Advantages: Fresh and floral, long lasting
Disadvantages: None for me I love it
When I received a sample of this perfume I guessed I was going to like it just by reading what was in it, L'eau D'issey Florale is by Issey Miyake and as you may guess by the name is a floral perfume, my favourite. Florale is packaged in a pretty conical bottle, it has Issey Miyake written around the bottom and the lid is a silver/pink metallic with a small ball on the top. The bottle is made from clear glass allowing you to see the liquid inside which is a very pretty pink colour. The whole thing looks simple, elegant and very feminine.
Florale is described as " reinterpreting Eau d'Issey, their classic scent, in a younger, more floral and sparkling version, the very essence of flowers in a perfume"
Notes included in Florale include:-
Top-- Mandarin, Rosebud, lily, Green notes and Aquatic notes
Heart-- Rose, Spicy notes, Orange blossom
Base-- White woods and Musk.
On spraying Florale for the first time the smell is fresh and citrus with the mandarin coming through very clearly, not far behind though is the rosebud and lily, its a sweet fragrance with the edge just taken of by the citrus notes which give it a fresh light element.
As the perfume develops the citrus seems to fade away leaving a floral spicy smell, the rose is delicate but not overpowered by the spicy notes. Once fully developed Florale finishes with a sweet musky fragrance which is so feminine.
This is quite a strong perfume but definitely not over the top, it doesn't get in my throat or give me a headache as some others have done.
I sprayed Florale in the morning before I went out and the fragrance was still there when I got home at tea time, the smell had faded very slightly but my husband commented on it when he came in from work so the smell hadn't faded very much at all. I would personally say this would last all day and through to evening making it long lasting, although I personally tend to wear this just in the daytime, its a lovely summery smell and with the summer approaching now would be an ideal time to buy Florale.
I love this fragrance, its so feminine and despite being predominantly floral it isn't old fashioned, its fresh and more suited to younger women but that is just my opinion. It has good lasting power without being too strong. I've had lots of lovely comments about this and would certainly recommend it, it's a floral fragrance but has a lovely fresh smell too.
If you like floral fragrances then Boots are currently selling L'eau D'issey Florale at the price of £47.50 for 50mls and £66.50 for 90mls, its also available from online stores like The Perfume Shop where it is usually slightly cheaper.
I wouldn't hesitate to give this 5 Dooyoo stars.
Summary: I will certainly be buying the full size bottle
