Gucci Flora, Eau de toilette

I bought this perfume for my mum at mother's day this year and I liked it so much that I went out and bought myself the same one a few days later. It is a lovely floral, not too heavy a fragrance that would suit most women but personally I think that it is aimed at slightly younger than older ladies. It is quite a sweet 'girly' smell that makes me feel very uplifting.

--The smell--

Personally, I think that this is definitely a daytime and casual use perfume; with its beautiful floral fragrance it is perfect for the summer weather approaching.

Notes include Citrus Accord, Peony, Rose, Osmanthus Flower, Pink Pepper, and Sandalwood, the fragrance top note suggests the freshness and delicacy of the citrus fruits, the base notes of sandalwood and pink pepper give it the added depth and slightly sensual hints.

--The look--

The perfume comes in a lovely hexagonal clear glass bottle allowing you to see the slightly yellowy tinged perfume. Personally I always prefer when perfume bottles are see through I like to be able to keep on top of how much of anyone perfume I have left. Allowing me to saviour any that are running low or predicting what I would like for up and coming birthdays or holidays.

--The cost--

It's quite an expensive perfume retailing at £44.50 for a 50ml bottle or 30ml for £35.00 bottle. However, as with most perfumes it last for ages. I think I am only about a third through my 50ml bottle.

When I bought this (from Debenhams - I don't know if everywhere was doing this) I also got a free handbag bottle, one of those cylindrical bottles that you can easily carry around with you. I was pleased to find that this handbag add-on is actually a very fair size - 7ml. It made the perfume a little bit more of a bargain getting that bit extra.

--Overall--

The perfume does last for several hours but I do find that I re-spray this one mid afternoon to get back the beautiful fresh smelling floral scent.
I am going to award this four dooyoo stars out of five. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a great day perfume that smells fantastic. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase and would probably buy a new one when this one runs out. It also makes a great gift for that someone special in your life.
