Today Gingaro will be reviewing an old favourite, L?eau D?Issey. A fragrance although made in France is a product of the Japanese fashion/fragrance house Issey Miyake. I was introduced to this fragrance by a friend of the family. Now don?t get me wrong, I don?t go around smelling people, this smell simply wafted my way whilst out one night. Issey Miyake is a native of Japan, having been born in Hiroshima back in 1938. He gained exeperience of the fashion world duiring stints working and studying in Paris and New York. He then branched out on his own and set up the Miyake Design Studio in Tokyo in 1970. After throwing another empty bottle of Miyake out just yesterday, I now am on to my 4th bottle of eau de toilette spray (not including 2 bottles of splash on I've used). With the 75 ml bottles coming in at anywhere around 22 pounds and the 125 ml bottles at 42 pounds, this is money well spent, or "well scent".... Having heard a lot of good things about this aftershave emulsion I decided to try it out. The bottle comes in a fairly plain box. The top half is white and the bottom half is baby blue - very distinctive. The glass bottle looks like frosted glass, very plain but you can see the product through the glass. The cap is silver as is the pump mechanism. As the name suggests this is an aftershave lotion to be used after shaving as a soothing skin moisturiser.
