Advantages: nice simple bottle, unusual fragrance, only need to use a little

Disadvantages: may not suit all tastes, easy to get too much out at a time

This eau de toilette perfume was one of the first I think to be brought out by a celebrity ( Jennifer Lopez in this case) when it first hit the market in 2002 & has become one of my younger daughter's (aged 18) favourite fragrances.

It was bought as a present for Christmas from Santa & I'm pretty sure this small 7.5ml bottle cost him around £4.50 (according to the elves anyway). It comes in a smart box which has a very long list of ingredients printed on the reverse which I won't list here - just to tell you it contains alcohol & many long , and to me, meaningless chemical terms.

The bottle is very plain & curvy & the name & logo are etched on the front in white. It has a plastic pull-off top but a rather large hole which means you can put on too much if you don't take care. This particular size didn't come with the bracelet which is shown in the picture but the bottle looks stylish enough.

I'm not good at describing fragrances but will do my best here! I would initially have said this was definitely aimed at the younger market because when first used it smells very fruity & rather strong but having used it myself (in my mature years) I'd say it would suit all ages as long as you don't go overboard.

The strong smell settles down after a while & it leaves a fresher & more subtle perfume which, according to the ingredients, consists of geranium, citronella & cinnamon - sounds a strange mix but, in my opinion, works well for the day as well as evening. I'm trying to think of a brand that's similar but can't think of one which means it could easily become a signature eau de toilette.

Although the fragrance settles down after popping on the skin it does seem to last all day without disappearing & because you only need a little it seems like a good buy to me. We obviously all have different preferences when it comes to using fragrances but I think it's worth having a quick squirt of a 'Glow by J.Lo' tester & see what you think.

Summary: well worth having a squirt of a tester?
