Perfume. I simply cannot leave the house without any on. As long as it is a nice fragrance, I don't tend to mind whether it cost £60 for a tester alone, or that cheap cast-off bottle from Poundland. However, I do tend to like my celebrity perfumes, and one I got from the father for Christmas was Katie Price's Stunning.

Katie Price (also known as Jordan), born 1978, is a tv personality model. She is married to singer Peter Andre, and has three children. Katie has also written a few children's books an a few own autobiographies. On TV you are also able to watch the 'Katie and Peter diaries', following their lives around. Not everybody's cup of tea, but I like it! I was looking up Katie on Wikipedia, and to my surprise, I found that wasn't even her real name! Its Katrina Amy Alexandria Alexis Infield. Now, I can see why she simplified it! Though she should have left 'Amy' in!

I had asked for Stunning, released end of 2007, the previous year though received a Kylie Minogue option instead (which was, I'll admit, delicious!). However this year I found myself unwrapping what I instantly could tell was a perfume box. When I revealed it, in my hand I held quite a petite little rectangular box. On the top of the box was a cardboard sleeve, with a full image of Katie's face. 'Stunning' was written above her name in shiny italic writing. When I pulled off this sleeve, I was faced with quite an unusual and exciting little packaging. The base coat to this inner box was a delicate shade of lilac. On the front, there was a clear little window revealing the perfume bottle to me. I'd never seen this before with perfume packaging, and found it quite delightful.

I took the bottle out of its window and held it gently in my hand to further examine. It wasn't too big, about the length of my palm, if you include the lid. However the chamber where the perfume is locked in this 30ml bottle is no bigger than my thumb! It's a pretty shape, diamond-like. Through the clear bottle you can see the perfume itself has a slight pink tint to it, very girlie indeed! Unscrewing the top, I found the spray nozzle to be quite shiny and bigger than expected. So tempting...

I know I fell in love with this perfume as soon as I sprayed a tester in the shop, though to be frank I couldn't actually remember what it smelt like! I had a quite scan on the internet to find the notes (the three stages of different aromas that the perfume provides). I found the top note was mandarin, described as a fruity heart tone. Was this going to be true? I positioned the nozzle and gave it a squirt onto the wrist, followed by a big sniff! The aroma was very nice, as I had expected, but in honesty I couldn't detect any mandarin! To me it smelt more like roses! Nonetheless it was delicious all the same!

Apparently the middle notes consisted of violet and jasmine. I adore Jasmine, ever since we bought a Peach and Jasmine air freshener! To my surprise as I lifted the wrist closer after the top notes had settled, I was met by a great scent of violet. And as for the jasmine, you could certainly smell this in the somewhat woody smell! This was certainly a gorgeous perfume, but would the bottom notes withhold?

Not long after the bottom notes emerged. They were supposed to be patchouli and bergamot. You what? I had never heard of those before, so I didn't know what to expect at all! Delightfully the bottom notes seemed quite sweet and powdery, with a subtle hint of vanilla - a superb combination!

There is no denying that this perfume smelt good enough to eat, but was it worth the money? A 30ml bottle like mine will cost you around £18, which is not too bad for a celebrity perfume. You may wish to advance to the 50ml bottle and pay around £25, a difference of just £7 for an extra 20ml. If you tend to use perfume a lot like I do, and do not mind spending out, then there is the 100ml bottle available, the beastly size, for around £32. That would work out about about £3.20 for 10ml, so £9.60 would get you 30ml (if you could take from this large bottle!). It's clear to see that this is definitely a bargain of a price for what you are getting! Something I found odd though, on most sites I looked at, they were selling the 100ml Stunning in a gift set with a body lotion for around £30, cheaper still! So if you can find this, then it would be worth buying rather than the bottle alone! And if you don't like the lotion, then give it to somebody as a present!

It is important when you buy a perfume, especially if it is as pricey as this, that the staying power is satisfying. I tend to use perfume all the time, constantly spraying, so I can thankfully say that this fragrance lasts a good few hours before you have the need to re squirt. This means that in the long run the bottle will last longer, you getting more for your money!

Even if you are not a fan of Katie's, this perfume is still worth the buy! It has an amazing fragrance, and is very stylish and girlie, prerfect for day and evening wear. It would also make a fantastic gift too! It may seem expensive, but for the quality you are getting, it's not all that bad!
