Strong daytime perfume- Gucci (Gucci: Gucci Rush, Eau de Toilette)

Advantages: a box will last a long time as it is strong

Disadvantages: strong smell

You will pay the standard perfume pirce of around £35 for 50ml and £50 for 75ml of the Eau De Toilette spray of Gucci Rush.

I found out about this product after a girl I used to write to in Europe sent me a little glass vial of it (those great glass testers you used to get). I decided to put some on one day and my boyfriend at the time gave me a hug and started sniffing around my neck going "ooh what's that.. that smells nice". So I got him to buy me the bottle (box) if he liked it that much (nice logic I figured...) !

It was introduced in 1999 so it has been around for a while now and is still as exensive at it was (probably due to the fact it's by Gucci). There is also a Gucci Rush 2 out that I have not tried.

I find I hardly wear this now as it is quite a strong scent. It is really perfumed and the box (the bottle/ box is weird as it is just a plastic red box and the spray bit is half way down one side) dispenses large sprays so you need to try to spray yourself from a little distance or spray it and let it dry a bit before you see anyone or you may overpower them with your perfume!.

I don't go for Gucci things in general as it has a big of a WAG reputation now, and this box is at the back of my perfume shelf. The perfume shop describes this perfume as "all about sex, spicy and erotic". I would disagree. It is more a perfume for a day in town shopping. I find it isn't dark and musky enough to be worn for a night out (I love Hugo Boss Deep Red).

The Gucci website describes this as a "chypre fruity fragrance. top note of gardenia. heart note of vanilla. base note of patchouli"- i had to use their description as I find it hard to describe a smell- their words are better as they know what goes into it!

I would say it will appeal to the 18-30 age bracket and it the sort of thing for the daytime.

Summary: Daytime scent even if you don't really go for the Gucci thing,,,
