Advantages: Beautiful subtle flora fragrance, not too overpowering

Disadvantages: Can last for a long time and becoming distracting

This is the latest perfume from Gucci for women, launched in time for the 2009 summer holiday.
Presentation:
The perfume itself comes in a predominantly white box, with black markings. Gucci seems to be targeting the 25-35 year age range here with it's classy monochrome design, rather than compete with cheaper sickly sweet perfumes donned in pink for the younger adults. The bottle itself is indicative of this, a beautiful simple and elegant hexagonal glass bottle, topped with a small plastic hexagonal black cap.
The Scent:
On initial sniff, the perfume is very light and flowery - not at all overwhelming like it's counterpart, Gucci by Gucci. Gucci has described the perfume as citrus, peony, rose, osmanthus, pink pepper, sandalwood and patchouli, but to the normal consumer, none of these powerful scents really stand out on its own. Instead, what the perfume is a mixture of all these creating a subtle and very feminine floral scent which only a hint of sweetness.
Test Run:
I've been wearing this for a week everyday now and have noticed that the scent by about the 3rd hour of its wear, changes to a slight musk smell. In fact, the scent, albeit is not very strong on initial squirt, stays on the skin and I can smell it throughout my entire work day (which is a good 8 hours+). Obviously, this changes from person to person.
Overall:
I like this scent and so the long wear time on this perfume is not all distracting but I can understand if some women find the scent all too much by the end of the day. A light fragrance which is easy to wear, work or play.
Gucci Flora is available in 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette. I bought the 30ml bottle for about £35 at Beauty Base.
