Advantages: fresh smell, nice bottle

Normally I like to treat myself, usually every once in a while. I am a typical girly girl I love all my beauty products and I love to buy different perfumes. So many are coming out that it is hard to keep up because when you eventually buy a designer’s latest they have made a new one. I always get samples when I buy my perfumes and that is exactly how I found out about L’Eau D’Issey, it sounded very nice and I liked it.
L’Eau D’Issey was launched by the design house of Issey Miyake in 1992. From then on it has been a popular perfume with both men and women. Being described as a casual wear earthy perfume it is definitely a popular choice.
So I no longer have the box of the perfume but to be honest the box design is not always the main thing. The actually bottle is nice because it is not overly vibrant, overly designed but what I would describe as classic, simple yet sophisticated.
Its shape is a very tall cone shape, reaching to a point at the top. The clear liquid inside can be seen through the clouded glass so that you know how much you have left. On the top third the lid takes over it is a metal lid and on the top it is a little sphere.
So when lifting off the lid it is a spray perfume of course. The smell is very refreshing it almost reminds me of Davidoff Cool Water, not too heavy light and I’d probably say it’s one for daytime although I notice when advertised it always says recommended for romantic use which I think is stupid.
So the smell on first spray still doesn’t seem very strong. I would say on first impression the smell was very natural, fresh, clean and faintly floral. It is one that in two sprays it should be enough as you don’t want it to be too much. I like the smell because it is unusual but the fact it is called L‘eau D’Issey you get the impression of it feeling very natural as l’eau of course is water in French.
That is my personal take on what the smell is but to be more exact I read to see what in fact it is made of. It is the essences of bergamot, tuberose and lily, blended with notes of carnation, cedar and amber. It has been described also as being oriental, sweet and woody. I would agree on the fact it smells sweet as it does.
So does it stay on long? Well normally when I go to work or on a normal day if I get up early and spray it, I would say that it lasts the whole day. I don’t feel that the smell fades at all and that you would have to re-spray it during the day. This is definitely a great point because I hate perfumes that do not last for a long time; it just means you’ll use it more then have to buy more.
So I definitely feel this is the kind of perfume for women of all ages as it is not too strong for those that are younger but yet not too light for those of a less youthful age. The perfume is definitely a casual day wear perfume and would be good on most occasions.
The perfume comes in three different sizes. It is an eau de toilette and I personally went for the 50ml one. It comes in 25ml, 30ml, 50ml and 100ml. All good sizes and of a reasonable price.
Not only are there the eau de toilette sprays but like every fragrance there is also other additions. There is the body lotion, body cream, deodorant spray, bath & shower gel. It pretty much comes with every possible extra you could know. Now this summer there is also a special summer spray.
To buy this perfume you can go into your local department store or Boots and you should be able to buy it no problem. I personally think the best deals are on http://www.strawberrynet.com . It offers the whole L’Eau D’Issey collection and at good prices too.
If it’s not the perfume alone but in gift set form that you want. http://www.supaperfume.com offers a L’Eau D’Issey gift set. This includes 50ml EDT spray and 75ml body lotion costing £39.99 with free delivery.
