I got this as a present to myself as I wanted something a bit different from the fragrances I normally wear and I'm so pleased I did.
This is a long lasting perfume with a lovely warm tone, while managing to be quite floral too, which honestly I have never experienced in a smell before, most are normally light and flowery or warm and spicy. The smell still manages to be fresh and clean.
I wore this on a trip out with my family and usually carry my bottle to reapply part way through the day but it lasted until well after we got home.
I think this might be my new favourite to wear.
The only down side to this is the bottle. It's a very feminine fragrance and the bottle seems to be a bit too chunky and masculine for what is inside. A casual browser might skip this one because of the initial appearance.
Bought this as treat with my Christmas money. It doesn't disappoint. I love the bottle and the smell is adorable and is my daring little number. It has a sweet, musky and fruity smell. Don't be put off with this give it a go and see what you think as you won't be disappointed. Loads of people have commented on this scent and asked what I was wearing!
I was recently browsing a local department store and was offered a free sample of Gucci Guilty Black. I love getting perfume freebies and getting the chance to try them before deciding on buying, it can save a lot of money in the long run.
My sample was just a little bottle but the actual packaging for this perfume is in my opinion rather masculine, it is sold in a black bottle with a red Gucci logo and Gucci Guilty written in silver lettering, The whole thing looks like an aftershave bottle and slightly "superhero" to me.
The official Gucci description of the is:-
"Indulge in your burning desire"
The notes of Gucci Guilty Black are:-
Top Notes -- Red fruits and Pink Pepper
Middle Notes -- Raspberry, Peach, Lilac, Lilly and Violet
Base notes -- Patchouli and Amber.
When I first sprayed Guilty Black there was no nasty chemical smell that you get sometimes with certain fragrances, the perfume smelt fruity and quite fresh I wasn't really sure it was going to be my thing. I prefer floral fragrances but as the fragrance developed I could smell the flowery elements coming through strongly. The lilac, lilly and violet were sweet warm and heady. The smell was strong but in no way over powering. By the time all the notes had developed I was left with a gorgeous fragrance that was warm and heady with just the right amount of sweetness.
I first used my Guilty Black when I attended a friends wedding I had hoped it would last all day with maybe a little top up in the evening, I was slightly disappointed however as I found the fragrance wasn't quite as long lasting as I thought it would be. By early afternoon it had virtually faded away.
I would personally say this was a fragrance for either a daytime occasion or an evening out, I wouldn't wear this to work in my opinion its not suitable for an office.
Gucci Guilty Black is available from a lot of high street shops as well as online. In Debenhams a 30ml bottle will cost you £40.00 and a 50ml bottle is £53.00.
Online at fragrance direct you will pay £39.50 for 30ml's and 50ml's costs £52.50 so after p&p there's nothing really in it.
If you like strong floral heady fragrances then this may well be one for you, I really liked it but I just wish it had lasted a little longer however this wont stop me putting it on my Christmas list.
I already own and love the Guilty fragrance by Guilty and have used nearly the whole bottle in a very short space of time. I was really hoping that the birthday fairy might be planning on delivering a new bottle for me on my birthday but instead I unwrapped the Guilty Black fragrance by Gucci...
About the fragrance
The fragrance is supposed to be magnificent alone but even better if your other half is wearing the male version as they have been created to work together. The aroma is supposed to be make you shameless and unpredictable, and ready for explosive encounters. It has been designed for those who are fearless, attracted to danger, break rules and live life to the fullest. While I wouldn't really class myself as one of those people, I liked the original so was excited about trying this one.
The perfume is described as being oriental and floral. At the heart of the fragrance is fruity raspberry and violet and it has tops notes of red fruits and pink pepper. At the base are the warm notes of amber and patchouli. The basis of the fragrance is the same as the original other than the heart notes which has been changed from the sweetness of peach to the sharper notes of the raspberry.
Packaging and Price
The bottle is shaped in exactly the same way as the original Guilty. It is a rectangle shape with curved edges except this bottle is black in colour instead of gold. It has a smooth finish and Gucci Guilty is written on the front. In the centre of the bottle the two G letters have been cut out to reveal the colour red and it is the fragrance inside which gives it the red colour. When the lid is removed, you can see the black dispenser inside and you push down on it in order to release the perfume.
I have the 30ml bottle which will cost you around £30. It is also available in the larger 50ml and 75ml bottles although these obviously cost more. The fragrance can be purchased from perfume stores, stores such as Boots and Debenhams and also from a range of online websites.
I have to say that I don't like the packaging of this Guilty Black in comparison to the original bottle. The black bottle looks a lot like classy and expensive than the original gold colour and it doesn't actually look very feminine at all. A pink coloured liquid may have made this dark but feminine instead of looking like a bottle suitable for halloween. The product comes out as a good mist which doesn't soak you and that spreads the aroma evenly across the skin. You don't need to use much of the fragrance as it is quite a heavy one. It smells similar to the original but this one is a lot sweeter which I really love.
If you don't like sweet aromas then you really won't like this fragrance. It is described as being oriental floral but it doesn't really smell all that floral to me. It is definitely fruity and it has a lovely sweetness to it but it still has a peppery kick as well and a certain warmth. It is sexy and feminine. I think it's much better suited to the night time but it could be worn in the day if you wear it lightly. The fragrance has a long lasting aroma which can still be detected hours after application. I can also smell it on my coat the next day. The product is gentle on my skin and it hasn't caused me any irritations.
All in all, I really liked the original but I still like this one too. It is fruity and sweet but with a sexy edge to it which makes it perfect for an evening out. The fragrance has long lasting results and it is evident without getting sickly or tiresome. I love this fragrance and I would happily get another bottle of this once mine has all gone.
My sister gave me this perfume when she was having a de-clutter and getting rid of loads of things. I was surprised to find that it's actually a new release! Score! The one I have is the 30ml bottle which costs £40 in Boots.
I absolutely love the bottle of this perfume! It's like the picture above but because mine is a smaller version it is just not as tall as the one in the picture. The picture doesn't really do the bottle justice in my opinion, as you can't really see the shine it has or the red glass that goes all around the sides of the bottle. It looks great as the light catches the red glass and it looks like it's glowing. I think it's a really modern, eye-catching design, although perhaps more masculine than a lot of women would like.
The scent has top notes of red fruits and pink pepper, heart notes of raspberry, peach, lilac and violet, and base notes of patchouli and amber.
I find the scent starts off really fresh and fruity with a hint of spice from the pepper and the top notes last really well which is great for me as I love them. It does get a lot denser when the heart notes start to come through, and becomes more of a rich fruity floral, but it still retains that initial freshness. The base notes don't really come through until the rest of the perfume has worn off which I'm glad of as I find patchouli a bit strong and heady for my tastes. It leaves a deep musky floral scent behind.
As I've already said I absolutely love this scent, I think it's the best thing I've smelt in a long time and unlike most scents I come across it seems unique to me. I don't think there is any age group that this wouldn't suit and it could be equally good for day or night time wear. It is pretty expensive though so I personally like to keep it for nights out and special occasions. I always get compliments on it when I wear it from men and women alike!
Overall I think this is a great perfume and it has become my new favourite scent. It lasts all day with no need to reapply which is definitely a must from something so expensive! I'll definitely be repurchasing this, probably in a much bigger size!

The mood is youthful audacity / Middle notes: / The heart combines the lusciousness of raspberry and peach with a heady femininity of lilac and violet. here is tenderness amid the bravura / Base Notes: / The patchouli that is the hallmark of Gucci fragrances here generates a sense of addictive craving, while the voluptuousness of amber suggests deep femininity.
