I received some free samples of Ange ou Demon Eau de Parfum when I placed an order with Debenhams online. I am not usually one to wear perfumes as I generally find them much too strong and overpowering. However, I do love Givenchy makeup so I decided to give the perfume a go.

This perfume is meant to have an Oriental Floral scent, according to Givenchy. As I don't know much about perfumes I can't really comment on the accuracy of this description. I find it very difficult to describe scents but this one smells certainly quite flowery without being too sickly sweet or old ladyish! It has strong notes of lily in the fragrance which is very pleasant.

I don't detect any musk at all in this scent which for me is a major plus in this perfume. I think musk smells very heavy and obvious and prefer lighter perfumes such as this one.

The name of this perfume, Ange ou Demon, makes me smile because it is so playful. I think that everyone has two sides to their personality - the well-behaved side that we usually try to adhere to and the slightly naughty side that comes out when we are feeling playful. I think this perfume suits both sides because it is neither too naughty or too nice! It is the kind of perfume you could take home to your mother, let us say, but it is certainly not boring or staid!

I tested this fragrance out one night when I was going out on a date. I found it has excellent staying powder as I could still detect the scent on my skin several hours later. My boyfriend absolutely loved this perfume and said he found it very alluring, which was certainly nice to hear!

I don't own a full bottle of this yet although I certainly plan to purchase it if no one gets the hint and buys it for me for Christmas! I have priced this up and it costs around £35 in Boots and you also get the Ange ou Demon powder for this price if you buy the gift set. Plus your advantage points, of course. I find this is about average for a perfume so even though it seems expensive it is about what I expected to pay.
