Advantages: Scent lasts ages! really original and unique, funky bottle, reasonable price.

Disadvantages: Personally i think this particular one is more old lady than 'baby' but still love the brand!

This really isn't your usual celebrity perfume at all, infact, it wasn't until coming to write this review that I even realised it was by Gwen Stefani.

The reason why the range is called Harajuku lovers is because the fragrances were inspired by the electric street scene of the Harajuku shopping district in Tokyo, where anything goes. - This is definitely reflected in the scent as its so original as well as the packaging, this too is very unique.

The lid of the bottle is a statue of the particular Harajuku character that represents the fragrance- in this case 'Baby'- there is a whole range of them, if you want to collect them all - 'baby' 'love' 'lil angel' 'G' and 'music'.
This idea is really fun but it does make the bottle appear much bigger, so make sure you check the ml size before buying to avaoid disappointment!

I have seen it in 10ml for £13.00 or 30ml for £20- I haven't seen it in any larger sizes. These prices could probably be beaten online too as this was in Boots.

The brand describes the scent in the following way....

Harajuku Lovers Baby fragrance has a powdery musk scent. The fragrance is fresh, clean and soft with top notes of freesia, bergamot, white rose, heart notes of orange flower, tiare flower and jasmine petals and base notes of white musk, soft woods, heliotrope, vanilla and violet.

In everyday terms I would describe it as a woody, floral musk.
Ironically to its name 'baby' I would describe the smell as more of an older ladies perfume- it has a certain talc powder smell to it and it is quite a heavy fragrance.

I was really impressed how long the fragrance lasted, Im so used to topping up mid day or using the matching moisturiser to try and prolong and enhance the smell but this perfume didnt need this!

I got this as a gift and I am very pleased I did as I never would have experienced it otherwise- Im generally set in my ways when it comes to perfume!

Although I probably wouldnt get this particular 'Baby' scent again, I really love its quirkiness and I will definitely be smelling the other ones in the range and hope that theres one to suit me!

A unique perfume and a great gift!

Summary: A great gift idea, something a little different to get you out of a perfume rut!
