      Pina colada in a bottle!

I was given this perfume last year as a gift from my sister. This is a perfume I hadn't heard much about at the time. I'd been searching for a scent that complimented my body chemistry and that I received compliments on from others. To my surprise this low-key fragrance seemed to do the trick. This seems to be the quieter more subtle "little sister" to JLO's Miami Glow and I smell alot of similarities in the two fragrances; although Miami Glow was a bit too sweet which put me off a bit. Sunkissed Glow is a great alternative if you enjoy softer more subtle fragrances that add to your natural skin scent rather than over-power it.

First off, I'll describe the packaging. JLO Sunkissed Glow is in the signature JLO bottle which tends to remind you of the curves of a woman. The bottle is a light peach and green tint with sea shells wrapped about the top. The packaging does have a laid-back beachy and relaxing feel that really matches the fragrance.

At first whiff I smell coconut and maybe pineapple or some sort of tropical fruit which dries down with hints of coconut mixed with a light woodsy scent. I'm not really a fan of coconut or woods but somehow the smell really works for me. This scent truly does make me think of relaxing under an umbrella with friends oceanside sipping pina coladas. Yumm....

This is a very soft, feminine, relaxing and sweet fragrance that I tend to get lots of compliments on. This is light enough to be worn as a day time perfume. However, I actually like to wear this on date nights because it is both relaxing and romantic without being over-powering.

Another plus is this isn't an extremely popular fragrance so people never are really able to guess what fragrance it is and I feel unique wearing it. This is definately a keeper!!! There's just a subtle sexiness in this perfume that I love!

The only draw-back to this perfume that I can think of is it doesn't have staying power. The scent seems to wear off after only a couple hours of wear. I tend to re-spritz often when I'm wearing this fragrance. Also, I find if difficult to find this fragrance which probably contributes to is uniqueness.

This is the closest to a Pina Colada in a bottle you can get!

      .

I have tried a few J Lo Perfumes, and they are all nice. They don't smell that expensive or that, but they are a nice simple, clean and usually fruity smelling Perfume. They are averagely priced so you do sort of get what you are paying for.

The last time I bought a bottle of this was about 6 months ago and I still have a little bit left. This isn't because I don't like the Perfume, it's because I have so many bottles of Perfume that I use that they all get a shot of being used.

Looking at the price online it seems to be more expensive now. I'm sure I got the 30ml bottle of this out of Savers for about £12, but I see online it sells for around £16 with apparently a recommended retail price of £21. You can get this in a 50ml bottle as well, which i'm sure is usually around £18.

The box for this is nice enough. It is a sort of metallic box and I think it looks sultry but sort of summery. The bottle looks nice. It looks like the Dooyoo picture, and is a nice shape with the nice colourings on the bottle and a kind of chain design hanging down the front of the bottle.

So how would I describe this scent? It seems to be a Grapefruit scent which has a slight sparkling light white floral scent mixed through and it smells a bit like an Amber scent mixed through as well. There seems to be a few more Citrus scents through this as well, but it is more the Grapefruit scent that you can smell through this.

After this settles and warms to the skin it is a lovely scent. It lasts a good lenght of time but although it doesn't last as long as a more expensive scent but it does just fine for the price it is.

Probably 1 of my favourite J Lo scents and worth a try if you like Citrus smelling Perfumes.

A great every-day fragrance for summer

The majority of my reviews are based around cosmetics and fragrances.
It's been like that since I joined DooYoo though; I don't want to be seen as someone who is only doing it for the sake of getting more miles per review.

      Friendly warning

Even though a lot of the scent notes here are the same as Miami Glow, if that's what you're looking for, you won't find it here.

      The fragrance

SUNKISSED GLOW opens with typical summer-editions fruity burst of Lilt-like pineapple and grapefruit. But unlike most competitors, the notes aren't sweet. It's quite refreshing and very wearable. What a relief. Who wants to wear a sweet scent when it's hot and sticky outside?

I love the original Glow, so it's the heart and drydown of this that really appeals to me. The soft florals and skin musk are similar to the original; very clean, almost soapy. But SUNKISSED GLOW is much milder and closer to the skin, so if you're not a fan of the original, still give this a try - it's much more subtle. Perfect for a casual, everyday fragrance.

Pineapple juice, red grapefruit, beach flower, hot sand, water lily, amber, skin musk, cashmere wood, passion flower, cassis sorbet and orange blossom.

      The bottle

The classic GLOW bottle graduates from orange to green - very pretty. The bottle's neck is decorated with a wearable bracelet; a lovely touch.

      Other buying considerations
      - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

This is a spring/summer fragrance only - the zingy fruits and skin musk just don't work in the colder months.

It's fine for daytime wear, but is too quiet for evening use.

This is a EDT made for hotter weather; So the scent notes are light, making the staying power poor. You'll need to top up every two hours or so.

      My opinion
      - - - - - - - - - - - -

I suffer from migraines so go for lighter fragrances in summer, so I really like how they have made this edition to the Glow family light to match the fact that it is a 'Beach scent'. I also like how it actually does contain elements of the original Glow; A lot of flankers share a best-selling name, but nothing else.

It is becoming hard to find on the high street, but is still widely available over the internet. Cheapsmells.com is especially recommended by me.
