Wicked Style is a collection of fragrances from the Harajuku Lovers range by Gwen Stefani.

      ~Lil' Angel EDT~

Like the other Harajuku Lovers, Lil' Angel is a character with her own style and scent. The Wicked Style Lil Angel has a gothic/girly appearance. Each bottle is collectable and features a large character doll. In this case of Lil' Angel, she has dark red hair and wears a lovely black dress. The bottle is a round affair and the character sits neatly on top covering the sprayer. The actual perfume is tinted pink and I personally love the bottle!

There are no matching body products for this fragrance and you simply buy an eau de toilette. There are 5 fragrances to collect in each range including G, Baby, Music and Love as well as Lil' Angel. They are often limited edition in design and scent. Wicked Style perfumes were influenced by a fashion district in Harajuku.

      ~Scent~

Lil' Angel has been created using various fragrance notes which give her individuality and make her stand out from the crowd.

***Top notes - plum, champagne, pomelo and bergamot***
***Heart notes - fresh Queen rose leaf, blooming lotus and waterlilies***
***Base notes - amber, musk and satin woods***

      ~Price and Availability~

Lil' Angel EDT can be purchased on line in a 10ml and 30ml sized bottle.

      ~My Thoughts~

I recently reviewed the G fragrance in this range and mentioned I had bought the collection when reduced in my local Boots. I bought a 10ml bottle of Lil'Angel for £5.00 and didn't have a clue what to expect from it. 10ml doesn't last long with me as I go through perfume like water - especially an EDT. I have used up every 10ml bottle near enough and given the bottles to my niece as she adores the Harajuku characters. I would say that this collection of fragrances is more concentrated on product design than offering a long lasting scent.

The initial spray of Lil' Angel is quite strong and reeks of alcohol. Only a small amount can be sprayed onto my wrist and neck or it would overpower. It does settle down within a few minutes and the scent can be appreciated. I would say Lil' Angel is aimed at the teenage - early 30s market. It is a 'young' scent but if you were older than this, you may well appreciate it. I'm in my mid 20s and I liked wearing this scent and it suited my skin.

Lil' Angel offers a lovely yet fairly subtle scent on my skin. It is a light and pleasant fragrance which would suit wearing during the day as it is no where near heavy or special enough to wear in the evening in my opinion. The main feel I get from the top notes is something fresh with a sparkling sweet undertone. The bergamot is very prominent and allows the scent to be refreshing on my skin. The champagne and plum blend into each other offering a juicy, sort of 'fizzy' feel to the scent which does liven it up a bit and adds a bit of depth.

Within 30 minutes, the sweetness has left the scent and the scent develops by offering a very delicate range of fresh notes. I feel the heart of Lil' Angel is a little too simple and doesn't have anything distinctive about it. It is simply subtle and leafy with a very faint floral backdrop. There isn't much too it at all and the scent sits very close to the skin. A further 2 hours pass and Lil' Angel escapes the freshness to reveal a subtle base combo. There is a little depth here and the scent is more noticeable that the heart was but all I can really detect is a faint amber and woody blend. The scent is gone from my skin with 4 hours.

      ~Conclusion~

I can't say I was too impressed with Lil' Angel. Other than the initial, sparkling top note combination, the overall scent lacked substance and strength. £5.00 may not seem a lot for an EDT but I would have expected it to last long. I can get more wear from my Soap and Glory body mist which is a pound more expensive but for 250ml so this is a bad deal. It is a pleasant enough and wearable scent - it just doesn't have a massive appeal except for the bottle design!

      3 stars..thanks for reading :)
