I received this perfume as a gift from a friend recently. I wasn't too keen to try it if I'm honest, because my sister had had the Eau de Parfum version of it and she said it stank really bad. But anyway, I went ahead and gave it a try. If you wanted to buy the 30ml bottle it would set you back £36 in Boots.
The bottle is really pretty and elegant. It looks really high quality and is made of thick glass so it feels it too. As you can see from the photo it has a cute inverted heart shaped lid and a picture of a little black dress on the bottle on a graduated pink background. It really does look nice and I'm very proud to show this one off on my dressing table.
The perfume has top notes of roses, jasmine and orange blossom, heart notes of cherry, apple, blackcurrant and sparkling green notes, and base notes of white amber and silky musk.
I find this quite a mature perfume, the intitial rose and jasmine reminding me of perfumes my mam used to wear when I was a kid. The mid notes leave a fresher, crisper feel it and a sweetness which is very welcomed amongst the strong floral tones, but then the musk tends to take over and leave me with a rich, deep scent that again I feel is quite mature.
I don't think this is an unpleasant scent by any means, but it's defintiely not to my tastes, and I think it would more suit older women. It isn't too overpowering though, and the fact that it's an eau de toilette rather than a eau de parfum means it doesn't last a very long time, maybe 2 hours at the most. I think it would be suitable for daytime or night time wear as although it's not overly strong the deep muskiness means it will always be noticeable.
An absolutely essential and utterly irresistible perfumed creation / The legendary ''heart-shaped'' bottle has been boldly reinterpreted with a modern touch / Its crystalline transparency, fading from black to powdery pink, reveals the silhouette of the little black dress, ready to dance!' The first arabesque is an armful of fresh flowers / This bouquet of roses, jasmine and orange blossom gives off a delicate fragrance / Cherry, apple and blackcurrant take centre stage, refreshed by sparkling green notes / Last but not least, tempting notes of white amber subtly reveal themselves / A swathe of silky musk notes envelops everything in a soft halo.
