Boss Orange Eau de Toilette

Date: 24/10/09

Advantages: Feminine scent, floral, sweet, reasonable price

Disadvantages: Not very sophisticated, not a 'classic' scent, possibly suits younger women (under 30) more

Boss Orange was introduced earlier in 2009 and, despite the hype of the well-publicised campaign fronted by gorgeous Brit-girl Sienna Miller, the perfume is actually absolutely lovely!

Orange has a light, fresh summery scent, perfect for girly girls as it has sweet vanilla, orange-flower and musk scents. With a citrus scent, balanced with softer sandalwood notes, the scent holds well and lasts the whole day. I believe it is the sandalwood and hints of spice that make the perfume so long-lasting, and it is this and the crispy vanilla scent which stays with you during the day.

The makers claim that the signature fragrance encapsulates 'modern femininity... powerfully enchanting with a smooth, velvety texture' for passionate, carefree women. The fragrance is a feminine, sweet and summery scent and if you like other Hugo scents (Deep Red) for example, you will enjoy this, however I do not believe it is a total show-stopper but rather an occasional, summery scent.

The perfume comes in a beautiful, silver and frosty pink-orange bottle which would look beautiful on your dressing table or as a gift. The fragrance is also reasonably priced from 30ml (£25), 50ml (£35) and 75ml (£40).

Summary: A sweet, summer-themed scent of orange-blossom, vanilla and sandlewood
