I was in the market for a new fragrance so visited the Perfume Shop in Braehead, perhaps the least inventive name for a shop since Poundland. I sampled a few of their products and decided on Joop! Go which was the nicest smelling within my budget.
It seems like a sort of woody resin smell with a hint of lilac. Quite sweet but not sickly like honey.
It's usually gone by the time the evening is over having put it on just before you go out; not much of a problem unless you leave the house early to go for lunch and a show before your night out.
It comes in a nicely shaped clear hourglass-like bottle, with Joop! Go written in black and white letters on the front and an exclamation mark engraved into the other side visible through the green coloured fragrance. The cap is a silver-coloured metal with what appears to be a dandelion engraved on the upper surface. See the pictures for a better representation of its look.
I purchased the 100ml bottle for £19.99 which was a reasonable price compared with the vastly expensive other eau de toilette products on offer in The Perfume Shop.
I would say that this product gives you value for money and I would certainly purchase it again as it seems good at a fairly low price.
This cologne is a cracker. It might not be the most manly or the most sophisticated of smells but that doesn't mean it should be overlooked. It isn't the most expensive either so you can usually pick it up for cheaper than it's rrp. The smell reminds me of summer and is so fruity and fun! The girlfriend loves this one, she's clinging on to my neck like a koala. The smell stays for a good while aswell.
I work on a bar and after an 8 hour shift with lots of people's smells coming and going, she can still smell Joop when I come home.
This eau de toilette is not for everyone. It is maybe aimed at a younger crowd, and therefore lacks a certain manliness or sophistication, but it still smells really really good and is a good addition to your collection, even just for a change one day. The bottle is fairly big aswell!
I think it's fair to say that the Joop range don't really represent your typical male line of fragrances. Visually, the bright and vivid packaging stands out from the competition on the shelf, the colour of the fragrance continues the luminous assault on the senses, and the scents involved further this impression. This isn't the most subtle of fragrances you'll come across, but that's not to say it's lacking in charm.
I have to say, first impressions of the product didn't raise my expectations too high - the bottle is a simple affair, with a plastic lid which doesn't really scream high-class. The fragrance, though, is better - a sniff gives you a fresh, fruity scent that's rather sweeter than most men's products, but not in an entirely negative way. It's light and spicy, with definite citric edges to it - it smells like orange zest with hints of lime and grapefruit, something slightly bitter alongside the initial sweetness.
On application, it's fairly strong, but the smell mellows, and becomes fairly appealing. The fruitiness is still there, but is balanced out by softer, deeper notes, and the fragrance lingers nicely for several hours - it's perhaps not the best for applying in the morning and lasting all day; I find the results fade after a while.
I'm in two minds about the Joop range, really. They're better than they appear at first glance, with a nice blend of scents making up a pretty pleasing whole. On the other hand, they're still a little too light, bright and sweet for me - I prefer earthier, subtler fragrances. That said, I'm sure there's a market out there that they will appeal to. I wouldn't buy another Joop product, but I will use up this one.
I first tried Joop go about three years ago. My uncle got this for me for christmas! I opened the box and was delighted to see this funky bottle! It looked brilliant, I sprayed some on me straight away and from that moment onwards, it became my favourite fragrance by far! I haven't looked back since and I think I am on my 7/8th bottle.
Joop go has such a summery scent, it's not at all womanly, it very manly! It's really refreshing and you can smell it on you all day. I hate other fragrances which tend to just fade away after a few hours, this will last all day and give you a nice approachable smell! The best thing about Joop go is the fact that it isn't overpowering, it smells great is not going to put people off you. You only need a small spray to smell good. There is no need to spray and spray all over you. Just a small spritz and your good to go. The bottles last a long time. I tend to buy the smaller bottle because you can get a better deal online. I got mine for 12.99 which I was rather pleased about. I tend to buy this when I go abroad though, it's cheaper with no duty on it and tend to buy 2 bottles every year from Mallorca.
I am so glad that I found something I like so much. I didn't even choose it for myself in the first place, so I'm lucky my uncle made a good choice. This would make a great present for any guy. I know quite a few people that use it. Since trying Joop go I have had a look at all the other Joop products and they all smell really good. The good thing about Joop as a brand is that all there products smell completely different. It's worth a try giving them all a smell because you may fall in love with them.
The bottle for Joop go looks great! It's got a sliver lid and a huge exclamation mark though the word go. I love the design and it looks great in my room. It looks much better than other fragrance bottles I have. This product seriously deserves more appraisal because it's so nice!!
The price of the product ranges from £12 to £40 online so have a shop around, some high street stores where having offers on this not so long ago. SuperDrug had the large bottle for £20 on sale last year, so you never know, you may find a bargain out there. Honestly it's worth the money
Summer is on the way, so give this a go. You will love it and so will everyone who smells you :)

Joop Go, Eau de toilette spray is a great fragrance for the summer in my opinion.
I was first introduced to the Joop brand in the form of Joop Homme many years ago, after my mum got it for me as a christmas present. I grew tired of the deep winter woody smell of the original Joop Homme fragrance a while ago, but still kept getting the odd bottle off my mum for my birthday, until she surprised me with a bottle of Joop Go, and I made sure I made a big deal about it, so that she would always get me the Joop Go fragrance in the future.
These Joop fragrances were founded by a German fashion designer named Wolfgang Joop in 1987, who branced into fragrances after several years of selling designer clothing ranges under the same name - Joop.
Joop Go comes in a nice bright green cardboard box, and inside the box is a tall, slim, clear glass bottle which contains the fragrance.
Joop in general seem to like the fragrances to be coloured in extremely bold colours, and Joop Go is no exception to the trend, as it shines through the clear glass bottle with it's bright green solution looking very tempting and inviting. The bottle has a nice silver top on it, which smoothly pulls off to reveal the silver spray mechanism.
The scent of the fragrance is very fresh and fruity which makes it ideal for wearing in the summer in my opinion. It opens with top notes of rhubarb, pimento and bitter orange, blending into a heart of cypress, violet and bourbon geranium, atop a smooth base of musk and balsam fir. This might sound a bit feminine to some, and it does smell fruity and very floral, but in a kind of masculine way!
I find that the scent, although very fresh and fruity at first does not last as long as might have been expected, especially if compared to the original Joop Homme, which hangs around forever! I often find that the scent of Joop Go is difficult to detect after a few hours of wearing it, which is a little disappointing.
In terms of price, Joop Go generally retails at approx £25:00 - £30:00 for a 75ml EDT, with the 50ml EDT generally costing around the £20:00 region.
Joop also have a large range of fragrances available including:
As well as fragrances, Joop also produce shower gels and shaving balms in the above scents.

I use this scent actually quite a while, I think about 3 years. The sweet, yet fresh fragrance fits me I think.
The Eau de Toilette comes in a box of about 11 cm high, 5 cm wide and 3.5 cm deep. The background color is (light) green and has a sort of metallic look. You have the brand name of the package with the product name, the contents and ingredients. The bottle itself is quite thick from the outside and is transparent which is also a plus point so you can see how much you have left. The cap is silver and easy to take of so you can use the spray which gives you the right amount.
The brand indicates that the scent has oranges, geranium and berries in it and I must admit that this combination creates a delicious exotic fragrance. It is a sweet, yet still reasonably fresh scent. It is fresh because I think due the oranges. I like it very nice for spring and summer. The smell is not too strong or too heavy, but I have to admit that over time the smell becomes a lot less strong. I sometimes spray in the middle of the day again. Compared with Joop! Jump (which I have) this fragrance is lighter, softer, less spicy and a lot cooler. The color of the liquid (light) green and has a fresh look.
As I said, I am very happy with this fragrance and I will definitely continue to use this. The sweet, yet fresh fragrance suits me and I find the product worth the money. It is a modern fragrance that I think many young men will like. I can recommend the product to every man and definitely give this product 5 stars! The fragrance comes for a price of 32 pounds which you will get a bottle of 50ml.
I think I was first attracted to this fragrance by the bright, eye-catching packaging - there are a number of different Joop! fragrances, and this one, after trying them all, seemed to have the most interesting and appealing smell. It comes in a bright green box, as shown above, and the bottle is similar - this isn´t the most attractive bottle I´ve seen, but the green tint to the fragrance itself looks good, and the exclamation mark embossed on the back of the glass looks good and is a bit different. The top pops easily off and is easy to replace.
The smell is a very strong one at first, one that´s something like spicy fruit. It´s very distinctive and it makes a strong impression, although it´s possibly a little too strong, so you really don´t need to put on much unless you want everyone complaining! A short, single spray is enough to create a nice smell that can last all day. After the first impression of strong, heavy smells that are quite pungent and rich, it settles down into a softer, more gentle fragrance that´s nicer than the first one.
I´ve had this fragrance for over two years now, and it´s still going strong - although I only use it a couple of times a week, there´s still tons left, and I think I´ll get plenty of use out of it. I bought it as part of a gift set for thirty-five pounds, so it came with a shower gel which I didn´t really like so much, as it was just the first smells of the fragrance, and smelt really strongly of chemicals. So, if you have the choice, I would only buy the fragrance.
Overall, this is a good product with a nice, different smell and attractive looks. It´d look interesting in a cabinet or on a shelf with other bottles. If I was going shopping for a new fragrance today, I wouldn´t buy this one, but I would look at the other Joop! fragrances to try to find something similar but a little different. I would recommend this product to those who don´t want to spend too much on an interesting fragrance.
I have always been a great fan of Joop products with the original spray being one of my favourites alongside Jean Paul Gautier for men.
I was bought a Joop go gift said last christmas which contained eau de toilette spray so was really pleased.
I was a bit hesistant at first, thinking that it would not be as nice as the original spray but in all honesty I was pleasantly suprised, it smelt very simular but in all honesty not as strrong with a tinge of woodbine scent and is very fruity which complemented it very well.
The ottle size is 50ml and cost £40 for the whole gift set but bought alone you will be paying in the region of £20, a very god price for a top notch spray.
The spray comes in a green bottle with a silver spray lid, Joops logo is finely printed on the bottle which is an exclamation mark.
I have been complemented when wearing this product on many occasions and always used to get the same with the original Joop.
I wear this spray out on the town mostly but it can be worn in the day too but can be a bit over the top if you use too much and pricey if worn too frequently.
I was lucky enough to try Joop go and I have to admit it is in my top 3 all time eau de toilette. Well done Joop, another fantastic product.
Ok bear in mind I am a woman writing this review with the help of her husband that is. I bought it for his lordship one Valentines day as a change from the standard Joop (red bottle). I have to say it smells delicious, very light and fruity with an undertone wood. It is a pleasant, summery smell although quite sweet for a masculine fragrance.
I would say its not a classic in waiting although is very good as a quirky type smell but not as a serious smell if that makes sense. Its not the most groundbreaking smell on the planet either but if all you want is something okish then you could do worse than choosing this.
As for the looks well the jolly rancher style acid green makes this one of the less sophisticated packagings, the bottle inside is fairly average although again the contents are luminous green and this is somewhat off putting reminding you of nuclear waste whilst you are preparing to spray it on your skin.
All in all fairly average but does smell nice on him!
I was told by a friend to try Joop! Go aftershave, I was a bit hesistant at first though, because I like very few aftershaves! However I finally got round to go and try it out and I just love it. No matter where I'm going I always spray a bit of Joop! Go onto me; and I always seem to get compliments! It's not very overpowering, it's just the right mix of fruitiness and masculinity you'd want. I'm onto my third bottle of it now, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is trying to look for a change from their old aftershave. It comes in an easy to use bottle and the price is very reasonable, I was expecting something in the range of £30-£40 but I was pleasantly surprised when it was only £23! What a bargain for such a great smelling product - It's a must have.
Joop! Go is an amazing fragrance for men, smells really nice. I got the 50ml bottle from the Perfume Shop 3 months ago for £27. I have worn it a lot of times, sometimes I'll spray it multiple times a day.
The bottle is shaped like a inwards curved square with a exclamation mark on the front of the bottle and has green coloured liquid inside (green is the marketing theme I guess).
The fragrance smells very very fruity and refreshing, kind of like a sweet apple. I recommend wearing this during the day or a night out, since you can get a lot of comments on it, as well as people coming up to you asking for the name. My girlfriend loves the smell so it's a win for me lol. I am going to buy another bottle soon and have been one of my favourite since I got it.
I recommend everyone to get this or smell a tester first you will not regret it so go get yourself one or as a gift for someone else.
On a recent expedition into town I visited my local Boots store and as I was taking my usual peek at the mens fragrance area I spotted this Joop Eau De Toilette around the other fragrances from Joop. I was attracted to the bottle As it was a nice bright green. Once I had taken it off the shelf and sprayed a little I was overcome with a smile as I really liked this fragrance.
This fragrance was released in time for summer 2007 and was marketed as a summery fruity fragrance that is versatile and sweet smelling. I certainly agree with those aims. I'm sure you have all heard of the Joop range. I have had a range of fragrances from Tommy Hilfiger, Lacoste and Giorgio Armani in the past and have never owned a bottle of any Joop fragrance but that is probably set to change with this new fragrance.
As you can read from the dooyoo synopsis of this fragrance it has hints of oranges and berries, these two smells blend together to create a fresh smelling fragrance that is both woody and light in stages. For me this is the best smelling Joop I have smelt and it is certainly on my list for my next fragrances to buy.
This is a great summery fragrance but it also has the kind of smell that is right at home at any time of the year which is a great thing to have about a fragrance. The stylish Joop bottle is one of the most enticing I have seen recently and really intrigues you to have a smell of the Joop Go fragrance.
A good thing about this fragrance is that You can buy Joop Go in many sizes as you can do with most other fragrances around. Joop Go comes in 50ml, 75ml and 100ml bottles and you can expect to pay around £30 for the 100ml bottle and around £17 for the 50ml bottle. These prices vary depending on where you buy them from but I would say look for the best price before you but a bottle.
I would recommend this fragrance for anyone who has been a fan of Joop fragrances before or anyone new who likes to wear light woody fragrances that give a great long lasting smell whatever the situation. This will have the ladies flocking to wiff you when you are in a club and will get your mates saying "what is that fragrance you're wearing, I want some".
This for me is the best Joop fragrance and is certainly going to be one of my next fragrances when I next take a trip to my local Boots store or there are some great deals on ebay so I might get a bottle of this on there. Either way I will be getting a great smelling fragrance that will last a long time. Next week I will have my own bottle of Joop Go.
Fruity top notes of blood orange amd berries mingle with masculine woody notes to create a scent that is brimming with confidence and vitality /
