The perfume contains notes of orange blossom, forget-me-nots, pink pepper, lily of the valley, heliotrope, magnolia, peony and rose with a bse of patchouli, sandalwood, musk. Quite a complicated smell which would explain when asked to describe the smell, you'll be at a complete loss. I received this perfume about a month ago as a birthday present from my boyfriends mother. I always find that other people tend to buy better smelling perfumes for me than i do for myself, so i was thrilled. This perfume smells absolutely divine, and the smell doesn't just wear off in the first ten minutes. I've received compliment after compliment for how i smell when i wear this, its one of those perfume advert situations where you walk past a group of people and they all start discussing the smell (this only happened once, and it was while i was walking through a lecture.)
If i had to have a complaint about this product, it would have to be the size of the bottle. I have the 30ml bottle as it was part of a gift set, and it really wont last me long. I cant help but put some on every time i go into the bathroom, however the small bottle is a useful size to keep in your bag so you can smell gorgeous wherever you go. Honestly one of the best perfumes i have ever come across, however i think this is more popular among a younger generation.
I have used this perfume for years, ever since it came out in 2007 and it is one of my personal favorites. I first got this for my 16th birthday back in 2007, I already knew that this was a good perfume because I tried testers in the shops and it had this gorgeous fresh, sexy everyday smell without being too over the top or trying too hard. I only got the 30 ml bottle, but you can get this in 50 ml and 75 ml.
The presentation of the bottle is really pretty as it is pink, which is quite a girly color, the box is also a pink but has this black rose to give it this rock-chic effect, which describes Kate Moss' fashion style and personality. Also the rose represents what the product is about, everyday wear, fresh perfume.
The perfume itself is great for everyday occasions from going to work, going out with friends for lunch, an afternoon date with that hot guy you've had your eyes on for ages (pretty sure he will be head over heels for you over this perfume!) or if you want to wear a perfume as an everyday thing. This choice of perfume is perfect for those occasions.
The scent of this perfume is probably my personal favorite as it has this fresh, floral scent with is actually long lasting too. Also if you have the 30 ml bottle, it is great handbag size and will not take up a lot of room in your handbag. If you do buy this perfume, buy a box set where you can get the body lotion and if you apply this with the perfume, it will make it even more long lasting and the lotion smells just as gorgeous as the perfume, and the contrast with the two is amazing!
You can get this perfume, quite cheap now for about £20 for a 75 ml bottle and about £10 for a 30 ml bottle, as this product has been out for quite a while now, so that's why it is cheaper than what it used to be when it first came out. You can get this product from Savers, Boots, Superdrug, TX Max, all in the price range of £10-£20.
If you were to buy an everyday perfume, I would personally choose this one because you will not be disappointed by the smell, it has great value for money and is long lasting, but most importantly great handbag size!
I don't normally go in for celebrity perfumes but I tried a tester of the first Kate Moss perfume - simply called 'Kate' when I was in Boots and thought it smelled quite nice. Boots were actually selling a gift set including this a 30ml bottle of the EDT spray and a large tube of body lotion for around just £11
When I got home though, I kept thinking about it and ended up ordering the set online.! Really at that price, it would have been rude not to!
I say this in most perfume reviews I write, but I do think the bottle is a very important part of the perfume. I love classy, elegant perfume bottles, and I actually think that for a realtively cheap, celebrity perfume, this bottle is really nice. If any of you have seen the bottle Kerry Katona's fragrance comes in, you will know just how wrong it can go - although let's face it, what would you expect from Kerry Katona?
Anyway, this bottle is clear glass with a quite art deco style black lid, I actually think it's a lovely bottle.
The fragrance of this perfume is lovely. I don't really know what I would have expected from Kate Moss - perhaps something a bit heavy and 'Rock Chick' but this is a very delicate, floral and feminine fragrance.
The perfume contains lily of the valley,, which as you can imagine makes it very floral. I don't mind floral, but I do think when you mix too many flowery scents it can be a bit too much.
This in contrast has a beautifully soft scent - and one of the main fragrances that stands out for me is the rose.
The scent is also slightly warm and I would say that it's more suited to daytime wear than night time, as personally I'd prefer something a little heavier for evening wear.
As for staying power, I've found that this fragrance starts to fade slightly after around three to four hours, so you will need to top it up a couple of times throughout the day.
As I mentioned I got this together with a tube of body lotion for just £11 from Boots, however if you buy this on it's own Boots sell it for £20.55 which is a bit strange! That's for the 30ml, however it also comes in 50ml and 100ml sizes.
Overall, I was very impressed by this. If I hadn't tried it in the shop I don't think I would have been convinced it was very nice, but I think this is a perfect day time fragrance- very light, feminine and floral without being too heady or overpowering. Well done Kate!
I was aware that Kate Moss had bought a perfume out but to be honest, it wasn't a perfume that I would have gone out of my way to buy. However, while browsing through the perfume section on eBay, I came across a 30ml bottle of Kate Moss perfume - simple called Kate for the price of £3.54 with 30 seconds left so I decided to place a bid! I won the perfume for £4.04 which I thought was very reasonable.
Kate is the first perfume to be released by Kate Moss. This fragrance was launched in the autumn of 2007. According to the website, this perfumes "captures her many facets & lifetime experiences staying true to her inner self & personality". It is also meant to echo "Kate's charismatic, seductive and sensual beauty while hinting at her edgy, sometimes wild approach to life."
This perfume comes in a light pink, quite feminine box which is decorated with a black rose. The words Kate Moss are written in lower case writing across the box. The perfume botrtle itself is clear glass and the perfume inside is a rose colour which gives the impression that the bottele is also a rose colour.which is tinted a rose colour but still see through. The lid of the bottle is black and the words Kate Moss are written on the bottle too.
Obviously I only paid £4.04 for my bottle of this perfume but I have had a look online and have found this perfume is available at www.fragranconline.co.uk for the following prices:
30ml - £11.99
50ml - £15.66
100ml - £21.53
I have to say, I am now a very big fan of this perfume. It has a delightful mix of sweet and woody tones, giving the perfume a really distinctive yet still feminine smell. Kate contains lily of the valley, rose, magnolia, heliotrope and peony as well as patchouli, orange blossom, pink peppercorns and sandalwood. I would describe the scent of this perfume as being very sensual and seductive. As for staying power, I would say that this fragrance probably starts to fade after around three to four hours, although it can still be smelt very faintly at the end of the day. I like to spray perfume in my hair as well as on my clothes and have found that this perfume tends to last longer when sprayed in my hair.
I have to admit to being very impressed by this perfume. When all the 'celebrity' perfumes came out, I didn't really have any interest in them, assuming that they wouldn't be anything special but I have since found out that I was wrong about quite a few of them. I think that the perfume offers good value for money (even if you don't manage to get a bargain price like I did!) as I still think it is cheaper than a lot of designer perfumes. I like the fact that this perfume is quite distinctive and doesn't just blend in with a lot of the other 'girlie' perfumes on the market at the moment.
This was the first perfume released by the model Kate Moss in 2007. She has since brought out a few more perfumes which I have tested in shops but none of which were as nice as this one.
This perfume was another gift I received a couple of years ago from my boyfriend who hates shopping and took a big risk buying this online without smelling it. Luckily I liked it and I have only a few drops left of the 100ml bottle. It has the simple name 'Kate' (not much thought gone into that one). The perfume has now been discontinued but can still be bought online at a good price. Other sizes available are 30ml, 50ml and 75ml, it also comes in a gift set with body lotion and shower gel.
When it was bought for me it cost around £50, the 100ml bottle is currently available online for around £25 including delivery which I think is a great price for a great perfume and this size bottle lasts a long time.
I got the 100ml perfume which came packaged in a feminine pale pink box with a black floral design. The bottle itself is pretty plain in shape and design being clear with a black lid. The perfume is a nice pink colour.
When spraying the perfume I find that it seems quite a lot comes out in one pump of the spray so you don't need much at all. What I also like is that the hose/tube part from the pump to the bottle is really long so there isn't the need to be tilting the bottle to try and get some out when you're near the end like I have found with a couple of others.
It is accurately described as 'a floral, woody musk'
'Top notes - Orange Blossom, Pink pepper and Forget Me Not;
'Middle notes - Rose, Peony and Lily of the Valley'
'Base notes - Sandalwood, patchouli and Musk'
A scent I really like, the bottle and name may be a bit unimaginative but the perfume it contains is anything but. I find it has a strong floral smell when first sprayed, and I do think it takes a little longer than others to fade and is a stronger scent than I would normally opt for but it isn't overpowering. It lasts well and I can get a nice faint smell of it all day long. Many people have asked about this perfume when I have been wearing it. I tend to use it on nights out as I have others that I wear on a daily basis.
I don't buy perfume for myself as I have so much of it, I wouldn't want to pay £50 for it again but at £25 I would definitely buy this again if I needed perfume and would consider it as a gift.
I first bought this perfume relatively quickly after it was first in the shops (back in 2007, I believe). I have since repurchased and received it as a gift several times. I would probably say it is my favourite perfume and it really have nothing to do with the namesake.
I initially bought the perfume after sampling some in boots - I was instantly attracted to the delicate floral smell and elegant bottle. I have never tired of the smell and often receive compliments about how lovely the scent is, followed by surprise when I reveal what perfume it is. I think very few people associate Kate Moss for her elegant, delicate side...despite her undeniable beauty she is perhaps better known in recent years for her smoking, drinking and dating young musicians. The perfume, therefore, is a real shock - and definitely a pleasant one.
The scent is a feminine, sophisticated smell which is truly elegant. It is described as being wild and risque - I think this better describes Kate than it does the perfume actually. I think the thing I like best about it is that it is girly and romantic and it always leaves me feeling decidedly feminine for the whole day (which can be a challenge with 2 jobs and a degree).
The perfume has top notes of spiced pink peppercorns and orange blossom, with core notes of lily of the valley, heliotrope, magnolia, peony and rose petals. The end notes are patchouli, sandalwood, musk, vetiver and ambrette seed. All in all a strong and yet not too punchy sweet floral scent. I find it is a fairly versatile perfume and is appropriate for both day and night use. I think it has a classic, timeless element to is that means it is also suitable for all ages. The lovely design also means it makes the perfect gift for your mum, daughter, best friend - really anyone!
The bottle is primarily glass which shows you the pale pink coloured perfume inside. The bottle has black letters with the name Kate on the front and a cylindrical black lid. I think the bottle is very elegant looking and whether you purchase the 30ml or 50ml they are a handy and comfortable size to hold. I actually think the pairing of pink and black is fairly unusual in perfume bottles - those brands that opt for pink often go a little too girly in their design. This bottle is very feminine but definitely has an edge to it with the black gloss lid and black rose design on the front. I really love the look of it and again I think it would make the perfect gift for any age.
The perfume is available in both 30ml and 50ml bottles - both of which I have owned. Boots are selling the 30ml for £24.00 with a current discount of £8.00, making it £16.00. Generally when purchasing this perfume I look out for cheaper deals, amazon can be very good for this as can the airport with duty free. However, because it is my absolute favourite I am happy to pay the full price a couple of times a year. Generally it lasts very well - I do tend to have other perfumes on the go and because I like it so much I do reserve this one for more important occasions rather than everyday. I find it lasts me for roughly 6 months and I probably buy one once a year.
I really can't say enough good things about this perfume, it is my absolutely favourite and comparatively very cheap to competing brands. I love the versatility of the scent and that it feels very elegant ad expensive to wear.
Overall: My favourite perfume, a rich feminine smell with not too steep a price tag.
I never really buy perfume for myself since I am usually fortunate enough to receive at least one new fragrance for Christmas. In fact I received more than one this year, which was great as my supplies were starting to run low. One of the fragrances that I received was this Kate Moss:Kate Eau de Toilette, which you can pick for just under £20 for a 100mo bottle, and there appears to be plenty of offers on this fragrance. This scent was launched by Kate Moss in 2007 and is supposed to reflect her personality ie her 'wild essence, her natural sexiness and freedom of spirit'!!
I am not in any way a fan of Kate Moss, and so it is certainly not a fragrance I would have had any interest in purchasing myself. However, when I received it, I was quite impressed by the packaging, which was simple but elegant, with a box pink tinged with a black flower design. The bottle itself has a black lid, and the fragrance is also tinged pink. It does look very nice on my dressing table, so I have to give it top marks for packaging!
The big test however is obviously the smell of the perfume itself. When I first sprayed this fragrance it reminded me on the smell of my grandmothers house probably because it had a rather musky but floral smell, and I suppose the fragrances that my grandmother would have used probably were like this. It certainly wasn't a bad smell, and I liked the fact that it wasn't overpowering at all, but yet there was a distinctive scent.
This fragrance includes hints of pineapple, jasmine petal, violet leaves and cedarwood, which is suppose is why it is promoted as a 'floral woody musk' fragrance. I am not very good at picking up individual scents in a fragrance, but I would say that is definitely accurate to say that it has a 'floral' tone to it and since I usually go for floral scents this suits me to the ground.
THe other big test for me, from a fragrance, is its staying power throughout the day. The first time I wore it, after spraying it in the morning, I got a compliment later in the day so it must have still lingered. However, even later in the evening, if I sniff the inside of my wrist I can still smell it myself, so I would have to say that I think that constitutes good staying power!! This cannot be said of many fragrances on the market.
All in all, although I do not like Kate Moss herself and would therefore not have opted for this fragrance, I was very pleasantly surprised at the scent. It is not overpowering but still distinctive and it does have staying power which is vital in my opinion. A great fragrance.
I never usually even think about buying any celebrity perfumes. I always felt that they tended to be cheap and the smell wouldn't last long on you. However, I liked the smell of a perfume that my friend was wearing one day as I kept getting whiffs of it, and when I asked what perfume it was, she said this Kate Moss one.
Perfumes can smell different on different people and so when I was in Boots I tested this out on myself. I always leave it a while before completely judging a perfume, but an hour later I could really smell a nice floral musky scent, not like any perfumes I already owned.
As Boots had some gift sets £10 off, the Kate Moss one included, this was very cheap and only cost around £13, instead of £23, and it included a 200ml bottle of Kate Moss body lotion. I didn't think twice about buying it as I had enough points on my boots card to cover it, and so I treated myself.
The top notes of this perfume are orange blossom and pink pepper and the base notes are sandal wood and patchouli. I am not sure what each of these smell like but I tend to be attracted to orange scented things so maybe this is why I like this one. Although to me I do smell a slight hint of orange when first spraying, after a while it just smells floral and musky. These are not scents I usually go for but it reminded me of a spring time scent and as I didn't have any perfumes already like this, I thought it would make a nice change.
This scent doesn't last all day, like my more expensive perfumes do, but I didn't really expect it to, as my initial thoughts on celebrity perfumes are that they are cheap and don't last long! I just wear this for work normally, and when I get home I often spray a different perfume on me if I am going out on the night time, which does last a long time.
I would buy this again though considering how cheap it is and I do actually like the scent. I might just start carrying it around in my bag in case I need a top-up. I got the gift set which included the 30ml perfume and 200ml body lotion for £13 from Boots. The 30ml perfume alone is now priced at £23 on their website, but it can be purchased for much cheaper than this (around £13) on other websites such as Cheap Smells and Amazon, so it would be a good idea to shop around if you are interested in buying this.
I recently bought this perfume (to add to my expanding collection!) from www.fragrancedirect.co.uk in the January sales. This is a relatively old perfume (hence the great price I snapped it up for!) because it was released in 2007. I hope my review of the 30ml eau de toilette spray does the perfume justice!
In my opinion, the bottle design does not fit well with Moss' rock and roll image. It is quite girly in appearance and perhaps would better suit a bottle like Vera Wang's 'Rock Princess'. The bottle itself reminds me of the glass ones used for nail polish. It is rectangular and the clear glass shows the rose perfume inside. The lid is nearly as long as the perfumes bottle itself, which seems unnecessary. It contrasts the bottle colours with a black surface and silver stripe around the bottom. The lid is good because it makes it much easier to grip, but its design is WAY too safe in my opinion. Moss' name is printed on the front in a stylised typeface, which also makes it look feminine in appearance. On a health and safety note: the edges are relatively smooth to prevent any injury if dropped ☺
Bottle design: 3/5
The bottle comes in a rectangular rose box. There are black roses around the edge, which makes it look both feminine and rock chic/gothic in appearance. Perhaps roses could have been added to the actual perfume bottle to make it stand out more? The same typeface has been used on the front featuring Moss' name and the name of the perfume. Again, the designers have played it safe and produced a relatively dull looking box for the perfume. Both seem quite cheap in comparison to others on the market nowadays.
Onto the important part... According to the producers the scent is made from 'an infusion of old English vintage and floral scents', which is relatively true. Immediately, you can smell the rose undertones and I can also pick up the traditional white musky smell included in other perfumes. Of course there are other scents included to give it its unique flavour, but these are the main ones that hit you first.
The scent is super-feminine! My friends describe it as quite old-fashioned, which I guess links into the vintage element Moss was going for.
The actual scent is quite light and refreshing, so it's pretty perfect for spring and summer. After a few squirts, it can last most of the day, but I recommend topping up halfway through to ensure the scent is longer-lasting!
As I mentioned at the beginning, I bought this in the sale from Fragrance Direct, and after a quick look on their website the prices are as follows:
- Kate Moss Eau de Parfum Spray 30ml - £7.50
- Kate Moss Eau de Toilette Spray 30ml - £10.50
- Kate Moss Eau de Toilette Spray 100ml - £20.50
I'm honestly not sure what the difference is between Parfum and Toilette (someone enlighten me!) but obviously you can pick up Moss' scent very cheap nowadays.
I would imagine this perfume would be available from all good perfume stores including Superdrug, Boots and The Perfume Shop for around the same price range.
I would recommend this perfume to girly girls because of the floral scent. Obviously it would be perfect to give as a gift to female friends and relatives, especially now the prices are quite low!
I give this perfume: 4/5. The packaging could do with a re-think. It is too safe for fashion and style icon Kate. Even though the price is cheap, I would rather pay more for a quality product! Other than that, the scent is gorgeous, which really brings the perfume to life!
I have used a few of the Kate Moss Perfumes. I find them nice smelling and usually at a good price as well. This was the first Kate Moss Perfume I tried, and probably my favourite.
You can get this in a few different sizes. and I got the 30ml as part of a gift set. I got the Perfume and a full sized Body Lotion for £18. This was all in a box and looked nice enough. I think the 30ml costs about £14, the 50ml around £18, and I have seen the 100ml on the odd occassion online but it doesn't seem to be available all that much, so not sure of the price of it.
The box and bottle look like the Dooyoo picture. It looks alright I would say. The bottle is a thick glass and you can see the light pink liquid through the glass. The lettering is in black which looks alright against the pink colour and the lid is black as well so it looks nice enough. The bottle is light pink and again has black on it too. I think the Floral design looks quite gothic, it's a black flower which has a long trail on it.
So how does this smell? it's nice. The website's description says of this "kate moss wanted her epononymous scent to express the two sides of her personality. This fragrance for women is both ultrafeminine and a bit rock 'n roll. Created by perfumer nathalie lorsen notes include top notes of orange blossom absolute, forget-me-not and pink pepper;heartnotes of lily of the valley, heliotrope, magnolia and peony, and rose petal notes. Basenotes are dark and sultry, patchouli, sandalwood, musk, vetiver and ambret seeds." All sounds alright but i'm not keen on Lily of the Valley, but am glad you can't smell it through this. I would say you can mostly smell the pink Pepper, Peony and Patchouli in this. There seems to be a slightly heavy scent to this, but there is a light sparkling scent mixed through which breaks the scent up. It smells a bit musky, fruity and the rest is heavier Oriental scents.
This lasts a decent lenght of time. Although it seems to get fainter quite quick, the after notes linger long when this has dried and warmed onto your skin.
A nice mix of scents and if you like lighter scents that lingers well then I recommend a try of this.
I'm not one to usually go for celebrity perfumes, however after receiving this as a present I'm hooked! The perfume is packaged in a clear bottle with a fairly large black plastic lid, with Kate Moss clearly labelled on the front. The bottle is not particularly attractive, but the colour of perfume is, in a light pink shade.
It is described as being a "complicated floral scent", which is pretty much true. It is difficult to identify the differing notes in the perfume, which create its unusual smell. It's a light and delicate fragrance in my opinion, but with a bit of an edge.
The fragrance is definitely long lasting. I apply in the morning and by the end of the day it still smells great, however it does become more subtle as the day passes so if you were to go out in the evening you would need to re-apply.
As an everyday perfume this is a really good product. Priced around £10-£15 for the 30ml bottle it is good value for money for the smell of the fragrance and the sheer fact it lasts all day. I have had this now for a couple of months and will definitely be buying again when it runs out!
As with many of the celebrity fragrances that you can buy, I was rather dubious as to what, if anything the Kate Moss scent had to offer.
Kate herself has been so high profile as a fashion and style icon to the masses over recent years, but I haven't seen the fascination with her at all. So when I came across the Kate Moss scent I wasn't thinking it would be all that great.
In fact I totally ignored it till I spotted it in the new year sales, when it was reduced to just £9.99, for a pretty gift set that included the scent and a body lotion too. Ever the bargain hunter I asked for a sample spray and found it to be surprisingly good.
For my £9.99 I got a 30ml bottle of scent and the matching body lotion. The gift box was a lovely shade of light golden pinky bronze, not a very glossy metallic shade more a subtle and smooth shade.
The Kate Moss name was highlighted in modern black lettering and the box had a plastic clear see through film so that you could see what was inside.
The Kate Moss scent bottle is quite plain and understated, with a tall black lid, with a thin gold line around it. There was nothing fancy about the bottle at all, its just a slightly indented in places, clear glass bottle. The contents of the bottle were a nice peachy pink colour that looked inviting.
The matching body cream was in a squeezy tube and came in the same understated golden pinky bronze of the box. Both the box and the body cream were adorned with entwining black leaves and flowers that crept up towards the top of the box/ product.
As to the actual aroma of the Kate Moss scent, what I can say is that its much nicer than I thought it was going to be.
Its not too young smelling and not very girly either. It seems to me to be more of a day time scent than anything else. Its quite subtle and can be worn without being too strong or over powering. I don't think any one would be offended if you wore this as your everyday scent.
Orange blossom, pink pepper and lilly of the valley are mixed with rose and peony. The stronger base notes are sandalwood, which is used in many scents to give depth and strength and also the evocative hippy smelling, joss stick burning scent we all know, patchoulli.
I cannot honestly say that any of these stood out for me very much, but I would say the scent had a sort of light floral, yet woody mellowness to it and was not very fruity or sweet.
It does have a down side in that it lasts just a short while when worn on the skin. If you are going to be wearing this out then you may want to take the bottle with you, for a top up spray.
In terms of value for money, I feel the price I paid was very good and I would be happy to pay that again. I cannot really justify paying the full rpice of around £20 to £23 for a 30ml bottle as there are scents priced at around the £10 mark which you could wear instead, that also stay on for much longer.
With all the above in mind, this seems to be a 3 star scent due to its lack of staying power. The scent does smell nice, but won't get a higher rating due to its lack of longevity.
I received Kate Moss's signature perfume, entitled "Kate" as a late Christmas present from my cousin. It is not always easy to buy perfumes for other people, especially myself because I tend to have a certain kind of scent that I like, and take an instant disliking to those what I don't!
The bottle itself is quite tiny as it's only the 30ml bottle, making it one of the smallest perfumes I own (aside from Dior miniatures I have!). However the advantage of this, is it's a good sized perfume to have in your bag with you. Upon researching this product, I have found it also comes in 50ml/100ml sizes too. It's also kept fairly simple and classic with it's design and has a removable black lid.
Onto the scent! Well, considering this was a gift therefore I didn't get to sample it before, my first impressions of the scent were very good, and I had to have a couple more sprays of it because it smelt so divine. When you spray it, it's kind of in the middle of a floral, pretty scent and a deeper musky scent, however neither factor appears too strong so you are left with a satisfying balance which is not too overpowering.
As it's a celebrity scent, I think you do try and envisage the celebrity, in this case Kate Moss, wearing it and the fact it was based on her and I would say this comes across, as it's definitely "effortless glamour". It doesn't try and be too sophisticated, yet it just is. Perhaps the only let down for me, is it does need topping up throughout the day and 2/3 sprays are needed, which is bit of a problem as I own the 30ml bottle meaning it's nearly run out!
The perfume came as part a gift set, and also included a 200ml Showergel. Generally, when you get perfume gift boxes I feel they tend to fill it with cheaply made products just to bump up the price, which are never as nice as the perfume itself and in the case of body lotions, tend to irritate my skin.
However, I was pleasantly surprised as how nice this showergel actually is, and although is only available with the gift set, is possible one of the nicest smelling showergels I have ever used (although It's nearly all gone now, boo!). Again like the perfume, it has floral top notes and a musky undertone but still smells really light and feminine, and makes my skin smell lovely ages after I've used it.
Overall, I would say this makes for a great perfume, well suited for daytime use. I would also recommend this as a present for someone as it was for me, because it's not too imposing yet with a name like "Kate Moss" behind it, suggests a glamorous edge which less face it, is more of a compliment than buying someone a Jordan fragrance! Before receiving this, I had always been very sceptical of celebrity fragrances because I saw them as just the celebrity using what is a serious industry, as a simple money making venture. However, after using this perfume and considering the effort that has gone into getting this smell right, and the fact it really does smell gorgeous, I have changed my mind on celebrity perfumes. This one is a winner!
I was given a sample of this in a shop once and when I first tried it I didn't think it was that nice. I think it was because it had a sweetness to it that I wasn't fussed on. But I am happy to say that the Kate Moss perfume grew on me and now it is one of my favourite perfumes. I even keep an extra bottle of it just encase!
Kate Moss is quite a sweet smelling perfume and because of this reason some people don't like it. When first sprayed it can be a little strong and if one sprays too much on ones self it can be very over powering. Having said that I love it. It is one of those smells that you can't go wrong with. I find myself wearing this on any occasion, meaning that it came be worn during the day or on a night out.
The fragrance is sweet so you can detect a hint of fruit, but you really can smell a woody scent. I think this perfume is very different from other perfumes, as I have never smelt anything like it. I find that Kate Moss has a very good staying power, maybe because it is a strong perfume, but it is fabulous!
The Look :-
The bottles are what I think a nicely shaped bottle, meaning that they are easy to grasp and hold while spraying. The bottle is see-through, and the perfume itself has a pink tint to it, making it a pretty, girly colour. The lid, the nozzle part and the rim around the neck of the bottle are all black in colour. This I think gives this bottle a little sophistication and without this the bottle would look un-exciting and dull.
I can say that I wasn't overly fussed on the bottle and at a first glance I thought it was somewhat plain and boring. But then I think the perfume in side the bottle made up for this and the more I thought about it the more I liked the bottle. It is simple. Not simple in a dull way, but simple in a way not overdone way.
The 30ml bottle is perfect for popping into your handbag and the 100ml bottle lasts forever, it has to be the biggest perfume bottle I have!
One of the bottles of Kate Moss I received in a gift set which came with a Kate moss body lotion. I thought this was brilliant and now if I am trying to buy the perfume I try to get it in the set. You can get the Kate Moss set in The Perfume shop, but I must warn it will be slightly more expensive than else where.
30ml = £10.00 (approx)
50ml = £ 16.00-£20.00 (approx)
The gift set with the 30ml and the 150ml body lotion can be bought in places like Semi-Chem when they have offers for around £15.00!
I think that this is the nicest perfume I have ever smelt! I would defiantly recommend it to anyone who wants to have a all purpose perfume that lasts! I really can't rave about this perfume anymore, you really have to smell it to really believe how good it is!
I got this perfume for my 16th birthday from my parents (with the body lotion) and with a free clutch. I can say that this perfume is an excellent choice as a perfume for the day time, but it can be used for evening - but the perfume isn't strong enough for evening use. It smell gorgeous and makes you feel fresh throughout the day, so you never have to worry about smelling! The box is beautifully presented and bottle is very well presented too. If you get the matching body lotion and apply that once you've sprayed the perfume it'll last even longer and you'll feel even more fresher! The perfume is sold at a good price, somewhere like Savers it'll be about 10 pounds for a 50 ml bottle whereas somewhere like Boots may be more expensive with a bottle costing twenty pounds for 30 ml. I love this perfume so much that I'm even going to buy another bottle at a later date. I recommend any women this perfume and it's also great for females of all ages! And it can be sold cheaply as well! This is sold as well as limited edition (black box) and summer time edition. Don't forget as well to check other Kate Moss perfumes too such as velvet hour and vintage!
