With a name like pear and freesia then we can pretty much guess what the fragrance is going to be about. It comes out of the bottle as splash scent as opposed to a dispenser, I was a little concerned as I am better at applying my perfume as a fine mist but I soon got used to dabbing it onto the designated areas! I think the first thing I noticed was just how light and refreshing this fragrance was, really gentle and so beautiful, not at all overpowering and this is just how I like my fragrances to be. When it comes to the Jo Malone brand I have to be honest and I thought for some time that all it offered was scented candles, and rather expensive ones at that! I happened to see when looking for a cheaper version that they also offered a number of different perfumes as well and seeing as I have a massive obsession with perfumes I was keen to see what they offered and as I was with a friend when discussing this she was very sweet and brought me a bottle for my birthday, the bottle that I got was the English Pear and Freesia and I have to say that I was really impressed, here are my thoughts. I suffer from sensitive skin, with the one thing guaranteed to cause an eczema flare-up being perfume. For this reason I suspect I have owned less than twenty bottles of perfume in my life, and the majority of those would fall under the classification of 'unwanted (and unworn) gifts'. This Jo Malone cologne was certainly not unwanted, however, and the fragrance is one which doesn't irritate my skin so I am happy to wear it for as long as this comfortable state continues.
