Hugo Boss: Femme, Eau de Parfum

For Christmas I was lucky enough to stock up on my perfume selection by recieving two big bottles of perfume from my boyfriend and my parents. One of the perfumes was a total surprise and I was a little dubious about opening it as I'd never actually smelt it before. I'm not really the best at hiding my reaction, especially if it had been a hideous smell I wouldn't have been able to stop my face from grimacing in disgust! I'm not a big perfume lover - I've always considered a perfume is something you should wear for special occasions only - mainly due to their high price tag! So when I choose a perfume, I choose carefully. This perfume was actually recommended to me by my mother. She found a sample strip in a magazine and immediately thought it reminded her of me. Boss Femme is a fairly new release from the Hugo Boss range. I did not realise how huge their perfume range had become - until I started using this the only fragrance I was aware of was their introductory first scent Hugo - I had heard more about them as a clothes line. The bottle comes in a small card box. It it a cylinder of thick frosted glass which is very simple. The bottle top/lid join is curved giving an elegant element to an otherwise austere bottle. Okay I have to admit I did not buy this particular perfume myself, my boyfriend got it for me while he was on holiday and all I could think was...why did he buy me this when I hate all things pink!!? Anyways im glad he did! This is such a nice fragrance, it is however very strong so you do not by any means need to spray a lot of it on yourself and the scent stays on you all day/night long, which is great. I would recommend this perfume for nighttime wear rather then the daytime as it is more heavy than some scents and it just feels right wearing it on a night out. Although I sometimes change and try new perfumes Hugo Boss Femme is the one I always go back to. I've worn it for a few years now and have never found a fragrance I like as much. I was introduced to the fragrance in a chemist. I asked the lady behind the perfume counter if I could have some sample cards to smell and told her I wanted a light perfume. After a number of attempts with me wrinkling my nose up she gave me this one.
