Last year I was looking for a new aftershave. I've never really been into buying expensive brands in the past, and to be honest i've always liked the cheaper products e.g 'Lynx' and other bargain scents. However, I decided to do some research and find out which fragrances were the most popular.

This investigation led me to Issey Miyake's 'L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme' - an aftershave for men with a rich tradition.

The larger sized bottle (125ml) comes in a container with a spray top, and has a retail price of around £45.

If you look on eBay, you can get hold of this product for around ten pounds cheaper, but always check the sellers feedback rating as there are plenty of fake aftershaves on the site.

The smell of the product is quite citrussy, and I personally find it to be quite spicy as well - although i'm not that good at singling out different 'notes' of a smell. Most importantly, I like it as a pleasing aroma (although i'm not so sure that my girlfriend agrees...!).

I've read reviews where women say that they like to use the product on themselves, as it's not overly manly and quite light. However, you do have do use this aftershave sparingly, as applying too much can apparently cause a headache for some people.

Anyway, overall, L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme is a pleasing aftershave that lasts quite a long time. Although it is fairly pricey, the product has a quality about it, and is enjoyed by a lot of people.
