I saw this aftershave was released a while ago and decided to purchase some after trying it out and falling in love with the smell. In a strange way, it has a similar scent to the original Jean Paul Gaultier fragrance but it is slightly less rich and has a lighter and somewhat floral smell although it's 100% masculine. The aftershave comes in a tin just like the original, however it is white. It has the Fleur Du Male logo in the middle with the Jean Paul Gaultier logo at the top in an urban-style text. Beneath it says 'Eau De Toilette', which is the one you want to be getting rather than one simply labelled 'aftershave' online, which isn't as long lasting on the skin.

I managed to find an eau de toilette for around £35, which was 125ml in volume. This is a very large bottle for the price so I was pleased with this. Inside, the bottle is held within a mould so it's very stable and safe if being transported. You can open the tin and then pull out this mould to reveal the bottle. It slips out of the mould to be use, and it comes with a safety cap already on. This is good as it prevents the spray button being pressed when it's not in use, so it could be handy around kids for example. The very white design with a little 'Fleur Du Male' tag hanging from the spray button makes it look very modern and simplistic.

The bottle has the same design as the original but it is white and opaque. You can't really see the level of the aftershave left although there is a slight shadow if you look carefully. The bottle is shaped like a male torso and has a white spray button on the top. The spray function does work well although you'll have to make sure you are holding the bottle roughly in an upright position so it sprays well.

The scent is wonderful with bergamot and orange blossom. Although containing more floral scents, it still has a very masculine smell although I'm sure it may appeal to the ladies more, which is a benefit if you are wearing it! It is still quite strong in the way it's long-lasting on the skin but I wouldn't say it is immediately as rich as the original. A couple to a few sprays on the neck will easily see you through a day or night. I'd certainly recommend trying this aftershave, as although similar to the original it's very unique and quite attractive. I bought mine from Amazon.co.uk, which turned out to be pretty cheap. The bottle is quite large too so will last a long time.
