Jennifer Lopez's Still fragrance is one that I have been using as an everyday perfume for several years now. In general I am not really a fan of celebrity perfumes, but there are one or two gems out there, and I have to say that I think that this is one of them.
I am quite a girly girl and I do like my perfume bottles to look pretty and feminine. This one is round and flat, and one side is slightly faceted to make it look quite pretty and jewel like. J Lo's first scent, Glow, came in a bottle adorned with a necklace, and this one has a jewelled ring around the neck of the bottle, although it's just for show and not removable. I do like the pale dusky pink colour of the bottle though, although I'm not so keen on the small round lid which looks like it's not had a lot of thought put into it. So all in all I'm kind of undecided when it comes to the bottle - I can only say it's just OK.
According to a quick google search, the top notes of this perfume (the mix of fragrances you can smell when first sprayed) are pepper, mandarin, rice, apple and tea. For me personally, I think the only one of those I can smell is a crisp apple scent, although there's a slight sharpness to it, which perhaps comes from the zestiness of the mandarin. It's an incredibly fresh and light perfume, and if I had to compare it to any other fragrance on the market, I would say that it's similar to Clinique Happy, which is another fragrance I love.
The middle or heart notes of this fragrance are said to be honeysuckle, orange blossom, freesia, jasmine, lily of the valley and rose. I'm sure written down that seems like it would be quite a heady mix of florals, however although you do get a floral scent it isn't anywhere near as overpowering as it could be from having so many different flowers. I'm not brilliant at picking out the difference between different flower scents, but to me, the lily of the valley and the jasmine are the scents that really come out here. The scent retains a lightness to it, and the floral fragrance is feminine and surprisingly modern smelling.
The base notes of Still are Orris, Sandalwood, ambergris, musk and pepper. I do find that this is quite a long lasting fragrance, so it does take a while before the base notes begin to appear. I can smell a quite peppery tone to it, which is quite a warming scent, but it still smells quite feminine and girly, and the base is not too heavy.
I would definitely describe this as a day time scent, as it's a little bit too light to be an evening fragrance. I also think it's more suited to spring/summer than winter and I do find that I apply it more during the hot weather as I prefer something a little heavier for winter time.
I would say this is more suited to younger women, simply as while I could imagine my sisters who are in their twenties wearing this, I don't think my mother who is in her 50's would be so keen. Also I can't imagine my mother would wear a Jlo perfume, but like all fragrances these things are all down to personal taste.
The fragrance lasts a long time when on the skin - I'd say around six to seven hours before it needs to be re-applied.
Unfortunately this fragrance is very hard to get hold of in the shops, none of the big stores such as Boots seem to carry it any more, but it is widely available online. I normally get mine from www.cheapsmells.com where the prices are the following depending on the size:
30ml - £12.89
50ml - £16.05
100ml - £23.75
To conclude, I would have to say that I love this perfume. It has a light feminine scent, is great for day time wear and is perfect if you like fragrances that combine both fruity and floral elements.

STILL was targeted at the older woman, but due to the 'celeb' tag the intended audience passed it over & the younger generation zeroed in on it. The problem was that the younger customer didn't always appreciate STILL's qualities.
The main note here is Earl Grey. Not something I'd normally go for, but is it invigorating & clean. The white pepper, combined with the sake notes is nice & sharp, different but intriguing. To prevent STILL from being sour & bitter soft floral notes of freesia, honeysuckle, orange flower, rose & mild jasmine are combined in the middle notes. The sandalwood base naturally blends with all of the other notes & is subtle.

While the bottle itself is simple and classic, they've 'blinged' it up by giving the glass a fascasted look, like cut diamonds.
The ring arround the neck is removable and can be worn as jewellery.

I personally found STILL to be stronger then Jennifer Lopez's other fragrances & would recommend it for the autumn/winter months, or for evening in the spring/summer. A lovely alternative to today's usual fragrance market that I've not come across before or since.

STILL has been discontinued, but a few high street and online retailers still stock it in 50ml bottles for under £20.
I was first given Jennifer Lopez: Still, for Christmas about four years ago and it is the only perfume that i buy over and over again. Sometimes i wear it during the day but i always wear it when i go out - it is the only perfume that literally everyone i have ever come into contact with asks me what it is!
The light brown bottle the perfume comes in is neat and very unfussy which i love and the smell of the perfume is one i know i will never tire of. Its very sweet smelling, quite a fruity perfume and its absolutely gorgeous. The best thing about the perfume is that if you put it on in the morning before you go to work, you are still able to smell it when you return home. To be honest, the majority of my jackets and coats smell of this perfume as i wear it so often.
I have bought many perfumes over the years but this is my absolute favourite and to be honest i can't ever see anything knocking it off top spot for me.
I received this perfume for xmas. This perfume came as part of a gift box set including Jennifer Lopez Shower Wash. The Outer packaging has been kept fairly simple, which in my opinion makes it look classier then those over the top designs.
** Packaging **
I personally feel that the bottle that contains the perfume is the most important! It is contained in a nice bottle. It is round but it is also quite flat. The lid is a sphere and around the neck of the bottle is a ring with a jewel on it which is quite a nice feature, to me this makes it look slighlty elegant. The bottle is a brownish pink glass.
I personally find the simplicity of the bottle great. I have other perfumes by other celebs such as paris hilton, and i think they look appalling compared to this. It is not over the top and brightly coloured but a nice mauve almost dusty colour and the shape is not too big and fits perfectly in my bag! :)

The most important feature of course. . . The Perfume Inside! :)
This is my most favourite scent out of all my perfumes (quite a few). It is a Very sweet smell! .. Almost fruity & is definately for those who love to smell girly. I find that it also lasts for ages after applying it, which is brilliant as it means that I don't have to replace the bottle so often :)
This can be bought in the Perfume shop or shops that sell perfume such as Debenhams.
So, a lot of celebrities seem to think they all have what it takes to launch a successful perfume some of them do well or fail miserably like Paris Hilton. I am kind of getting sick with how many people are making one, they launch a singing career, clothing line then what do you know its a perfume. I will be honest and say I wasnt a fan of the first Jennifer Lopez perfume Glow I just didnt like something about the smell but I did however get a free sample of her next perfume Still and liked it so much that I went out and bought it and now I am going to tell you all about it.
Jennifer Lopez is someone who has pretty much done everything possible there is to get more money. She does have a successful clothing line and has had a successful singing career too so she is one of the few who has done it well. Her acting is ok but I dont think its what she is best at. She seems to have a love for fashion so I thought her perfume would be good. I hadnt heard many opinions on it before I picked up the sample so I wasnt really sure what to think of it.
The packaging is always a major factor to me when buying a perfume. It can sometimes be what catches my eye to the product because no one wants a plain bottle sitting there. The Still box is very plain it is basically a plain, glossy, beige box that in white text says Still then in brown says Jennifer Lopez. On the back it lists all of the ingredients so that anyone can see if they will be allergic to it. In some ways some people might call this box simple but classy but to me I think it is more of a case of lazy and hurried it could have had a nicer design to it so I tend to keep the bottle out of the box.
Now for the bottle design which is definitely what saves the packaging. Its a nice bottle very easy to hold it is round but like a disc because it is quite flat. The lid is a sphere and around the neck of the bottle is a ring with a jewel on it which is quite a nice touch. The bottle is a brownish pink glass and on the back still Jennifer Lopez is written but this is backwards so you turn it round and looking through the liquid you can see it properly so its quite nicely done. The glass you see the text through is all triangular so it is really nice when shone to the light.
The bottle design for this perfume is probably still quite simple to some but unlike the box I feel it has had some thought put into it and it is a very classy design. It is not over the top and brightly coloured but a nice mauve almost dusty colour and the shape is not too big to old but fits perfectly in the palm of my hand.
My first impressions of the smell were that it smelled quite sweet almost fruity. Pushing down the spray top it lets out quite a lot in one spray so that you can really take in the smell. I think its one of those fragrances when it isnt really easy to slot it into one part of the day. I think it could be used for daytime or evening as it isnt too light or heavy but somewhere in between. This all depends on yourself as a person of course.
So spraying the perfume I would still definitely describe it as a fruity fragrance. It is quite mild so one spray should really be enough or maybe two to keep it on. Its hard to distinguish what the base scents of this fragrance are. I would say it was for someone feminine who wanted to stand out and be different, it isnt like Tommy Hilfiger perfumes which I would say were light refreshing and for daytime, this isnt so much refreshing but sweet.
Since I was having trouble really picking out what the true scents of this fragrance were, I decided to look it up. I was quite surprised it is white pepper, sandalwood, musk with freesia and rose. It is not what I would instantly refer to as a spicy scent but the ingredients would make me think otherwise. So overall it is a natural but blossomy scent.
Staying power is another important quality of a perfume because if I have to reapply it always I feel that I have not gotten value for money. With Still Id say that using it once in the morning generally lasts all day so that you do not have to take it with you. It is not an overpowering fragrance at all but one that sticks and will not fade throughout the day so I definitely felt that I had paid for something worthwhile.
I would say this perfume was aimed more at a younger market although it does have the sophistication, it is a youthful, fun scent and being so sweet I wouldnt think a woman of an older age would really appreciate this particular scent.
Still, like most perfumes nowadays comes in the usual 30ml, 50ml and 100ml sizes. I bought mine at 50ml which is actually still a big size and I got mine at Boots. It is an eau de parfum so this would explain why it stays longer because they are usually heavier. At the moment http://www.strawberrynet.com are strangely selling the 50ml and 100ml at the same price of £26.50, hmmmm wonder what one most will go for? It is a special offer though so it wont last long but its a really good discount.
The set would not be complete if there were no other products offered. There is a body lotion in this collection as well as a shower gel. There is also a set where you can buy the perfume and body lotion together. I have not used the body lotion or shower gel but judging by experience of other perfume sets where I have used ones, they are usually really nice. The body lotion comes as a 150ml and a 200ml a does the shower gel. The shower gel is £11 for the 150ml and £12.50 for the 200ml. The body lotion is £16.50 for 200ml and £13 for the 150ml. These are as usual quite pricey and I would probably only buy them every once in a while.
This perfume can be bought at any good department store. When buying mine at Boots I got a really pretty bag with it and last time I was in Boots there was a nice summer bag as a free gift in conjunction with any Jennifer Lopez purchase so now is a good time to buy.
