Buying a fragrance which was created with the input of Katie Price (aka Jordan) and bears her name wasn't particularly high up my list of things to purchase.

Recently however I have been fortunate enough to try, and subsequently purchase, "Besotted" by Katie Price.

Besotted, is the second fragrance from Katie, her first fragrance was called "Stunning".

It is a very fruity feminine fragrance, and smells of lemon, grapefruit and Lily of the Valley.

I usually categorise my perfume collection (which continues to grow) into ones I use for day to day wear (the lighter fresher ones), and ones to wear for special occasions and night out (the stronger more sultry mores). Besotted is one of the only perfumes I own which I feel bucks this trend, because it's just as suitable for wearing day or night.

A picture of Katie is on the outer box packaging, and the bottle itself is gorgeous, and is a crystal like faceted design and the perfume is a pale pink colour when in the bottle, and altogether it's all extremely girly, and would look fabulous on a dressing table.

When I purchased Besotted, I actually purchased a Besotted gift set which contains a 50ml edp spray and an 80ml Besotted shimmer spray. This cost me £27 which is very reasonable for two products.

The name "shimmer spray" is very deceiving. That could make you think of someone being sprayed so gold that they resemble a human statue. But I have found that the Besotted shimmer spray is basically a body lotion is a spray, which is an ingenious idea, and it has a very slight barely noticeable sheen to it.

It is also very cooling so a perfect way to apply some fragrance on a hot summers day. Again I have used this product both during the day and on evenings out.

Since I initially purchased Besotted, I already have a couple of friends who have also purchased this and now use this perfume daily.

I think if you can get past any preconceptions you may have about buying a "celebrity perfume" you will be pleasantly surprised.

Whether you personally like or dislike Katie Price is irrelevant, it should just be about the fragrance and this is one of the best new ones around.

Summary: A pleasant surprise
