I adore this fragrance which has been issued twice as a "Limited Edition" fragrance. I was overjoyed when the Perfume was re-issued a 2nd time as it really is a firm favorite of mine.
It's a fruity, zesty, uplifting scent which evokes a summery feeling. I wish that they had issued a Body Lotion to overlay with this beautiful scent and that it was available all year round.
An Initial hit of Grapefruit is followed by a blend of mouthwatering citrus aromas which blend together to create this delightful scent. The Scent seems to last longer than most perfumes with great staying power, yet isn't overpowering and leaving a lovely lingering scent which smells fresh and fruity. I think Baby Doll was issued by Yves Saint Laurent after In Love Again but alas lacked the memorable scent of In Love Again.
I would thoroughly recommend this product to anyone who enjoys light, fresh, fruity fragrances.
In Love again..... By Yves Saint Laurent
I first discovered this perfume whilst on holiday a few years ago. It was whilst on a holiday with friends, wondering around the array of wonderful stores, that l discovered 'in love again' by Yves Saint Laurent .
One smell of this fragrance and I instantly loved this perfume and knew l had to have it.
Strangely enough it was sometime after this encounter that l actually got my very own bottle. I was going to go back to the store, but as my holiday didnt go quite to plan, and l ended up in hospital, l didnt get my bottle.
It was some years later, when l had hinted to my boyfriend that l would like a bottle, that he brought me a bottle.
About this fragrance
This particular fragrance is a limited edition which was introduced in 1998. However you can still buy this fragrance online and at various other places.
The bottle is a decent sized bottle. At the bottom of the bottle it tells me its made in France and that it is a 100ml bottle.
Yves Saint Laurent can be relied on for his great designs. Other popular fragrances from Yves Saint Laurent are Opium, paris and elle. These are products you can trust for quality.
The box that the perfume is brought in, is a very colourful box, with a heart on the front. It features the name of the perfume 'in love again' and then underneath is the designers name.
It looked the same as the picture above.
The bottle itself is very attractive too. What you notice about both bottle and the box, is that it is a very modern, funky, summery perfume, in both image and scent. Its probably styled at younger people and the scent would probably be more appealing to younger people.
The bottle is styled in the shape of a heart, which is a good as it keeps with the theme of 'love'.
On first impressions the perfume is sweet, floral and fruity. It is a very feminine scent with quite a strong smell, but it is rather unique. The blend of citric fruits compliments the perfume well. Its difficult at first to distinguish the blend of fruits, but there is a blend of grapefruit and grapes, this is probably the strongest blend that comes through, but there are more subtle tones too, such as Blackberry.
Although the perfume has a rather strong scent, it is definitely a day perfume. It is a summery smell, that instantly brings summer to you when you spray. The fresh summer smells of summer are never forgotten when you have a bottle of 'in love again'.
When you spray, an adequate amount of the perfume sprays on the desired area. At first the fragrance is quite strong, but it settles with the scent of your skin and becomes a less intrusive gentle but fresh summer scent. I do quite like fruity smells and if you like this type of fragrance l would recommend it.
The scent lasts for a pretty average amount of time, not a particularly long time, but it appears to last a similar amount of time to any other perfumes l have. This is probably a couple of hours
I loved this perfume for ages. I still like to wear it , but l don't class it as a favourite any more.
It's a lovely light summery fragrance, but l am finding that the smell can sometimes be sickly sweet. So l would prefer to use this fragrance occasionally, rather than on a daily basis. I would recommend this scent for those that like fruity smells. Cost wise it is probably pretty average with other fragrances available.
I was happy with this product, l thought it was really well presented. Ive had my bottle ages now, but l have found that it has actually gone down very slowly, even though l have used it quite frequently.
This fragrance can be brought for aprox. £23
After several heavy hints and a couple of weeks waiting, I was delighted when my boyfriend presented me with a bottle of Yves Saint Laurents limited edition fragrance In Love Again. The occasion? Two years together; but enough of that - more of the perfume.
IN LOVE AGAIN
I can only guess at how other ladies decide upon their fragrance purchases, but personally I value both fragrance AND packaging so both have to be taken into account when choosing a perfume. Ultimately fragrance overrules packaging but I refuse to own anything in an ugly bottle as all my bottles are displayed on my dressing table, and if it looks disgusting I will rarely feel compelled to use it.
Out of my small collection, In Love Again comes a close second in the Prettiest Bottle stakes beaten only by YSLs very own Baby Doll. It is of a medium height and made of clear glass. The front is graced with its name in large letters and the brand in smaller font. It has an elegant textured gold lid with a heart on the tip; you should then notice something rather unusual - The bottle itself is in the shape of a heart from a birds eye view. It is very pretty indeed.
When you come to spray the perfume you will discover that the pump dispenses the perfect amount it doesnt dribble feebly out of the spray and leak down the bottle and drip down your neck, nor does it spray loads over a massive surface area its just right.
YSL describe it like this:
Scent Type: Fruity-Floral
Top Notes: Grapes, grapefruit, brimbelle
Heart Notes: Tulip tree, grapefruit, water lily
Base Notes: Blackberry, sandalwood, mush
To me, that is almost utter nonsense as I am unfamiliar with perfume terminology and being a regular consumer site I guess others will have the same opinion. I hope that it will be of assistance if I now attempt to describe how the perfume smells on me (bear in mind that the fragrance of perfumes can differ from person to person, depending on how it reacts with their skin).
After allowing the perfume a few minutes to settle on my skin it is overtly fruity. There are strong elements of grapefruit to it, and to me it seems somewhat reminiscent of Baby Doll (for those of you who have smelt it). It is tangy and fresh, an ideal scent for summer wear. Apart from grapefruit it definitely smells of other mixed citrus fruits. I wouldnt say the fragrance is overpowering, but it is certainly strong and zesty during the first hour. If you dont like sweet scents then give this a wide berth it is by no means sickly sweet, but it is undeniably girly if it were a pattern it would be something like bright yellow and pink zigzags.
As the scent settles into your skin, after say 30-60 minutes it becomes more subtle in its scent. The zesty elements are toned down - itd be a weak lemon cordial as opposed to fresh tangy lemonade still present but taking more of a back seat. It is now that the floral scent becomes more apparent and you come to realise why YSL included the word love in this name. Very apt. How, or why I do not know, but it seems to want me to reminisce happy times with friends and loved ones it is a brilliant scent for those days when youre not quite feeling one hundred percent. Granted, its not a cure for depression but it certainly lifts your mood!
Give it a few more hours and it is very feint. This is the one, and only potential downfall of this scent. It is jaw-droppingly gorgeous during the 30-60 minute mark, and for a couple of hours thereafter, but pass the four hour mark and there remains only a trace of the scent on your skin. HOWEVER, thinking about it carefully, I do get a little sick of fragrance if it is as strong at the end of the day as the moment I applied it. The staying power of this may well be a blessing in disguise for me, but do bear this in mind before purchasing the product, perhaps test some in the shop and see how long it lasts.
I love it. It is a 100% feel-good fragrance. At present it is my favourite scent, and will probably remain so for a little while as it is a very fruity floral scent and summer is approaching. Although subtle, it is definitely unique. When my mum or sister wears it and I am near them I know immediately what it is as there is no scent quite like it.
It would suit young girls and ladies alike there is no age limit on love! My mum wears it and I think it suits her just as well as it suits my 19 year old sister.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
Now heres the bit almost everyone dreads in my reviews ..the price. £35 for a 100ml bottle. I very much doubt you will find bargains on this product as it is a limited edition fragrance. It was initially introduced in 1998 as a special edition, and 50,000 bottles have been distributed worldwide to celebrate YSLs 40th birthday. I believe my boyfriend bought mine in House of Fraser, and it should be sold anywhere where there is a YSL counter (my local Boots didnt have it).
So, £35 take it or leave it but if youre taking it I would get in there quick before they run out!

Jean Paul Gaultier I bought this perfume, more for the packaging than anything else, the perfume, is brilliantly presented in a woman shaped bottle. However, i do not think the smell of the perfume has not a strong smell at all and compared to the likes of ralph lauren, it is poor in that apartment. but unlike ralph lauren it is brilliantly packaged, and if you want to buy a bottle of perfume which looks goood, then this is the one for you. but like me if you want to smell nice and don't care about the packaging then buy this. it is a good buy if u like to touch and not look at a perfume. but have a look and see if you like it.
