Jennifer Lopez Live Eau de Parfum
by Missfisher92
When you use this perfume this will open your eyes to what a real perfume is!
So, the packaging?
The box is neat and I think the best thing about it is that there is no wastage. The bottle fits perfectly in the box. As well as not wasting cardboard this box is very colourful and nice again the box reflects the femininity of the ... perfume.
How attractive is the bottle?
The bottle is the most attractive perfume bottle that I have ever seen. With a swirly broken pattern it's very pretty. Within the spaces of the pattern, there is a hint of transparent colour including purples, yellows and greens. The lid of the bottle is not a typical lid, it's a transparent green ball. This bottle is definitely unique.
Most importantly, the smell!
Oh wow, the smell of this perfume is almost edible. As well as being a beautiful fragrance, it has a very long lifespan within the bottle. You can spray this on in the morning and you will still be able to smell it before you go to bed, it really does have staying power.
Ingredients:
Caramel
Tonka beans
Sandalwood
Sweet pineapple
Italian orange
Red currant
Peony and violet
Sicilian lemon
So you can expect this perfume to be beautiful. This is well and truly one of my favourite perfumes. I have nothing bad to say about it. Read the complete review |

Jennifer Lopez Glow by J.Lo Eau de Toilette
by karlsm93
Every year at the end of November, start of December, I meet up with a good friend of mine and we exchange our Christmas gifts. Usually I wait until Christmas day to open it, but this year, the gift bag that she had given me the gift in, had come apart at the top and she told me just to open it. One of the gifts that she had put in was ... this Jennifer Lope Glow Eau de Toilette, which I have seen retail anywhere between a tenner and twenty pounds for the likes of the 30ml bottle that I received.
Although I had never been given a bottle of this spray before, I certainly had seen it on the shelves of the fragrance areas. THis eau de toilette is marketed as being 'fresh, sexy and clean'. To be honest, I'm not sure that description would have made me purchase a bottle myself. Top notes are orange flower, grapefruit and citrus, with middle notes of rose, sandalwood and amber with base notes of jasmine, vanilla, musk and iris.
In terms of styling of the product, I wouldn't be enticed by either the packaging or the actual bottle, both of which are rather bland in my opinion. THere are definitely much nicer looking fragrances out there.
The perfume itself was originally put on the market in 2002 and is one of many when it comes to fragrances by JLo This particular fragrance is meant to be worn predominately as a day fragrance and I can see how that would be the case. It certainly wouldn't be a choice for me for an evening out, as I simply don't think it is strong enough to make a statement when out for the night.
On applying this fragrance I would say there is a lightness about it. It is a fresh scent so it is very pleasant and not something that takes time for you to tolerate. It is a subtle fragrance in my opinion, which is why, again, I think it is better suited to daytime than evening. This is also a femininity about this fragrance which makes it a nice choice and I do like it, however, I would say that of all the fragrances that I have owned and currently have in my small collection, this is just middle of the road. Before I finished work for the holidays, I would have used this fragrance, but I didn't feel that it lasted a long time. Yes, it smelt fresh and feminine in the morning but I have nicer fragrances and this wouldn't be the one that I would reach for first if I'm honest. THat said, there is nothing terribly wrong with this product given the price, especially if it is at the cheaper end of the price scale, I just am not overwhelmed by it. Read the complete review |

Jennifer Lopez Glow by J.Lo Eau de Toilette
by kat1234
I purchased this Glow by J.Lo eau de toilette a few years ago now. I don't generally purchase 'celebrity' scents as I find that these are usually over priced and often not that nice either. However, I had a sample of this and it seemed quite nice and, despite not really being a fan of Jennifer Lopez, I decided to make the purchase. ... This was the first scent by J.Lo (who has since added a few more to the collection) and, at the time, was around £20. A 100ml of the Eau de Toilette can now be purchased for £11-£15, which is pretty good value. It was first out in 2002 and marketed at women in their late teens and early twenties.
The fragrance comes is a thick glass bottle, which is cloudy to look at. It is round at the bottom (although has a flat base so stand independently) and draws up into a very thin neck with a spray nozzle on top (with a plastic cap over). Through the bottle you can see the perfume which is a light peach colour. There is a bizarre necklace-typr-thing draped around the bottle with a blingy JLo at the end. For me, this is unecessary and cheapens the look of the whole thing.
The notes in this fragrance are neroli, pink grapefruit, rose, sandalwood, amber, musk, jasmine, iris and vanilla. For me, it is quite a 'clean', floral scent. It is light and subtle and quite refreshing - I find it a lovely holiday scent as it is soft and light in the heat rather than being overpowering or sickly. It is slightly 'soapy' and I do understand why people may not like this because of that but it certainly doesn't bother or offend me. I am actually quite surprised at the list of notes here as I would have thought there would definitely be more floral notes - e.g. lily - as it smells so strongly floral. I am impressed with the longevity of the scent too. I usually spray this a couple of times in the morning and it is still detectable, albeit not as strong, by the evening. I actually prefer the scent when it starts to wear off a little - it becomes even more subtle and softer.
Overall, this is a nice floral scent for a good price. It is certainly one of the better 'celebrity' endorsed fragrances that I have come across and I would definitely recommend this scent as quite versatile. I prefer this as an everyday perfume but it wouldn't be out of place for an evening either - it is just personal preference. Read the complete review |
