I have seen a few youtubers raving about Gucci’s fragrance, Envy Me and I managed to eventually try it for myself in the airport last year.
I love a lot of Gucci’s fragrances and this one was another one I kept in mind that I wanted to add to my collection.
My husband bought me this fragrance online earlier this year.
~ Price and availability ~
Envy Me is available in 30ml, 50ml and 100ml bottles.
The 30ml bottle is available from allbeauty.com for £19.95 (RRP £40.00).
The 50ml bottle is available from allbeauty.com for £35.05 (RRP £49.00).
The 100ml bottle is available from allbeauty.com for £42.95 (RRP £65.00).
~ Bottle ~
It comes in a tall and narrow square bottle.
It has a white plastic lid with ‘Gucci Envy Me’ written on the front and it has a pink pattern on each side of the bottle with two letter G’s – one upside down incorporated into the pattern.
~ Scent ~
The fragrance is a nice, fruity-floral, but it stands out a bit more than your typical fruity-floral.
The pomegranate note is the most prominent and it makes me think of Versace Bright Crystal, which also has pomegranate in it.
There is also a slightly watery scent in this fragrance, but at the same time I think the fragrance has quite an expensive scent.
The top notes are pink peony, pink pepper, cassia, peach and mango.
The heart notes are litchi, pomegranate and pineapple.
The base notes are sandalwood, white tea, teakwood and white musk.
It opens with sweet, fruity notes, which are very vibrant. I really thought that mandarin would be listed in the notes as I can definitely smell a muted orange note and the pomegranate is at the core of this fragrance from the beginning. I think I can detect the pineapple in this fragrance as well although it is rather subtle.
The floral notes are soft, feminine and pleasant. The florals combine with the watery scent and together they make a lovely scent.
A watery note would not be something I would usually be keen on in a fragrance, but it really adds something to this fragrance. I love it.
I can’t explain what gives this fragrance an expensive scent, but it does seem very well put together.
I liked this fragrance when I first tried it, but now I love it.
It is an eau de toilette, but I have found that it has impressive staying power and lasts around 6 hours on my skin. I also notice it on myself when I am wearing it so I am pleased with the projection.
I have only worn this fragrance during the day, but I think it is a great day to night fragrance and it would also suit night time wear.
I think it would suit younger women and mature women. I think it might seem a bit mature on younger teens though.
I have been using Gucci Envy Me for about 7 years, and I still love it today just as much as I did when I was 18! I chose it originally after a friend recommended it, and haven't worn another scent since. At around £30 for a 30ml bottle, it is quite pricy, but smells great and lasts all day.
It comes in a white cardboard box with silver finish, which looks sleek and stylish. The perfume bottle itself looks great too. Clear glass covered all over with the Gucci logo. I like the shape and the way it feels and looks expensive.
It has a floral scent, which is strong and can be a bit overpowering when you first put it on, but soon settles down and gives off a subtle scent that lasts the whole day.
There are a few different size options, and you can also buy gift sets which include shower gel and body lotion.
I am always looking for new perfumes and looking on eBay about a month ago, I spotted Gucci Envy Me for only £6 including postage so I just HAD to buy it for that price.
This perfume comes in a very elegant looking box which is white with the Gucci logo embossed all over the box in pink writing. Gucci Envy Me is written across the front of the box in silver writing and the 'Me' of the title is written in pink!
The bottle itself has the same colour scheme at the box, the bottle has the same pattern as the box, with the Gucci logo printed all over it in pink but the glass is frosted so you can still actually see how much perfume you have left which I find very useful. The lid for bottle is a white and has Gucci Envy Me written on in. The bottle is very tall and square shaped.
I had to do a bit of research to get the prices (seeing as I managed to get it at a bargain price!) and I found that this perfume costs £16.44 for a 30ml bottle and £23.30 for 50ml. These prices I found on the website www.chepsmells.com.
What Does It Smell Like?
This perfume is very light and would be perfect to wear on a nice summers day, the scent has a very fresh and clean smell to it (but not in a clinical way) which means that the perfume is very refreshing.
The ingredients of the perfume include top notes on pink peony, water jasmine and pink pepper which is then blended with lychee, pomegranate, pineapple, pink musk, seringa and white tea. I would descrive this perfume as quite fruity which would make sense considering half the ingredients.
Does The Smell Last?
To be honest, the perfume does not last as long as some of the others in my collection. Towards the end of the day, you can still smell it on yourself but it is quite faint compared to what it smells like when you first put it on. I think this is probably due to the fact that the perfume is designed to be light and refreshing. I always find that the heavier perfumes have better staying power but this perfume smells so nice that you can definitely forgive the fact that the smell doesn't last as long as some of the others on the market.
Gucci actually have a fairly wide range or perfumes. To name a few: Gucci Rush, Gucci Rush 2, Gucci Envy, Gucci Envy Me 2 and Gucci Woman.
I would definitely recommend this perfume. The smell is so light and refreshing and certainly makes you feel very feminine. This isn't a perfume for woman who don't like the sweet and girlie perfumes - don't get me wrong, this perfume is not sickly sweet but is definitely a more girlie one than some of my others.
The downside to this is that that smell doesn't last as long as I would like, meaning that I often have to use more and maybe reapply it if I am going on a night out. This perfume would be suitable to wear for any occasion.
Gucci - Envy me
This fragrance from Gucci is wonderful. Like most other Gucci scents this is grown up, and lasts well. It has a lovely floral scent to it - with jasmine, and peony - although personally I wouldn't have been able to place them specifically. There are fruity overtones, with lychee and there are undertones of musk. The scent does last well on my skin, and will last for around 8 hours or so before needing a reapplication.
The bottle is a slim rectangular shape with a pattern in pink painted on it, and you can see the perfume though it, a different shade of pink. It has a square silver lid that has the name of the perfume on it. The scent may not suit everyone's skin type (my sister was gutted) however it really is a wonderful scent.
I do personally feel that the scent is more of an evening scent - this is probably because I'm more used to fruity lighter scents during the day, it does however work for every season. The 50ml bottle is currently £49 at Boots - however if you shop around it can be found cheaper on-line. I do feel that it is well worth the money as I don't have to reapply this perfume often. (I recently wore it to a day-long wedding, and as I knew I wouldn't have time to shower between costume changes wore it all day, and it lasted really well).
Although it's not my favorite scent of all time I'd definitely recommend it...
Last year I received a 50 ml bottle of Gucci Envy Me eau de toilette from my sister in law. I like to try a lot of perfumes but I had never experienced this one before.
=== Bottle ===
It comes in a tall rectangular clear bottle with a pattern of pink squares all over it. The lid is a white square with the perfume name written on it. The bottle looks fairly attractive although it is not the most intricate or unusual design out there. I think the pink and white colours do fit the perfume as it is floral and girly. It is easy to see how much is left in the bottle.
=== Scent ===
I normally don't copy and paste any product descriptions, but I think the way Gucci has described this scent is very accurate:
Envy Me is "Joyful, vivacious and feminine, Gucci Envy Me has a vibrant floral heart with a sensual blend of lychee, pink peony, water jasmine, pomegranate and pink musk. This is the signature of a women who, at heart, is forever a Gucci girl."
It definitely does have a vibrant floral heart. The musk is detectable but not overpowering and I don't find that it is a powdery scent. The pomegranate gives it a bit more lightness and fruitiness. Despite that, for an eau de toilette it is certainly on the heavier side. When I first got it I assumed it was eau de parfum rather than eau de toilette because of the strength and lasting power. I was actually surprised when I noticed one day on the bottom of the bottle that it was an eau de toilette! For me this is a big plus, as it is a shame when a scent disappears within an hour or two and that is why I normally prefer to buy eau de parfum concentration when possible.
It is a feminine, girly scent and I could imagine it appealing to teens and older women alike. I think it is more of a day time scent as it seems sweet and innocent to me. Although I have said it is fairly strong, it is not the kind of scent which would offend anyone and not noxious and headachey at all, so I think it would always be appropriate to wear, whether for work or in a casual situation.
At Boots it costs £49 for 50 ml or £37 for 30 ml. This is more expensive than some Eau de Toilettes, but fairly in line with what I would expect to pay for an Eau de Parfum. As it has the lasting power of an Eau de Parfum anyway, I think this price is fair. It is a lovely scent.
I still have a little of this scent in my house. I got this a good while ago, and I tend to use a few Perfumes at the 1 time as there is a good few I like and always a few that I want to try.
As I mentioned in my previous review I do like the Gucci brand for Perfumes and Gucci Envy is 1 of my all time favourites. This one is alright, but not really my kind of scent. I got this in a 50ml bottle for £19.99 from an Online shop. This was on a special offer and had a few pounds knocked off it. After looking about online it seems that this can sell for upwards of £25 for the 50ml bottle in some places. Seems a bit expensive, but sure if I went to Semi Chem then the price may be a bit better.
The bottle for this is the same shape as the original Envy perfume which is a slim rectangular shape. It looks a bit fancier as the other scents just have clear glass but this has a pattern over the bottle. The pattern is little squares of medium pink but there is little squares which you see the light pink of the liquid as well. So this looks expensive enough I would say.
The notes in here are mostly heavier scents. They are Lily of the valley, magnolia, Jasmine, Violet, Sandalwood, Musk, Vetiver, Moss and Iris. I don't like Lily of the Valley, but you don't smell this in the same way in here, anyway although I can't pick out all the individual notes through here this smells like light florals and just the right amount of heavier Musky notes. I do like Fruity scents but no Fruit in here though.
This has a good lenght of time for lastability. After I spray this early in the morning say around 6:30am I can still smell this around 2pm. Although it is a lot fainter by this time it still is noticible. I spray 3 squirts on the area I want to scent and that provides a good strenght of scent.
This is a nice scent but just not exactly for me. It is perhaps just a touch too heavy for me, but due to the notes in here then I would have expect that anyway. A good choice from a good brand and if you like heavier scented Perfumes then I would recommend this one for you.
Gucci Envy Me is my personal favourite perfume, and I have never been without this since I started wearing it around five years ago. I think I received this as a gift the first time I ever got it, after smelling a tester in a shop and instantly liking it.
I do remember being quite shocked at how nice this was when I first tested it, as my sister used to wear the original Gucci Envy perfume but I was never a fan of it. As this was called Gucci Envy too, with the 'me' bit added on, I thought it must smell quite similar, but I don't believe it does at all.
After testing the perfume on the bit of card strip you get to test perfumes, I went and sprayed some on myself. The scent seemed to last all day as I could still smell it later that night. This made me want the perfume even more and so after dropping hints I got this as a Christmas present.
Ever since, I have been getting this for Christmas from people when I have been running low. If I didn't have any of this perfume left, I definitely would have to go out and by myself some as a treat! I do make it last a while as I don't use this perfume everyday or for work. I use cheaper perfumes for work and when I am not at work I like to alternate between the several perfumes I own. My Gucci Envy Me perfume is kept for nights out or special occasions.
The top notes of this perfume are: lily of the valley, jasmine and magnolia. Middle notes include iris, violet and sandalwood, and the base notes are: moss, musk and vetiver.
When smelling the bottle it reminds me of being on a night out, as that is when I mostly wear this perfume, but besides that, I can smell magnolia. I am not normally a huge fan of magnolia, it's nice but not one of my favourite scents, but after spraying it you can smell more of a very girly fruity fragrance. I wouldn't say this is for young girly girls at all though, it is more sophisticated as I like to put it, and a posh scent.
The bottle is very pretty and is clear with a light pink pattern running across it, which resembles the Gucci logo. The lid is white with silver and pink writing on. So when looking at the bottle you would think this would be a very girly scent, but if you like the opposite to that then I would not let the design of this bottle put you off, as I think this would be suitable for a wider age range.
This is available from many online shops that sell the big brands of perfumes, Debenhams and Boots. From Boots it costs £48 for 50ml and £33.70 for 50ml, so it is quite an expensive perfume, but it is to be expected by Gucci. I do believe the prices change often on the Amazon website but they do normally sell it for cheaper than Boots and Debenhams do. As I have very little of this perfume left, and Christmas is a long way away now, I might save up my Amazon vouchers and treat myself to a bottle of this, as it is my favourite!
When it comes to perfumes even though I try out a lot of them there are certain scents that stick with me and that I buy and use as often as I can. This 'Gucci Envy Me' was one I first smelt about 5 years ago when my mate bought herself a bottle and Ive been buying it for myself pretty much ever since - the scent just reminds me of being young and summer time - dont ask me why I suppose certain scents just stick with us. It also helps that it is a beautiful fragrance that I hope to continue wearing for many, many years.
Price: 30ml bottle - Around £35
Stockists: Amazon, Bodycare, Boots, Superdrug etc ...
Other Info: Also available in 50 & 100ml bottles for different prices. Described as a playful & seductive scent that women and men alike wont be able to resist - I love wearing this one as I get such nice comments on it all the time!

The bottle for this is typical Gucci style in my opinion - it is cute and girly but still remains really classy and understated - no brand but Gucci manages to do that with their perfume bottles oin my opinion. This comes in a see-through glass bottle that is pretty normal in shape and size as it is just straight up and down - but less is more! The bottle has the little Gucci G's patterned all over it in a bright pink and the same symbol on the bottle top - so you can instantly tell exactly what brand the perfume is without it being TOO obvious! The lid for this perfume is bright white in colour and simply pulls off like you would expect - underneath is the usual push down nozzle to release the perfume - the lid seems very secure and Ive never had a problem with it falling off or spraying out while Im carrying it around so the design is stunning and practical for me. Also this is very easily displayed as the glass is quite weighty so the bottle will stay put even if its knocked. A stunning, gorgeous and effective design. One of my favourites.

Im pretty rubbish when it comes to noticing the individual notes in a perfume so I did do some digging around the net to find this list of ingredients:
Top Notes: Peony, Pineapple, Pink Pepper, Peach, Jasmine & Mango.
Middle Notes: Musk, White Tea, Pomegranate, Jasmine & Rose.
Base Notes: Teak Wood, Sandalwood, Tonka Bean Musk & Tobacco.
I dont think that list will appeal to most people personally. If I had read that before I used this then Id assume I wouldnt like it but there is much more to it than people will expect. This is a perfume that envokes so many good memories for me which is one of the reasons I love it so much.
Now this perfume is a mostly floral offering which normally wouldnt be something Id like but in this case Im the total opposite. The Peony & Jasmime are certainly the strongest scents straight off the bat which means at first this is a very floral and light scent - that is until the fruiter notes kick in anyway. The Peach, Pineapple & Pomegranate come into play quite quickly and turn this into a much sweet and fruitier perfume - right up my alley! The White Tea scent is actually a quite strong one and it mixes really well with the floral and fruity notes and offers a different dimension to the fragrance overall - it makes it a very summery, light and fruity-floral scent which I reckon most people will really love - it has aspects that will appeal to everyone in my opinion regardless of age or personal preference on perfumes.
The base notes are pretty normal in my opinion as you ind them in most perfumes but they do help make the scent slightly heavier so it helps make it last much longer on your skin. Im not too sure why the Tobacco has been included in the scent list because I dont pick up on that note at all so dont worry this perfume doesnt smell like flowers and fags! LOL. Its gorgeous and will appeal to most people in my opinion.

Is pretty amazing Ive found. This lasts around 8 hours on my skin which is much more than average in my experience so you wont need to keep reapplying it all the time - which makes the price a little more justified!
I think this one would be suitable for most ages. Ive been wearing this since I was about 15 and Im almost 20 now and my opinions havent changed on it at all. My mom also loves this one so I know older women will also love this. This one will appeal to most people - although I do recommend trying it before you buy as everyones tastes are different.
Day or Night? Summer or Winter?
Thats a tough one because I think this is suitable for day or night and suitable for wearing regardless of season. This is a very versatile scent so its suitable for any weather, time or occassion - something I look for in every perfume personally.
- - - - - - - - -
I cannot recommend this highly enough although maybe Im a little biased because I adore it so much! I think this is one for everyone so most people will be overjoyed by this one - I highly recommend this regardless of age or wether or not you'd normally go for this type of scent.
Thanks For Reading.

I brought this perfume in the Boots sale a few years ago. It had been knocked down to half price alongside some of the other Gucci fragrances and upon smelling them all, this one was by far my favourite. It came in a gift set alongside a pink Envy Me body lotion which to be honest, I rarely use. It fast became my favourite perfume and still is (although Daisy by Marc Jacobs comes a close second!)
Now that I'm finally starting to run out of my beloved Gucci, I figured now was the right time to review it before it's all gone!.
I love the bottle. It's really quite simple but very stylish, expensive and girly looking.
The bottle is straight edged, creating an unusual long square shaped bottle and the Gucci logo is painted over the glass in a continuous light pink pattern. It's the same intricate pattern that you sometimes see printed on Gucci bags and wallets and this what makes it look expensive. The top is also square shaped and is white with the perfumes name written across in metallic writing.
As I've already stated, I brought this perfume in a gift set which came in a hard pink presentation box (which I've now lost!). However If you buy the perfume on it's own, it comes in a small box which is decorated with the same pattern which I've already described above.
There now seems to be a new limited edition Envy Me bottle avaliable. This is a light blue/green coloured bottle which I don't like very much because it looks more like a mans frangrance than a womens. I prefer my girly pink bottle.
Envy me is quite a light, sweet smelling perfume. When I spray it, I detect floral scents and I used to love wearing it on nights out, particularly in the summer. That's why I was surprised to find it has several fruity scents in it! (I really cant smell these but to be honest I'm not great at picking out individual perfume ingredients).
Amazon describes Envy Me's key ingredients as the following:
Top Notes: Peony, Pineapple, Pink Pepper, Cassia.
Heart Notes: White Tea, Pomegranate, Litchi.
Base Notes: Teak Wood, Sandalwood, Tonka Bean.
Overall, I just think it's a nice, light and sweet scent, perfect for young women in particular.
Who do I recommend this for?
When I was at university (2007 to 2010) all of my friends and flatmates had this perfume, and me too of course! I loved it so much that I brought if for my mother for her birthday one year but she really doesn't wear it much. In my opinion, this shows that Gucci is definitely a favourite among young adults and therefore this is the age group that I would recommend it for.
Does it last?
Considering the hefty pricetag of this perfume, I'd really expect the scent to last a big longer than it does!
However having said that, I do find that it tends to linger longer on clothes. I often spray this on myself and my clothes before leaving the house. I find it does last longer this way.
This perfume is expensive! In my opinion, it is worth the cost but I cant deny that it is off putting when you first see the cost.
The cheapest 100ml bottle I could find was: Ebay - £32.99
The cheapest 30ml bottle I could find was: thePerfumeSuperstore - £19.99 (and this was out of stock!)
In fact it's pretty much out of stock wherever I look.
My favourite perfume.
Lovely sweet and floral but a bit on the pricey side.
Gucci Envy Me is just one in a whole range of perfumes from Gucci, and is my particular favourite fragrance that they produce.
*****What does is look like?*****
Like with the majority of perfumes, you can pick which size bottle of the stuff you want. I've got the 30ml option, which measures in at roughly 12cm tall.
The bottle is a very straight edged, perfectly oblong shape, made of transparent glass, complete with an immaculate cube design lid made out of white plastic.
On said lid you will find the product title 'Gucci Envy Me', the former two words printed in a shiny metallic silver and the latter word done in a mild, easy on the eye pink, in a font which looks suspiciously like Century Gothic (though don't quote me on this!).
On all four sides of the glass part of the bottle is a continuously linked pattern, made up of numerous 'G's' (presumably for 'Gucci') connected by a series of square dots. Once more, the design is in the same pink as the word 'Me', and this matchy approach gives a sense of what I think is uniformity and stylishness to the bottle.
*****What does it smell like?*****
The notes for this perfume are as follows...
Top notes: peony, jasmine, pink peppers, litchi, pomegranate and pineapple
Heart notes: pink musk, seringa and white tea
Bases notes: sandalwood, teakwood and sensual musk
The above notes form to create this attractive 'Envy me' scent. The perfume has got a lovely sense of girliness to it; it's very sweet smelling with a floaty aroma.
It's also got great staying power, too - it leaves a lingering scent which is nice and subtle - not overbearing, but just enough of a fragrance for people around you to gently pick up on it and pay you compliments!
It might be a bit too girly for everyday wear, and I think it's the perfect scent for a night out, or furthermore I would happily wear it to any important occasion.
*****What does it cost?*****
It's a bit pricier than some perfumes, and a 30ml bottle of this will set you back £32.50 if you purchase it from The Perfume Shop.
This is a review of Envy Me Perfume by Gucci. I like quite a few of the Gucci fragrances but this one has a special place in my heart.
Envy me was introduced in 2004 as an alluringly, seductive, mysterious fragrance for women.
The perfume comes in a long square glass tube (can you have a square tube?), with the gucci logo frosted over the glass in a cute pink pattern. It has a white plastic lid that clips on the top, protecting the spray nozzle. It's not a very exciting bottle but it does the job. The bigger size bottle you have the longer the tube!
**What's in it?***
I love this perfume! It's a light blend of pink peony, pink pepper, and the ingredient that I seem to be drawn to with many of my fragrances; (water) jasmine. The refined blend of lychee, pomegranate, pink musk, white tea, are an attractive heart of the fragrance. The base of envy me is a sandalwood, musk and teakwood (hmm, I thought that's what they made desks out of!).
When I first bought a bottle of Envy Me in 2006 I had a really strange (but great) run of luck. I mean, my stock was really high! I won valuable competitions like a holiday to New York, got engaged (a surprise), got a fab new job that was a massive promotion, and won small things like the lottery, it just was a really high time in my life. I realise it can't always fall this way but lots of good things happened to me in a short space of time. Now when I want something badly I have a little spritz of this perfume in case it really is a magic potion. (Now I really do sound strange!)
Aside from the fact that I think it's a lucky fragrance, this is a perfume that just suits me. I get compliments on it when I wear it and it's nice and light so can be used everyday and for work etc. A nice romantic fragrance that holds many happy memories for me.
Gucci Envy Me is a fragrance that was released in 2004. I first encountered it when I was handed out free samples in a department store. This is when I fell in love with it. Even the sample bottles where quite generous in oblong glass vials with lids which acted as dabbers. I couldn't afford it myself so those samples went a long way! I never did fork out for the perfume myself but requested it as a Christmas present last year and my wish was granted! Needless to say I was very pleased.
The bottle is attractive emblazoned with the signature pink Gucci symbols. The bottle is very pretty but not as classic and elegant looking as other Gucci perfumes such as Gucci II and has a pink theme, which would suggest that it is aimed at younger women.
The scent is wonderfully fruity with dashes of musk and sandalwood and personally makes me feel more attractive as I equate it with luxury. It truly smells scrumptious and its sweet essence is balanced nicely with the musky tones. The fruity smell can be attributed to the top notes of the fragrance which include pink peppers, lychee, pomegranate and pineapple. These essences definitely make the scent delicious as do the alternate notes of seringa and white tea.
If you enjoy perfume which has both a fruity and musky scent, you are in for a treat. I would definitely recommend this perfume.
Gucci Envy Me is a must have fragrance for any woman! The scent is flowery and surprisingly long lasting for an eau de toilette! I only bought a 50ml bottle, but it has lasted for ages and I wear it a lot. Gucci Envy Me is a much nicer scent than the original Envy, which I did not like so do not discount Envy me if like me you did not like the original.
As you can see from the picture the bottle is gorgeous and like the perfume is of a very high quality. The bottle is clear glass with the gucci logo printed in baby pink, the printing raised to create a textured effect. The bottle top is white with Gucci Envy written in silver and Me in the same baby pink as the logo. The packaging that the bottle comes in is white with the same baby pink Gucci logo pattern. Envy Me is also a natural spray so easy to apply.
I love Gucci perfumes and Gucci Envy Me has to be my favourite.
The bottle: The bottle is clear with pink G's and checks, which I automatically LOVED since I love the colour pink. I think it looks very cute. The lid is white which says Gucci Envy Me on it, I think this is a variation on Gucci's Envy (the green one). So the bottle isn't very sophisticated, however it will appeal to females obviously.
The scent: I love the scent, I think its floral and really girly. I also got the bath bomb set in 2005 and 4 years later I still havn't used the last one and things like that go within 5 minutes with me usually! I'm saving it for a special occasion. Its gorgeous as a day time perfume but also sexy as a night time, I even was on a train the other day started sniffing and said to my boyfriend... SOMEBODIES GOT MY FAVOURITE PERFUME ON! And it was Envy Me.
The price: As with all perfumes, especially Gucci, it is quite expensive however it does vary in price and size. A 100ml bottle can go up for £55 so obviously the smaller the bottle the cheaper it is. I feel it is worth it though!
I overall think this perfume is a winner, it has been a firm favourite of mine for about 4 years since my first boyfriend bought it for me, ahhh how sweet! Even though he didn't last, my love for this perfume certainly did! How cheesy!
I'm a bit of an addict when it comes to Gucci perfumes. In general I like Gucci perfumes and Gucci features heavily in my perfume collection. Some of my favourite perfumes are Gucci... unfortunately Gucci Envy Me certainly isn't one of those.
The perfume comes in a white box with a pink pattern which resembles a check pattern. The Gucci logo is on the front of the box. The packaging is quite plain and simple compared to some perfume bottles.
The bottle is a clear bottle with the same pink check pattern on the bottle as the box. The lid is white with the Gucci Envy Me logo written on it.
The price of the perfume varies the RRP for a 30ml bottle is £29.00; however I have seen a 30ml bottle being sold for £18.00 online.
The description of the perfume from Gucci is :
"This seductive scent has top notes of pink peony, water jasmine and pink pepper blended intimately with a heart that combines lychee, pomegranate, pineapple, pink musk, seringa and white tea."
The smell isn't unpleasant but I don't actually find it pleasant either. When I wear it I find it too sweet and sickly when I smell it on myself.
When I smell the fragrance on someone else I find that it smells too floral and almost like a floral room spray and like roses. Some people may like this but I like sweet fresh type perfumes rather than being over powered with a flowery smell.
This perfume goes on very strong when it is sprayed. However I found after about 3 hours of wearing the smell has warn off and needs another spray. I don't really like re spraying perfume as I like my perfume to smell light rather than it being over powering but with this perfume it is one of the only perfumes that I own which does require another spray.
I did notice that occasionally when I sprayed this perfume onto my neck I came up in a red rash which was extremely itchy. After speaking to a friend about this she had also encountered some discomfort so I would advise if you do have sensitive skin beware when you first try out this product.
I was bought this perfume by a friend as a present. I wear the perfume but it's definitely not one of my favourites and I will not be replacing it once the bottle has gone. It's wearable but not really my cup of tea it's almost too floral and not as fresh as I like. The perfumes I usually wear are girly but fresh for example DKNY woman, Vera Wang Princess and Gucci II compared to those perfumes Gucci Envy just smells too flowery and sweet for my liking.
This seductive scent has top notes of pink peony, water jasmine and pink pepper blended intimately with a heart that combines lychee, pomegranate, pineapple, pink musk, seringa and white tea.
