a more mature woman. It is quite strong but not overpowering and because of this you only need a small amount which lingers throughout the day. Therefore this makes it good value for money ... Read the complete review

A little bit of history about Givenchy: Hubert De Givenchy was born in France in 1927. He designed for many of the famous French fashion houses. In 1952 he opened his own Fashion house, his designs for Audrey Hepburn popularised the sleeveless high bosomed dress. Givenchy showed his last couture collection in ... Read the complete review

What's the first thing you do when your parents go off on holiday? Ok I'm 33 but the first thing I do is jump on their bed making whooping noises and then I raid the cupboards. Now me and my Mum are like best friends but one thing she does (like my real best friend did when we lived together way back) is she nicks my stuff. All the time and ... Read the complete review

I am not someone who usually buys perfume right away without going round asking for samples to see if I like the fragrance. Usually inside magazines you can find the scented strips while you either peel off or open up and then you can test the perfume. I was inside a big Department store, I think it was the House of Fraser when I stopped and came ... Read the complete review

I was fifteen years old when I got my first bottle of 'adult' fragrance and I'm a strong believer that there's a very good reason for it not coming into my possession any sooner. At fifteen the words 'less is more' are something of a foreign language and this has never been more true than when it comes to perfume. In true ... Read the complete review

I first smelt this perfume on a friend and thought it was a really nice fragrance and it was one of those perfumes where people know your wearing it as I can’t stand to put a perfume on and other people not to be able to smell that your wearing perfume. This perfume is very classy and fairly strong but not overpowering. I’d ... Read the complete review

One of the worst scents to come out in the last 20 years, in my view (and it's competing with Poison, Organza, and the ill-fated Lacroix scent, now mercifully withdrawn but which was identical to perm lotion!) Givenchy have made some lovely scents in the past (Le De was one) but not this one. I had the misfortune to work in the same office as ... Read the complete review

I first smelt this perfume on a co-worker and just HAD to have it!! It is a lovely fruity scent which is light enough for day use but also deep enough for evening.....My boyfriend adores it and I have been asked time and time again what the name of it is.... It is a bit pricey, but it definitely makes up for the price.....Unlike some other ... Read the complete review

Givency's Amarige was the first "grown up" perfume that I ever bought and nearly 15 years later it is still my favourite. I love it. It's a very classy perfume, that is subtle and smell's a bit woody/oriental ( I'm useless at describing scent's so try it out at your local shop!!!!)It's a perfume that does ... Givenchy is known around the world for making wonderful fragrances. Ysatis is divine. I'm sorry but I really cannot say the same about Amarige. Yes, the packaging is very nice, and the price isn't bad at all, but I really do not like the smell. It's sold as a classic fragrance but it is far too floral and heavy for me. I ... This is what I would call a very classy scent. I orginally bought it for my mum, but found myself stealing into her bedroom and spraying it on myself. The scent itself is fairly strong but definately not overpowering or unpleasant. It is, however, quite a heavy perfume, and I suggest if you are trying it for the first time, only spray a little on ... Read the complete review
