Advantages: Unusual, but not too outre

Disadvantages: Expensive - aren't all the best things?

J'Adore, by Christian Dior is a cut above a lot of the cheap tosh available on the perfume market these days. It's a classic, but it's not Chanel No 5 (which seems to have an association with the elderly these days!), and it'll get you noticed in all the right ways - I always always always get comments when I wear this.
The main advantage, as I see it, is that it doesn't smell sickly like so many women's perfumes do - it's bold, but not in your face, it's fresh but doesn't smell like Cif, it's unusual, but doesn't make people point and laugh in the street... You get the point.

I'd try and describe the fragrance, but it smells different on everyone - on me it's a little musky, with freshness on top, like the smell of really good new leather, overlaid by the smell of a properly clean house; sounds mental, but it's a great smell.

Summary: For the discerning woman in your life (should be in advertising, me)
