Boss Pure, is a EDT that I personally don't think gets enough credit. Rarely heard of as advertising for it is minimal most folk I know aren't really aware of its existence! That said...everyone that has had a smell is instantly hooked on it. The fragrance is presented in a light blue/silver glass bottle, to present the image of water, in line with the fresh smell of the fragrance itself. A fairly minimalistic design which looks good on you table without being too showy. As the official Hugo Boss description says, ''Boss Pure is a bright, aquatic accord. It rests on a sensual woody drydown of massoia and treemoss, conjuring elegance and sophistication.'' Now if like me you DO NOT understand what this means one bit, it is a fragrance best described as fresh with a sweet citrus scent. Being a fan of such scents I have found that Boss Pure is probably my favourite citrus EDT, the only downside to the scent is that it does fade faster than others, probably due to the subtle nature of the scents. Available in all major retailers for around £25 it is competitively priced along side other popular brands. Next time your shopping for a new EDT I strongly advise you grab a bottle and have a test!
Every morning when i had a shower I always put on a smile smell since I work and meet a lot of people with my work I find it important to smell nice. I hate when I meet somebody who doesn't smell nice and I always think there nothing easier to use a nice little fragrance in the morning. It can really make a big difference. If you really want to make a nice impression on people you should really consider the Hugo Boss Boss Pure. It's really a kind of smell where you don't overwhelm people with the scent and leaving people behind thinking they where hit by a truck. It's more a subtle summer fresh scent which makes it perfect for a lot of situations. The fragrance comes in a classic but modern looking bottle with a sort off mirror effect. It just looks a bit funky and I like it. At the same time it does look a little bit chunky and its not something you easily put in your bag. But the most important thing for me is that it's easy to use and it is. The spray works fine and gives you the right amount while using it. The smell is very fresh and it's the first thing you notice when you stray it. It really stands out from the other fragrances and it made me fell in love with it straight away. It's fresh and really gives you a uplifting feeling what is very welcome sometimes in the summer. Therefore I believe it's more a summer smell and not so much a winter one. The smell reminded me of citrus and a somewhat softer scent that I can't really place. The smell stays with you during the day but not very strong but still noticeable. That's maybe the only negative about this fragrance. I feels like the scent is not noticeable anymore after say four to six hours, which I don't find that long. I would definitely recommend this fragrance because it's one of the fresher ones I have ever had. It's fresh and soft but gives you really a wake up feeling which I love. Especially with the hot weather these last couple of weeks I love using it. The only thing is that I wonder how long it actually stays with me and because I was curious I did ask some friends of mine one day and they said they could still smell it but it wasn't really that noticeable anymore. A shame really because it's something that you want people to notice. Al in all a very nice smell.
During a freak bathroom accident a few weeks ago, I smashed my bottle of Chanel Allure Homme Sport causing what was once my fragrance of choice to become an annoying background scent everytime I used the toilet! Without delay, I headed to my nearest Boots, wife in hand, to find what my latest fragrance would now be... Without any idea of what to buy, I started the frustrating process of spraying lots and lots of different men's fragrances on to the tiny pieces of card provided. What I found were lots of decent scents but nothing outstanding. On top of that, you can't help but feel that all the fragrances merge in to one very quickly and you question the stamina of your sense of smell. Yet just as I was about to give up, I squirted a bit of Hugo Boss Pure on to another of those little white cards, and things started looking up. The first thing that came in to my mind when I inhaled the fragrance was just how fresh and different it seemed to the rest. There didn't seem to be any of that predominantly musky smell that most men's fragrances seem to rely on, this was soft, subtle and incredibly refreshing. The wife was in complete agreement that this was the one and I promptly handed over my cash. The Eau de toilette fragrance comes in three sizes: 30ml - £25 50ml - £35 75ml - £45 The bottle is a rectangular shape with chunky lid, one side being transparent and the other being a mirror-effect finish. The packaging is a subtle grey-blue box with the delightful fragrance supported inside. In all fairness, the only criticism I have of this fragrance is that it perhaps doesn't last as long as you would like. The manufacturer's suggest that the product is "utterly energizing and bursting with aquatic freshness, this scent is the perfect complement for the style-conscious, confidently ambitious and successful man." Personally, I think its probably one of the best fragrances out there at the moment that really stands out from the crowd.
