A long-lasting scent that reminds me of my childhood, with parma violets!

This was yet another perfume that my lovely older sister gave me when she was having a clear out of all her beauty stuff. I'd never heard of it before so I was really eager to try it out. A 30ml bottle of this scent will set you back £35.50 in Boots.

The bottle is really pretty and to be honest you can't really tell properly how it looks from the above photo, it looks much nicer in reality. It is, as you should be able to see form the photo, made up of 3 upside-down dome shaped bits of glass. The bottom dome is what contains the perfume, and the top 2 make up the lid. When you look at it from above it looks kind of like a flower and it looks great. The perfume is a lovely pale pink which gives it a really pretty look to it. I think it also looks really high quality and elegant.

The scent is made up of top notes of violet, orange blossom and rose, heart notes of red berries, lemon and bergamot, and base notes of iris and tonka bean.

I'll be completely honest, this is not a sophisticated scent by any means. It's very one-dimensional and really the only note that comes through is the violet, which is very sweet and powdery. Personally I love this as it reminds me of parma violet sweets which I love, but I think for many people it would definitely be too sweet and immature. I was really surprised to read that there are fresh and green notes in there, like the lemon and bergamot, as none of this comes through for me, it is simply overpowered by the sugary violet.

The scent lasts really well, if I spray it in the morning, just a couple of sprays, I can still smell it when I go to bed at night, and if I spray it on my clothes I can smell it on them for at least a week! It's definitely high quality even though it's probably aimed only at the very young and unsophisticated.

I'd say this was probably best as a day time fragrance, as though the violet is quite strong it is still quite a light scent that might not stand up to evening wear. I wouldn't recommend it to the older lady unless you really want to smell like you've raided your teenage daughter's perfume collection.

All in all I do really like this scent but it's a definite love it or hate it thing due to it's super sweet nature.

This is my all time favourite perfume and I shall continue buying it for as long as they make it!

Guerlain are one of the oldest French perfume houses, founded in 1828. They are very proud of their heritage and you can tell it is something they continue to live by. You can actually take a guided tour of the House of Guerlain in Levaillos-Perret, which I would absolutely love to visit one day, but that's by the by.

Back onto the review. I first smelt Insolence when there was a sample stuck to a page of a magazine about 6 years ago, and I absolutely fell in love with it. I've had a bottle ever since.

It was the first "proper" perfume I ever bought, I remember using my holiday money to buy it at the tender age of 15 in the Isle of Wight (exotic!). I bought the 30ml bottle of the EDT, which would have lasted me for ages if I didn't think back then that if I coul no longer smell a perfume on me nobody else could. You can also buy it in a 50ml bottle and also the EDP (more on that later).

The perfume comes in a lilacy silver box with the name of the perfume and company printed on it. The box is of a good wuality and wrapped in cellophane as is the norm with perfumes. The bottle itself is absolutely beautiful; it's a half sphere in clear glass, which holds the light pink liquid. The lid is an atomiser, with the pretty Guerlain "G" embossed on top of it. The lid itself is two more half spheres, a smaller one kind of in a bigger one (this is so hard to explain, just look at a picture!). The bottle looks lovely on a dressing table, but I always regret carrying it around in my bag because the lid is an odd shape so falls off, and then my whole bag ends up smelling of this, which isn't in itself a bad thing, but I have had a horrible experience in the past where I was carrying a sachet of porridge in my bag, and it had managed to seep through, which I didn't realise unitl I was eating a bowl of violet and golden syrup flavour oats. Not nice.

When you first smell this it smells mainly of violets in my opinion, and is quite a sweet smell. As the topnote dies down, however, it develops into a gorgeous, multi-faceted fragrance. It's still very fresh and very very floral, but the vanilla in it warms it up slightly and makes it more subtle. It is a strong fragrance, and not suited to everyone. I have only known one person other than myself to use this, and she hated it after two weeks and gave it to me. It's probably not worth even trying if you don't like heavily floral scents. It doesn't sound it, but this is a very, very distinctive perfume; I've never smelt anything quite like it.

As I said, this doesn't last for a hugely long time on me as far as I'm aware, but when I've asked people if they can still smell it on my skin after a few hours of wear they've said that they can, so it's probably just me getting used to it.
Prices vary from £30-£60 depending on bottle size and where you buy it from, although I have in the past picked up a gift box from Boots around Christmas which contains the 30ml EDT and a bottle of moisturiser for around £30 which is a bargain, and then £15 in the January sales, so keep an eye out!

The EDP is quite different, it's a lot stronger and very potent, whenever I spray it in the office my colleagues shout at me and make me open a window. Once on though, it does smell very similar.

        STUNNING, LOVE IT!

This fragrance by Guerlain is Fruity but soft. Playful, uplifting, warm & deep. Opens with sweet raspberry notes, lemon-cake-like citrusy trace. Continues with almond blossom notes, sweet & pure jasmine, patchouli. Also with notes of tonka beans, powdery vanilla.

It sounds like a overpowering combination but I can assure you that is not the case with this fragrance.

I first smelt this fragrance on someone I worked with, the scent was absolutely beautiful. Everytime this lady walked past me I could smell it as strongly as before and I fell in love....It is stunning, strong but not too much, it is so feminine young and sexy - deep but not too rich!

I went to buy the fragrance being told by the shop assistant it was £74 for a 100ml bottle. I have since found it online for £35 - 50ml and £49 - 100ml.

This perfume is absolutely stunning and will now remain a firm favourite on my fragrance list. Everyone always compliments me when wearing this fragrance and without a doubt this fragrance lasts longest on my skin and clothes compared to other designer perfumes.

I absolutely love this fragrance and I am sure it will be loved by all ages!

        one of my Mum

Guerlain is a premium beauty brand which was founded in 1828 by Jean Francoise Pascal Guerlain. The French brand brings innovative beauty products from skincare, makeup and fragrance to the market.

        ***Guerlain Fragrances***

Guerlain currently offer over 20 different fragrances for women. Some of them are readily available whilst others are rare and difficult to locate. The more popular scents include Samsara, Idylle and Shamilar.

        ***Insolence***

Insolence is described as being "a spark in the eye, an intrepid smile that knows no fear and fears no one, an amused silence". This sparkling fragrance is available in an eau de toilette, eau de parfum, pure perfume, shower gel and a body lotion for layering on the scent.

        ***Design***

The bottle was designed by a sculptor named Serge Mansau. It offers a flat base and glass moulded into half spheres. There is two parts..the base and the lid. The lid is made up of 2 half spheres and clicks smoothly into place allowing the bottle to sit flat and elegantly. The perfume inside is tinted pink and reflects beautiful when captured by light.

        ***Scent***

This fruity floral scent is build on different fragrance notes which develop in stages. The information on the actual fragrance notes of Insolence is limited. We are told that we will experience red fruits with luminous iris. It then pumps up the intensity to bring out a high voltage violet.

        ***Availability and Price***

Insolence EDT is available online from various sites and in sizes 5ml, 30ml, 50ml and 100ml. The following prices are current as of today :

        www.amazon.co.uk - £11.25 (5ml) £28.95 (30ml) £34.40 (50ml) £72.00 (100ml)
        www.escentual.com - £35.50 (30ml) £49.50 (50ml) £72.50 (100ml)

        ***My Thoughts***

I have owned a few Guerlain perfumes now. I wouldn't say they are my favourites as I find Guerlain perfumes quite old fashioned but I like to try them anway. My bottle of Insolence was part of a fragrance gift set including other miniature bottles. It holds 5ml and is a dab bottle.

The bottle itself is certainly worth commenting on. Its unusual style once enticed me in Boots and I wish I had sampled it at the time. The pink reflections through the bottle are so pretty and this gives a modern twist to my perceptions of Guerlain being old fashioned!

        ***Insolence Becomes Real***

Opening the little bottle, I am greeted with a bold and smoothly formed scent. Splashing a bit onto my wrist and neck, the perfume feels damp and the scent intensifies. From the start, I wasn't taken by Insolence. Despite being an EDT its very heavy and verging on headachy! I like to give the benefit of the doubt but I cannot say my impressions changed and I'd hate to find out how strong the EDP is.

I expected this to be feminine and enticing but what all isn't as it seems. Insolence lacks the softness needed to come across as feminine. Its heady opening comes across as harsh and unappealing to me personally. It is undoubtedly a floral based scent. No red fruits are detected as it makes an entrance..nothing to sweeten or lighten the overall scent. To me, it is all violet but at different levels and something different at each stage.

The opening violet as I said is harsh. Violet is usual a pleasant floral addition to most scent combinations but on its own, it lacks anything special..and makes me feel rather queasy. Thankfully it settles down to reveal more violet but in a different form. The heart offers a lighter variation of the violet wrapped in hints of softness which is more appealing but still not enough to covert me into a lover of all things floral base!

The heart appears to linger around my body but I can't seem to smell it when I get up close to my wrist which is weird. 2-3hours after applying Insolence, the violet changes again. I am quite fond of the base offered here. The violet transforms to a typical violet..the way it would come across in any other scent. Soft, slightly sweet and incased in a soft, powdery coating, it is gentle and sits close to the skin giving off little hints as it wears on. Insolence disappears 6hrs after application but lingers on scarves and jackets.

        ***Suitability and Conclusion***

Insolence is heavily floral so unless you are into that sort of thing. Its strength would suit day time use or evening but hot weather would make this worse. Personally, Insolence isn't my type of scent. Its heavily floral nature doesn't sit well with me. The bottle hasn't gone to waste though..my Mum who is in her 50s has taken it and it smells quite pleasant whilst she is wearing it..different skin and oils I suppose.

The bottle is stunning, the concept is a good one but its just a bit one dimensional for me and not incredibly appealing. It is priced quite highly and the lasting power is reflected in this. I recommend it if you like violets and strong scents but I won't be wearing it again.

        Thanks for reading x

The First Guerlain Perfume Ive Tried.

Even though I have so many perfumes already just before Christmas my mom gave me about 6 or 7 little sample sized bottles that she'd got as part of an offer in Boots, and oddly they were all perfumes that Id never tried before. As Id never used any of them before I was like a kid in a sweet shop deciding which one to use first and this one just happened to catch my eye 'Guerlain: Insolence EDT' - Id seen this one on adverts and though how cute the bottle looked but had never tried it before so I started to straight away and I think Ive been pleasantly surprised - I have to say I didnt expect it to be as nice as it is!

          Useful Information:
Price: 50ml bottle - Aorund £35 - So not the cheapest perfume ever I have to admit.
          Stockists: Boots, Superdrug & Amazon.
Other Info: Launched in 2006 & desrcibed as ' a new take on the voilet perfume'.

          The Bottle:
In my opinion the bottle for this perfume is simply stunning - which is why it is so odd that I havent tried this perfume before now as it is usually the bottle that first attracts me to a fragrance. The bottle is a half sphere shape at the bottom which is a baby pink in colour and has a similar shaped, two layered stopper at the top which makes the bottle look very much like a rose or similar flower - very feminine in my opinion. Although the bottom of the bottle is in a slightly curved shape the bottom is totally flat so it can be easily displayed and transported. As I only have the very small sample sized bottle mine doesnt have a push down nozzle to release the scent but I can only assume the larger bottle sizes have got one so I cant complain too much. A stunning and classic bottle in my opinion - I love it anyway.

          The Scent:

Tope Notes: Raspberry, Bergamot & Lemon.
Middle Notes: Violet, Orange Blossom & Rose.
Base Notes: Sandalwood, Tonka Bean & Musk.

With that list of ingredients Id assume that this scent is more fruity than anything else as those appear to be the most dominant notes but this is much more a sweet, floral offering than anything else.

The top notes are all noticable right away but only for a few seconds because the middles notes - particularly the Rose & even more so the Violet come in much stronger and sort of take over the top notes. The Violet is certainly the strongest scent out of the whole lot and the one most people will be able to smell immediately - rather than it been a flowery scent though it reminds me of those Parma Violet sweets more than anything else which does tend to make the perfume smell slightly more synthetic than I was hoping. This scent is a lot like Lush's Tuca Tuca and even though it is a little bit nicer than the Lush version I dont think Id go out and buy a massive bottle of this for myself.

The bottom notes of Tonka Bean & Musk do start to come through towards the end but they dont seme to make this scent much heavier overall -it remains floral and sweet throughout. Its a pretty grown-up kind of fragrance I think and it might be slightly TOO grown-up for me. Its nice but maybe not quite nice enough.

          Other Comments:

          Staying Power:
The staying power for this one Ive found its pretty good as it tends to last around 6 hours on my skin which is better than the average in my experience. I dont feel I need to re-apply it all the time so even my little bottle will last ages I reckon.

          Age?
For once Im actually stumped about what ages group I think would like this the most. I literally have no idea - I think if you like this perfume it would suit any age - maybe slightly older women a bit more though. Late 20's & upwards Id guess.

Day Or Night? Summer Or Winter?
I think this perfume would be suitable for both day and night wear and for wearing at any time of the year - so its probably one of the most versatile perfumes Ive ever used as its perfect for any occasion or time.

I recommend but definitely try before you buy as it's not everyone's cuppa tea!

          Thanks For Reading.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

            A great, unique perfume

Like many of the perfumes I own, I received Guerlain Insolence as part of a miniature gift set. I've used it less than some of the other miniatures in the collection - not because I don't like it, but because unlike the other miniatures, which slip easily into a handbag for a night out or a toilet bag for travel, this perfume is difficult to transport because of its bottle. The bottle is round, clear and attractive, and it is easy to see the pale pink perfume inside, but I've always been paranoid about the top coming off and the perfume spilling everywhere! The miniature bottle lacks the detail of the original, but looking at the larger version it seems like a modern interpretation of a flower.

"Extraverted and daring Guerlain Insolence combines Violet with a hint of Orange blossom and Rose. Fruity red Berries, Lemon and Bergamot are introduced in the heart notes while sensual Iris and Tonka Bean resins finish the scent. The result is young, daring and radiantly feminine."

Guerlain Insolence is described as a fruity, floral fragrance, a 'new interpretation of violet'. This is interesting as it explains why the perfume smells so much like sweets! I definitely prefer it to the other violet perfume I can think of, Lush's Tuca Tuca (although the latter is cheaper) - this scent seems to have more depth, though this is reflected in the higher price. There are hints of floral scents in the perfume too, which temper the sweetness of the violet. It lasts a good few hours too - all night when I go out.

I really love this perfume and tend to wear it on a night out. It's sweet but not sickly and I think it would especially suit younger women.

Guerlain Insolence costs £32.50 for 30ml according to the Boots website, but is widely available at perfume retailers.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

Great fragrance which is unusual and refreshing

This is another one of my dinky bargain 5ml minatures that I picked up in the Boots sale after Christmas.

The bottle is so sweet - the perfume is contained within a semi-sphere and is a fab rosy pink colour - I love it when perfumes are delicately coloured - it just shows that an extra little bit of thought has been taken when designing and makes it feel even more of a treat.

The first impression of this perfume is I admit rather odd - Guerlain call it surprising, which is probably a better way to describe it - but it just smells a bit of a mismatch and quite a sharp scent.

When applied to my skin and warmed up a bit the scent develops and more of a floral smell emerges - not a sweet floral smell you understand, but quite a sharp smell.

Now if this description seems all a bit woolly then that is due to the fact that I have spent all day being frustrated that I can't work out what the smell reminds me of. I like it don't get me wrong - it is a real unusual scent, but still one that makes me feel elegant and feminine.

It was only when I started to do a bit of research this evening and read about the notes of the fragrance that I worked out what the smell reminded me of - PARMA VIOLETS!!!!! The strongest note of this perfume by far is the violet smell, but Guerlain have been really clever and it doesn't smell in any way grannyish - but have put a twist on it to make it modern and different.

The full notes of the fragrance are as follows:

Top notes: violet, orange blossom, rose
Heart notes: red berries, lemon and bergamot
Base notes: Iris and tonka bean resins

This perfume has really grown on me, especially now I have worked out what the smell reminds me of! It is a far cry from my usual full on floral fragrances, but I love it - it is just that little bit different to be ever so slightly intriguing. You could easily wear this as a day or evening fragrance.

You can pick up 30ml for under £30 on Amazon - give it a try if you want something a little bit different.

Soo sweet that it gives me a toothache

I first came across Guerlain Insolence in a magazine advert, a few years ago. Insolence comes in a pink liquid and in an upside down dome-shaped glass bottle. When I first brought Insolence I absolutely love it. People would always ask what perfume I was wearing and compliment it. After (quickly) getting through my first bottle I instantly brought another. I had to hide it from my mum to stop her from using it. In the end I brought her her own bottle (30ml for £32.50) for mothers day.

I brought myself a eau de toilette in 100ml bottle when it was in the sale, and from then on I fell out of love with Insolence, so much that I cannot stand it anymore. I'd hardly even used the 100ml bottle. Now I find it much too sweet, very off-putting and very young (I'm 28). Insolence has notes of violet, red berries and rose. I can always recognise it straightaway on others, and to me that is not such a good thing.

Guerlain's fragrance Insolence created by Maurice Roucel is a beautifully delicate perfume that includes notes of violet, red berries, rose, orange blossom, Iris & Tonka bean resins. I paid £30 or so for a 30ml bottle from boots. The container itself is very pretty, it's wider than it is tall making it very steady so it won't knock over or spill.

The deliciously sweet scented top notes of the violet and red berries spiral gently with the undertones of Iris and Tonka bean, the transfiguration of violet in this modern and feminine fragrance is happily surprising. The olfactive experience is very much unpredictable and refreshing with the fruity floral scent very much representing all that's feminine.

The alluring heart notes of the orange blossom and rose add extra depth and complexity to the perfume along with the base notes of iris, Tonka bean & the recurrent violet and red berries. It's a wonderful day perfume because of its radiant and sensual combination that lasts all day long!

Everything about the arrangement of this perfume is irresistible, the sandalwood and vanilla have a great calming effect hidden in the background while the fruity floral notes gently refresh the senses.

It's a gorgeous fragrance more suitable for the younger user and a brilliant gift for any lucky female!

A scent to buy for the woman who rocks your world

Having bought a bottle of this for an amazing bargain price of just £10 when the Boots perfume counter were having a clear out, I can now say its a firm favorite for me.

The product I bought was a slightly shimmering version of the original scent, I think it may have been a christmas edition, but the fragrance within the bottle was exactly the same. With the fragrance being full of tiny shimmery particles, I thought it made it look really rather special.

                **********************************************************
I do like the way the product is presented, as its very glamorous and appealing to the eye. It comes in a silver etched box which looks amazingly different. The sculptor Serge Mansau, created the fab bottle, which dips at one side, giving it a sensual naughtiness, but in a very sleek way.

It reflects light as the under side has a very slight silver tinge to it, making all the pretty shimmer particles glisten and glow. It also has the Guerlain design on the clear cap and the name of the perfume runs 'Insolently' around the edge in a silver circle.

                **********************************************************
I found the shape of the bottle was easy to use with a handy pump spray action which makes it both simple and quick to spritz it on. The metallic pale blush pink of the scent is lovely. But don't be fooled into thinking this is a fragrance for girly girls! Insolence has a sultry, sensual side to it, that lingers on warm skin and carries on giving off a confident feminine scent, for several hours without the need to re apply.

This is a scent to buy for the one who rocks your world lads, for the confident woman who wants something more than many other scents have to give.

                *********************************************************
So many people have commented on how lush this smells, that having used the first bottle some time ago, I am almost loathe to open the other one, as I will be so very tempted to wear it all the time. Still whilst writing this I am seriously thinking of doing so.

I think that Insolence has an almost daring sensuality. Although it is a floral scent which combines red fruit and iris, its the inclusion of striking violet, that surprisingly takes it to a whole new level. Then there are citrusy bergamot, orange blossom too. It also contains tonka beans? Although I have no idea what they are and what they contribute to the mix.

                *********************************************************
I wouldn't have thought it would be possible to use violet so gorgeously in a fragrance, but Guerlain have and it works its magic well. Its no shrinking violet either, so forget the thoughts that you are having, that this is going to be like parma violets in liquid form, because it has way more class than that.

In summary this is just gorgeous! Its feminine, its sexy, alluring and confident
and I think its a real classic fragrance. If you haven't tried it yet, why not pay a visit to the fragrance counter of your local store and see if its for you.

Prices are usually around the £30 mark for a 30ml bottle, which lasts all day and far into the night too. I cannot rate this any less than 5 stars and if I am honest it would get 6 stars from me!

                  Advantages

                  Disadvantages

Will put you in a trance....

The has to be by far, the sweetest fragrance I have ever owned or indeed ever smelt - litterally sickly sweet - like sugar in liquid form. I initially bought it for a gift as friend wanted it and I couldnt believe they would want something so sugary smelling, I myself was not keen. However, once I started smelling it on my friend I felt into the trance of Insolence.
It is very feminine and floral, and smells like a much more expensive version of some cheaper branded body sprays which are a bit lighter. It's definately heavy duty, you will be noticed if you put some on and walk into a room.
I have since then started buying it for myself occasionally (I would buy it more often but the size of the bottle for the money is rediculous, although it is only £25-28, the bottle really does not hold much). Unfortunately the smell does not last as long as other fragrances I own, but as a scent it is really quite stand-alone - over the top but in a very good way! It, however, is most definately not an everyday perfume as it doesn't last long enough.

                  Advantages

                  Disadvantages

Smell it on yourself before you prchase it.

This is one of my favourite perfumes because it smells like palma violet sweets. Its a pretty heavy scent and you dont need a lot of it. One thing to consider is that palma violets are an acquired taste and many people dont like the smell of them. I have had a few remarks on several occasions by people that dont like the smell by saying that its over powering and thats with just a couple of squirts, so beware of it strength.
If like me, you dress and scent to please yourself and dont really care about what anyone else thinks, then i would advise all violet lovers to give this a so. When i first bought it I couldnt get enough and even today I save it for special occasions only. Dont forget that perfume always smells different on other people because of their natural skin oils go i would strongly urge you to test it on your own skin and let it develop before buying as its not a cheap bottle!

                    Advantages

                    Disadvantages

For someone who likes heavy, sweet fragrance, this would be nice. It's not an offputting scent.

I bought a selection of mini perfumes from Boots as a treat for myself - it was reduced to £8 and contained five fragrances so I thought that was pretty good value, and I really enjoy trying new perfumes.
I had previously seen an advert for Guerlain Insolence. What struck me about that was that I really didn't like the name; insolence is defined as 'an arrogant, insulting or bold mode of conduct or attitude'. To me that doesn't seem anything to aspire to; perhaps they were aiming at a vaguely 'rebellious' teenage market, which would also explain why it's the sponsor for the programme Gossip Girl, which is not something I've wanted to watch.

The bottle - even the miniature version I have - is really rather pretty, with a glass rose shape forming the lid, which sits on the rounded bottle at a jaunty angle.
I applied the perfume to my wrists by dabbing it on - the miniature bottles don't usually come with a spray action. I didn't find the perfume changed scent over time, as some do as they adjust to your skin.

The scent is described as having heart notes of orange blossom and rose, top notes of violet and red berries, and base notes of iris and tonka bean resins.
I am not terribly good at identifying different layers to fragrances, but this to me is rather a 'one note' sort of perfume - it's very sweet with a hint of parma violets. I can't really detect the rose scent but other people with better noses may be able to. It's described as a fruity fragrance but I consider it to be more on the floral side.

It is a heavy sort of fragrance but it doesn't give me a headache. It has a warmth to it, and it is generally pleasant. It has very good staying power. However, it doesn't really smell like an expensive perfume - to me it has a fragrance reminiscent of the heavy, more old-fashioned perfumes like L'Aimant and also Amarige (which is also by Guerlain). It doesn't really smell like it costs £29.50 for 30ml, which is the going rate.
In general, I think this perfume is a nice, cosy warm smell for winter, but rather too sweet, a little overpowering, and not especially complex. Although it was introduced in 2006, it does not seem like a modern fragrance. However, fragrance is a very personal thing and I can see why it would appeal to people - it's not unpleasant by any means. It does have a beautiful bottle, so if you know someone who likes the more old-fashioned sweet perfumes, it's probably an ideal gift for them.

                    Advantages

                    Disadvantages

A fabulous fragrance for any occasion.

I came across Insolence by Guerlain from a sponsorship advert on ITV, the advert was on before after the show and twice during each set of advert breaks on each hour long episode of the programme series. After being brainwashed I thought I have to know what this fragrance smells like. I went off in search and found it in The Fragrance Shop. I got the tester and immediately fell in love with Insolence. It was so fresh and deep.

I couldn't quite figure out what the scents were that I could pick out, every time I smelt it I seemed to pick out a different feel, it was sickly sweet and strong but at the same time slightly spicy. It also has a seductive feel to it.

I have found that depending on the occasion it seems to change its scent. For everyday I will use a little and it comes across subtle and fresh but for a date or evening wear I use a bit more and then the strong sweet spicy seductive aroma appears. The fragrance is also long lasting so a little goes a long way which in turn makes the perfume better value as you wont need to drown in it for the aroma to last all day or evening.
This will probably sound mad but I love how this fragrance seems to make me feel sexy and so much more confident. It's amazing what a little bit of perfume can do.

Insolence comes in an attractive looking bottle so it can be left out on display with out being an eye sore in the bedroom. The bottle is in the shape of half a ball with a slanted flat top. The lid is light pink and has two layers to it which are also slightly slanted.

At the time I bought it (early 09) there was an offer running so I bought a 50ml bottle of the shimmering version for £19.99 which I thought was very good value.

I am a huge fan of this perfume and wear it more or less everyday. I would definitely recommend Insolence and will be putting this on my christmas list as I'm nearly all out of my favourite perfume.

                      A timeless classic

Oh I love this perfume, it is my favourite and whenever I where it someone will always comment on how wonderful I smell.
To prove this I was on my way to a makeup show with my Mum and Nan in the car on the way there we were all arguing over who was wearing the best fragrance. At the show a famous Lancôme makeup Artist was applying some eyeliner to me. He was absolutely gorgeous so when he told me what perfume I was wearing and that he loved it I blushed all girly......well at that point my Mum and Nan knew that they had lost and I was defiantly wearing the best fragrance.
So if you want all the attention, whilst being subtle and sexy this is the one to go for. It will last all day and still be as beautiful at the end of the day as when you put it on in the morning. I never get board of wearing it.

Guerlain Insolence; is a surprising fruity, floral fragrance / With a glimmer of panache and a gleam of non-confirmist verve, its new interpretation of Violet is for the woman who feels no need to conform.
