I got this for a Christmas present last year. I had never heard of this brand before and although the bottle looks pretty enough and does look expensive in my view, I think if the bottle looked a bit cheaper or not so fancy then I would expect this would have been quite a cheap brand.
This was in a large dusky pink coloured box with the lettering in simple on the front. Nothing all that fancy. The bottle is like the picture on Dooyoo. A lovely heart shaped bottle which is a pretty thick glass. The colouring is a light pink tinge and although this is wider at the top it is still easy enough to hold. It's flat on the bottom so it stands fine. Perhaps the lid could have been a little bit fancier, but it's alright.
I looked online for the price of this and the 50ml costs around £27-£30. You can also get this in a 75ml bottle and the price of this is around £37-£41 I have found.
So how does this smell? Well according to the blurb this is aromatic, Seductive and Romantic. The notes that are in here are Pear, Pepper, Coriander, Iris, Musk, Rose, Cedar and Tonka Bean.
After spraying this it does smell quite heavy and I found that 2 squirts of this was enough for me to get a good scent of this. I found that this got fainter kind of quickly, but it still seemed pretty strong for the next hour, then it got fainter. You can always spray more than 2 squirts though anyway, but that was just my preference. I still sprayed this later on in the afternoon to freshen up.
Would I buy this for myself? I could do. The scent of this was nice enough and it was a more grown up scent than what I thought it would be, but there is a lot of nicer scents out there that I like more than this. All the notes mix together well, and it does make for a nice Perfume, but you can get a nicer scent for a bit cheaper in my view.
Would make a nice looking present through as the bottle is lovely.
This fragrance, so I am told, is the first to be created by the daughter of the designer, Joop. Jette Joop has created an unusual fragrance with this one.
Jette Joop was bought for me as a birthday present by my sister-in-law and brother. It was packaged, along with matching toiletries, in an attractive presentation box. Sometimes I think that I appreciate the boxes more than the actual scent!
I can't quite make up my mind about this one. I like it but don't love it. When first applying I find it too strong. However, after about ten minutes or so, I find the aroma softens and becomes more pleasant. It is quite a smooth sensual scent, which I think would appeal to many females. I admit that I don't think I would buy this one for myself, although as a gift it isn't unwelcome. Also, I do like to try new scents. It does seem to be a scent that can 'grow on one' and it is different from many scents, making it a welcome addition to ones perfume collection.
I was actually surprised at how long this lasted. I thought it would be light weight on first applying, and another one that lasted for an hour or two and then needed to be reapplied. But no, it doesn't. It surprised me, and remained detectable for some hours. I will also say that, for me, the smell continues to improve greatly as it is worn.
I would definitely choose to wear this more as an evening fragrance than daytime, due to it being strong and sensuous.
At first, when I was given this perfume I considered it as one for the young girls but, on becoming accustomed to its scent I have changed my mind. I am now of the opinion that Jette Joop is suitable for all ages to wear and particularly for that special occasion.
Joop Jette is said to be 'aromatic seductive and romantic' So, what goes into it to achieve this?
It has notes of coriander, pear, pepper, iris, rose, musk, Tonka bean & cedar.
Mine came in a mauve box and I found this an attractive gift. If purchasing the eau de Toilette on its own then it will be packaged in a mauve box with white and some gold lettering.
The bottle itself is a nice, simple but pretty design. Its almost heart shaped but extends outwards to the front. The lid has a silver collar and the stopper is mauve to match the liquid which can be seen through the glass bottle.
The shape of the bottle makes it handy to take out in a handbag.
