Advantages: Spicy unique smell

My best friend came to my house one day and immediately I noticed something different about her. No she hadn't had her hair cut or new glasses it was a new perfume and WOW it smelt lovely. A nice clean warm smelling perfume, different to what I usually would go for but all the same a lovely smell. I had to copy her and get myself some.


***Packaging ***
The packaging to Gucci Rush is not so impressive, so it's a good job the actual fragrance is. The packaging is a red box about 8cm long, 5cm high and a depth of around 1cm. The box packaging isn't see through so it's difficult to gauge how much perfume you have left, you have to really guess based upon how much liquid there feels to be inside.

Gucci Rush is written down the side of the red box. Overall very plain packaging.

I'm not a fan of the packaging as its so plasticy and not the most aesthetically pleasing. The packaging is durable so if you keep the perfume in your bag and drop it you don't risk smashing the perfume bottle.


***Price***
The price of the perfume varies again on where you shop. I bought 50ml in Boots for £32.00. The RRP on a 30ml bottle is £29.00 and for 50ml is £39.00. Shopping around on the Internet will get you the best deal as with most things.

The price is pretty reasonable and competitive with similar products on the market or from other perfume brands such as Armani.


***Scent ***
The official description of the perfume is :

"Gucci Rush is a contemporary spicy fragrance for women and this one is all about sex. We kid you not. Spicy and exotic, even the bottle looks raunchy for heaven's sake. Forget ladylike, this one's for flashy exhibitionists looking for a crazy time. Squirt at your peril!"

The perfume does smell very spicy and has a fruity smell when it goes on. It leaves a clean fruity smell which reminded me of a peach type smell. Its more musky than some other perfumes but not at all unpleasant. I love this perfume smell and it reminds me of holidays and warmth.

The perfume only requires 2 squirts and does goes on quite strong. It does smell very overpowering and spicy at first but the smell dies down after about 10 minutes which leaves a clean, spicy smell with a fruity twist. This does not need to be reapplied during the day and if I spray this at 8am it still can still be smelt at 8pm.


***Summary ***
This is totally different to the perfumes I usually go for its less girly sweet and flowery but nonetheless has a lovely warm, clean and spicy smell that is long lasting. It's a reasonably priced perfume, the packaging isn't the greatest but it's a lovely smelling strong perfume that is noticeable without being over powering. A great perfume which I would recommend, especially for a special event or night out.
