It is described as an oriental fragrance and I would describe it as "spicy". Based on this I believe that it is only really suitable For wearing on night outs and big occasions and isn t really suitable for daytime use. Another thing I like about Shalimar is... with some other perfumes using the shower gel, body lotion etc in the same range can often be a bit of a clash, because even though they should smell the same, there s a slight anomaly on the fragrance between the products. But... with Shalimar I have tried the shower gel and deodorant stick (and there are other products in the range) and all smell identical because it s a top quality brand. ...

a great era For me I think that the smell is totally out of date. The packaging is nothing special so it doesn't even make a nice dressing table ornament. In the end of the day it is obviously personal taste, but I find this product strong and over powering and the type to be worn by women who are still eighties power ...
