Advantages: warm, musky, and sensual

Disadvantages: poor bottle design

The name givenchy is one that inspires, with tones or class, and style.
The scent arm of givenchy was created in 1957, created by Hubert de Givenchy, and aided as a style icon, by Audrey Hepburn. He had established the fashion size of the business in 1952, and his designs were worn by the rich and famous. Jackie Kennedy wore a givenchy outfit to her husbands funeral.

Ysatis was first produced in 1985, and was described then as a
"feminine scent, with woody, oriental tones"

Its main fragrance bases are: Mandarin, oakmoss, rose, iris, vanilla, clove and amber.

The eau de toilette comes in 4 sizes
25mls- around £25.00
30mls- around £30.00
50mls- around £40.00
100mls- around £55.00

Also available is a body veil cream at about £22.00 for 200mls,
deodrant- 100g for 19.00, and bath gel 200mls for £18.00.

It is often cheaper to buy a gift set with all 3/4 in.

What do I think?:

Fantastic perfume rates as my number one. Bought it first many years ago and now always have a bottle to hand.

My husband also agrees that it is the fragrance of choice.

It is a rich musky smell that lingers well and seems to last forever on you, esp if used in combination with the bath foam and body veil.
It is definately an evening perfume, too much for general daytime use, but I also think it always smells best, when wearing it in a warm climate.
Those subtle blends seem to be enhanced by heat, so great as a holiday perfume.
I would think generally suited to slightly older buyers, not one for the teens, but mid twenties upwards.
I think the bottle is a bit of a let down, really rather plain. The pleasure of perfume is also in the bottle, not just the scent, so come one Givenchy pep up the bottle.

So if you like those woody, musky scents, this is a great choice.
