~Why Hugo is the Boss!~

Hugo Boss are a brand that I have often thought of as being a mans brand and thats possibly why I was so amazed by the lovely deep and alluring scent that the Hugo Boss Deep Red EDP for women imparts. I feel that the fragrance has a good amount of longevity on the skin and has a very nice deep and sensual fragrance to it that will suit those who like a sexy warm fragrance with plenty of character.

I feel rather pleased that I dipped my toes into the world of ladies Hugo Boss fragrances with this one as it certainly is a true pleasure to wear and makes for a wonderful fragrance to wear on cold and wintery evenings. I like the subtle way that the mix of ingredients within Deep Red work together on my skin to give a lovely long lasting fragrance. I really do not need to use very much of the fragrance at all to get a good result from it and that means that in terms of value for money a little Hugo Boss Deep red lasts a long time.

The way I see Hugo Boss Deep Red for women is as a deep and provocative, alluring fragrance that has a full and sexy slightly musky warmth to it. It is rather powdery at times yet not in an over powering annoying way and its very easy to wear on colder days when the warmth it gives off is well received. There is a nice fruity and floral tone to this fragrance as well as the heavier musky tones that it has and I feel the over all effect is very easy to wear.

The fruity notes are blood orange which gives a tangy feel and a combination of clementine, blackcurrant and pear. The florals include ginger flower which is used as a cooking ingredient in some cultures and sweet freesia. I can't say for certainty that any of these stand out as single scents to me when I wear this, although I do feel that the overall feel is very enjoyable to wear. The strength and longevity within the fragrance comes from sandalwood, cedarwood and vanilla and I can sense the warm enveloping sweetness of the vanilla for many hours after this has been sprayed onto my skin.

The look of the fragrance bottle is attractive in an unconventional way and has a sultry yet understated feel to it that could be seen as unisex. The bottle sits well on a flat surface and doesn't tend to get knocked over easily due its weightier base. The spray applicator is easy to use and I don't feel the need to over use the fragrance as it works well with just a light amount of fragrance on my skin. There is a certain masculinity about the look of the bottle and the box and that is something that I feel may put some buyers off. I would say that its better to test the fragrance prior to walking on by if the bottle fails to please you, as the fragrance within is truly very nice to wear.

In terms of price you can often buy the fragrance in Boots for £25/ £26 for a small sized 30ml bottle. I feel that whilst that may seem expensive the fragrance is very long lasting when you wear it and you don't need to spray it on over the course of the day to freshen it up. Very often Boots have £5 off fragrance vouchers and the Hugo range is usually included in this promotion, which means that you can often cut the price down to around £20. I feel this is very good value indeed for such a charming fragrance. As for rating the product I feel it has a wonderful scent to it that will take you by surprise if you haven't experienced it and as such I want to give it a 5 star rating.
