      Advantages

      Disadvantages

I'm in love with this perfume, as well as J.LO!

I saw this perfume on offer for £9.99 in Savers for a 75ml and it has to be one of the best bargain I found. I did have doubts on this perfume, because I thought that it would be similar to her other ones like Glow and Live (which are just as gorgeous, and smell gorgeous as this one!)
Also there are two versions of this there is also a silver one, as well as the gold one but personally if you were to pick out of the silver or the gold, I would personally choose the gold one, because it smells much more nicer, got a nice evening feeling to it, because I personally think that this perfume is more going out wear rather than day wear. But its whatever you are feeling or if you have a particular perfume taste (i.e. whether you are sporty, fresh, floral, girly, sweet, glamour)

The presentation of the box is so beautiful, it is golden with the name of the perfume surrounded by pink/salmon glitter which makes the product more appealing, but when you open it the bottle is just as gorgeous as the box of the product. When I opened it, it was like a gold slide because the most loveliest thing about this bottle is that it has these curves to the bottle, which adds a girly touch to the product. I think another cute thing about the bottle's presentation is that it has a salmon/pink crystal as a lid, which looks very cute and more appealing than you get with some perfume bottles where it's just a sliver lid or a round lid with noting fancy, nothing unique, but this one has a nice unique touch to the lid, that's one of the main reasons I like this perfume's presentation. But what I don't like about the presentation is that the name on the bottle (Love and Glamour Jennifer Lopez) is stood out and the writing looks plain and bold, I think some fancy writing to it would be more suited. (Maybe it's because I'm a bit picky or making an improvement)

The smell of it is wonderful, like I said at the beginning it has more of a evening feel, rather than a day to day feel. It smells so, so beautiful, it smells like sweet and floral, but with a little summer feel to it which is quite nice, and there are perfumes which you prefer to wear in the seasons. For example, beach feel for summer, and a musky feel for winter. Also what I like about this perfume is that it is long lasting, and you will feel gorgeous all night long, and you might want to apply every now and again, but trust me you will feel just as gorgeous as the perfume!

Overall, I think every girl should have this perfume on her shelf, whether you want an evening perfume or want a summer perfume. Also you can get this quite cheaply because it is one of her old ones, you could also try somewhere like Superdrug or Boots if they do not have some in Savers or you do not have a Savers store nearby. I can say that I will be buying another one of these soon! Love this perfume too much!

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

Generally a lovely scent...much better than previous perfumes released by Jennifer Lopez!!

Jennifer Lopez released her new fragrance Love & Glamour on to the market in autumn 2010. Love & Glamour was created by Honorine Blanc and Harry Fremont of Firmenich in cooperation with Lopez.

        The Smell...
Composition opens with notes of Italian mandarin, guava and nectarine pulp. A heart incorporates water lily, coconut orchid, orange blossom absolute and jasmine petals, while a base finishes with sandalwood, sensual musk and amber. While the fragrance was being created and developed, Lopez asked the perfumers to accentuate sandalwood at least a bit more and to make the fragrance a bit sexier...

Like most perfumes, upon spraying, it comes across as being a bit strong...but after a few minutes the citrus scents come out and create a romantic, feminine scent. It isnt an over powering smell, which is good, but a disadvantage of this is that the smell doesnt last as long as other perfumes would.

        The appearance...
The fragrance is available as 50 and 75ml EDP, along with 200ml body care lotion. The 75ml bottle retails at just under £30 online. You could probably get it cheaper on ebay or shopping around elsewhere.

The bottle is gold with "Love and Glamour Jennifer Lopez" written on the bottom in small black font. The shape of the bottle is something which is supposed to resemble a celebrity in a glamourous gown on the red carpet....a weird concept in my opinion, as an everyday woman would find it hard to relate to this. When i look at the shape of the bottle, i think its supposed to be Jennifer Lopez's figure, as the bottle comes out, as if its emulating her curves. Relative to the "Jennifer Lopez" brand, yes...but why would a woman want to buy the perfume because the bottle looks like a curvy body?! It definitely looks a bit like an award...maybe she's hinting at something. Although the bottle shape is a bit odd...it is different and makes it very easy to hold. The lid has a gold bumpy texture and then theres a plastic pink shape around it which i think is supposed to look like some sort of diamond...but it just looks a bit tacky.

        Who is this suitable for....???
The smell is sweet and would definitely suite a broad range of ages. If i smelt this scent on my grandmother, i wouldnt think anything of it. If i smelt it on my sister, again, i wouldnt think anything. So basically, Jennifer Lopez has done well to create a scent which is eclectic among differing ages. The appearance of the bottle doesnt really appeal to me and im 23...it does have a more mature look about it, so I cant see many young girls picking it up, unless they'd just buy it because of who created it. The scent is definitely wearable for any occassion...but personally, i would wear it to a wedding or posh dinner. It doesnt seem to last very long, but because its a relatively low priced item, you probably are getting your moneys worth.

        Overall....
A well priced, nice perfume. Better than her other perfume by far. Probably best suited to women in their late 20's...but an older woman could definitely pull it off, so basically suitable for more mature women. It doesnt last all day, but a feminine, romantic, flirty scent which is worth a sniff...

A middle of the road release.

          The fragrance
          - - - - - - - - - - - -

Actress/singer Jennifer Lopez was one of the first celebrities to release her own fragrance [she had a fashion range - J.Lo - going at the time] and to be fair she really is a 'celebrity', unlike many of the other D listers who have followed in her wake with perfumes of their own.

Lets tick her perfume releases so far off; The first was Glow and it's millions of limited edition flankers [I think there has been seven so far], Still [I think was her nicest and most unique], Live and it's two limited flankers [Live Luxe and Live Platinum], Deseo, Deseo for Men [I keep seeing this in TJ Maxx], Deseo Forever [Asian market exclusive] and LOVE & GLAMOUR.

LOVE AND GLAMOUR is pure sweet citrus for the first five minutes or so: I can't pick out the mandarin, guava or nectarine, it's all one long sweet-but-fresh note. I like that the tops notes mingle together into one long note that leans more towards fresh then sweet on me, since I'm wearing LOVE & GLAMOUR now that the weather is booking up. After all who wants to wear a fragrance that's heavy and sweet when it's hot and sticky outside?

The jasmine is thankfully sheer and is almost hidden by the lingering citrus, if it was too strong it would clash with the sweetish fruit top notes and be a migraine trigger puller. In fact ALL of the florals appear underdeveloped in this fragrance, so the only other floral I can place with any certainty is the orange blossom. Sometimes when I wear this I think I can make out a hint of waterlily, but I can't be sure that I'm just imagining it because I know that it's meant to be there. Sometimes I can catch a hint of coconut water, but it's very mild and comes and goes.

The base is a big letdown for me; The sandalwood is so strong that it completely drowns out everything else, except for a breeze of musk. Jennifer Lopez has said in the press that she asked for more sandalwood to be added to make the fragrance sexier, but I don't find it sexy at all - it makes everything flat and one dimensional. Considering the strength of the sandalwood, I was surprised by how quickly LOVE & GLAMOUR goes close to the skin.

          Official scent notes

          The bottle

I don't know how to describe the bottle, other then as a semi-melted Academy award. It is eye-catching, I'll give it that. I have the 75ml bottle and I've lost count of the number of times it has toppled from the dresser and chased by the cats across the room, due to the bottle being tall with a small base. Still; It hasn't smashed [yet], so at least I know that the glass is hard wearing.

          Other buying considerations
          - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

This wears as through it were a body spray made for hotter weather - the scent notes are light, making the staying power poor for the price. After only four hours or so, I struggle to get more then a brief whiff of orange blossom and sandalwood.

This is a spring/summer fragrance only - the freshness of the fruit notes, underdeveloped florals and skin musk just don't work in the colder months, maybe it's just my nose but in winter it is just guava and sandalwood scented water. I got my bottle for Christmas and dutifully wore it a few times before shoving it into a drawer and forgetting about it for a few months. I almost swapped it, but thankfully held on to it for trying in warmer weather.

It's fine for daytime wear as it's fresh but sweet and light, so I'd say this is more of a girlie-but-casual accompaniment to jeans and a tee, rather then a sexy/grown up/statement/smart-wear/special occasion fragrance. I have worn it for work and received compliments on it, but it didn't feel right, don't ask me why. it just didn't.

          My opinion
          - - - - - - - - - - - -

This is a nice-but-not-unique fruity/floral, that is best suited to a sunny spring/summer day so I don't know why it was released in the festive lead-up in America. I can't find anything on a official release date over here yet, but all of the past Jennifer Lopez brand fragrances have had a UK release so I guess that Coty are waiting for the summer.

There's nothing that I dislike this fragrance and will continue to use my 75ml bottle as it was a Christmas gift, but it's not something I'd buy for myself, as it is just like every other generic fragrance out there. Another thing; I can't see how this represents glamour. Not a huge issue really, but how did they come up with the name - pulls phases from a hat?

Overall; I think that if you enjoy Jennifer's Glow fragrance you'll like this too, as the soft florals and skin musk are similar to it; it seems very clean, almost soapy to me, rather then the Hollywood glam image the makers were hoping for.

If you're looking for a gift for someone who wears any of the other Jennifer Lopez perfumes this would be a safe choice. It's too mild to be disagreeable and isn't something that smells 'young' or 'old'.

I don't remember seeing any 30ml bottles in Macy's, which is unusual for a Jennifer Lopez/Coty release, so maybe they'll offer some in the UK launch as the smaller sizes usually sell better.
