Advantages: Nice packaging, Good smell and lasts well.
Disadvantages: None really for me
A few weeks ago, on one of my frequent visits to my nearest Debenhams store, I was given a tester card of Hugo Boss orange to sample. I thought it really nice at the time, but always like to give the fragrance a while before finally making up my mind. I have thought I liked fragrances in the past and as I've been wearing it I have found the aroma to change and, in some cases the perfume can smell altogether different after an hour or so of wear. In fact in a few cases of scents that I initially liked I found after a while the smell was quite altered and even annoying.
I had a look to see how much Debenhams were selling this for and saw that the small 30 ml bottle was priced at twenty-six pounds, making it within my price range for an occasional treat..
I kept having a sniff of the card and continued to enjoy the scent. After a while I decided that on my next shopping trip I would treat myself to a 30 ml bottle of this. I decided to buy from Boots rather than Debenhams because, although priced the same in both stores, I would get advantage card points at Boots which come in handy especially with Christmas approaching. Boots were also selling the 50 ml and 75 ml container for the same price as Debenhams.
I made this purchase chiefly for the smell as I hadn't seen the container when first sampling. However I really like the bottle design mainly because it makes a change to most of my perfume bottles and I think catches the eye. I think the packaging is modern and fun but still elegant. The orange and gold design of the bottle and its lid make it warming and welcoming. I consider it to be a great looking gift.
HUGO BOSS ON BOSS ORANGE
(taken from http://store-uk.hugoboss.com)
BOSS Orange Sunset features an evocative combination of creamy, sensual notes. A heady bouquet of orange blossom and tuberose in the heart notes is set against a creamy sandalwood and vanilla base, imbuing BOSS Orange Sunset with the same soulful sensuality that characterizes all BOSS Orange Women fragrances. The addition of inviting, tropical granadilla blends with the prominent floral heart notes to give the fragrance a fresh flair. A fragrance for the passionate and expressive woman
I thought it was pretty good in the respect of being a long lasting fragrance. It changed in aroma, as perfumes do, whilst wearing, becoming more subtle, but it still remained a pleasant but vibrant smell. Well that's how I can best describe it.
I think this is one of my most versatile fragrances as I find it suitable for most occasions and will wear either in the evening or daytime. As it is called Orange Sunset then it may be meant for evening wear but I don't think it's out of place for any time use. It has got a fresh smell which is floral, but tangy and bright. I suppose really I had to like this one as I adore the smell of orange blossom, which is an ingredient of this fragrance. I wouldn't call it a highly floral smell and it certainly hasn't got that rose aroma, which in some perfumes can be a bit old fashioned. I really would say this, in essence, is very modern fragrance but suitable for all ages.
I also think this fragrance is suitable to wear all year round.
