Advantages: Sensual perfume, good value for money

Disadvantages: None

I was aware that Kate Moss had bought a perfume out but to be honest, it wasn't a perfume that I would have gone out of my way to buy. However, while browsing through the perfume section on eBay, I came across a 30ml bottle of Kate Moss perfume - simple called Kate for the price of £3.54 with 30 seconds left so I decided to place a bid! I won the perfume for £4.04 which I thought was very reasonable.

About Kate
Kate is the first perfume to be released by Kate Moss. This fragrance was launched in the autumn of 2007. According to the website, this perfumes "captures her many facets & lifetime experiences staying true to her inner self & personality". It is also meant to echo "Kate's charismatic, seductive and sensual beauty while hinting at her edgy, sometimes wild approach to life."

Packaging
This perfume comes in a light pink, quite feminine box which is decorated with a black rose. The words Kate Moss are written in lower case writing across the box. The perfume botrtle itself is clear glass and the perfume inside is a rose colour which gives the impression that the bottele is also a rose colour.which is tinted a rose colour but still see through. The lid of the bottle is black and the words Kate Moss are written on the bottle too.

Cost
Obviously I only paid £4.04 for my bottle of this perfume but I have had a look online and have found this perfume is available at www.fragranconline.co.uk for the following prices:

30ml - £11.99
50ml - £15.66
100ml - £21.53

The Perfume
I have to say, I am now a very big fan of this perfume. It has a delightful mix of sweet and woody tones, giving the perfume a really distinctive yet still feminine smell. Kate contains lily of the valley, rose, magnolia, heliotrope and peony as well as patchouli, orange blossom, pink peppercorns and sandalwood. I would describe the scent of this perfume as being very sensual and seductive. As for staying power, I would say that this fragrance probably starts to fade after around three to four hours, although it can still be smelt very faintly at the end of the day. I like to spray perfume in my hair as well as on my clothes and have found that this perfume tends to last longer when sprayed in my hair.

Summary
I have to admit to being very impressed by this perfume. When all the 'celebrity' perfumes came out, I didn't really have any interest in them, assuming that they wouldn't be anything special but I have since found out that I was wrong about quite a few of them. I think that the perfume offers good value for money (even if you don't manage to get a bargain price like I did!) as I still think it is cheaper than a lot of designer perfumes. I like the fact that this perfume is quite distinctive and doesn't just blend in with a lot of the other 'girlie' perfumes on the market at the moment.

Summary: A surprisingly nice perfume
