Advantages: Softer than Gucci Envy Me, not headache-inducing, overall lovely smell

Disadvantages: None I can think of

I really love this perfume. It has a smell which is somehow both sweet and a little musty so that it smells gorgeous but doesn't give me the headache that some other musty perfumes do. I would guess that people who love the musty, heavier side of the perfume spectrum may find this a little too sweet? I am only guessing that, would be interesting to know...

********** The Bottle **********

A simple rectangular light green bottle with a faint pattern all over it. The name Gucci Envy Me 2 is written on just one side of the cap. I guess it's a fairly average bottle rather than, for example, the fancy bottle that Gucci by Gucci comes in, but for me a stunning bottle is more a nice plus than a deciding factor when I choose my perfume.

********** Notes and Smell **********

This is a floral perfume, although I don't always like describing perfumes I like in this way as if someone described a perfume as floral to me I would have visions of an overpowering sweet flowery smell, and this (and the other floral perfumes I like) doesn't smell like this to me. It has notes of orange, violet leaf, magnolia, rose, purple heliotrope, patchouli, vanilla and sandalwood.

The smell isn't overpowering or headache-inducing, and it has reasonable staying power (not as good as Issy Myake for me, but still stays on pretty well and for probably the first half of the night at least). It is quite sweet but not too sweet, and a fairly delicate smell but while being noticeable and pretty distinctive.

In comparison to Gucci by Gucci it is a lot softer and less musty.

********** Price **********

It is around £21 for 30ml and £28 for 50ml.

While it hasn't quite reached the pedestal where my absolute favourite perfumes Pure Poison and Issy Myake reside (that's a tough job!), it's still probably in my top 5 and I would definitely give it a smell in a department store to see if it's for you.

Summary: A lovely soft perfume from Gucci - give it a go
