Hugo Boss: Orange Sunset, Eau de Toilette

Well I don't know about you ladies out there but I'm the type of girl that has a posh perfume collection and an everyday perfume collection. In my every day collection I have the usual sorts from little black dress to Fergie (both from Avon and both lovely) which I wear to work or to the supermarket. However for the special night out or in I like to wear my 'posh perfume', as it makes spending all that money on a little glass bottle seem worth it.

I first brought Hugo Boss - Orange Sunset when I popped into my local boots and declared to the lovely assistant that pounced on me as soon as I floated in that I wanted something different. She wafted a few scents under my nose but nothing stood out. I don't know about you but when I walk into boots it always tends to hit me in the back of the throat and for the 20 or so minutes I am in there I lose all sense of smell and everything merges into one.

I was about to just opt for my normal fragrance when she asked me to sniff her wrist (I know, but I'm a talker and I made a friend). She was wearing Hugo Boss and it smelt lovely, a light fruity scent that didn't choke you to death or remind you of toilet cleaner. The deciding factor was that it came in a beautiful orange glass bottle that's lid fitted snugly on top and had a yet more orange glass in it, it looks beautiful on my dressing table and really stands out amongst the other perfumes.

The perfume absorbed into my skin quickly and did not irritate me, as I have sensitive skin this is a bonus in my view. The only let down for the perfume is that I feel that the smell does not last for very long. After a few hours I find myself reapplying, which in turn means the bottle has not lasted as long as I would have liked it to.

On the plus side I received plenty of lovely comments about the perfume saying how lovely it smelt on me. The partner was also impressed as I received the bigger bottle for Christmas this year.

Personally I love this perfume though I feel you pay extra for the name Hugo Boss, and the scent does not seem to last for very long on me. However for the odd night out or a special occasion it's a winner. Its soft fruity smell attracts a lot of positive comments and the bottle (though a little bulky in the larger version) looks beautiful compared to my other bottles of perfume. Worth a try if you want something different that's smell isn't to overpowering.
