Advantages: good staying power, elegant packaging, smells great
Disadvantages: -
While on my recent holidays in April I stumbled across a huge department store which seemed to have a discount day so being the shopaholic I am, I ran in. I didn't even make it past the perfume and cosmetics counters because there was so much to buy. It was all of the usual products but with 10% off for only that day so I did go a bit crazy but got most things I had wanted for ages and among these includes Flower by Kenzo. I went to many perfume counters all of the sales assistants desperate to make a sale but none persuaded me as much as the Kenzo counter. The prices I paid were in Euros but working out the exchange rate I paid about £36 which I am sure is the price of a normal 50ml bottle here except I got more than just the bottle...... The reason I was tempted here was because all of the other counters were only offering the perfume bottle itself which I could get anywhere but Kenzo were giving a gift set. This included the 50ml Eau De Parfum, 50ml body milk and also a 9ml handbag sized bottle. This all comes in a red and white box which is opened with a plastic door. This way, the set is all together and nicely presented for all to see. The one word that always seems to come up when describing the scent of Flower by Kenzo is fresh it really does explain it all. It also could be described as a mix of freshness but also with a sweet lingering smell like vanilla but obviously it is floral, hence the name. I think this type of fragrance could be worn in the day time but evening might also work it really depends on the type of person you are. Usually I will spray it on two times and this usually seems to be a success from going out early in the morning to coming home late in the evening the smell is still there and just as fresh as when I first tried it on. There is the sma
ll handbag sized bottle I carry around just incase I need to spray more. The only reason the smell might not stay on long enough could be not putting on enough but it is not a perfume that is really light it seems to be quite strong so it is always noticeable and I do get people identifying it when I am wearing it so I can't be the only one who loves it and this also proves the scent stays. Another thing I love about Flower is the packaging. Although I cannot describe the box since I bought it in a gift set I can however describe the bottle. It is a clear glass curved bottle. The best way to describe it is to say that the bottle is shaped like a curved stem which is what it is really meant to be because on the glass there is the green Poppy stem following the shape of the bottle up to the spray top. The lide joins the flower on by having a little stem and the poppy head making it a complete flower bottle. It is simple but exudes elegance. The perfume can be bought in different sizes. I do know this can be bought from all perfume counters but if this is not a possibility there is http://www.supaperfume.com which charges no delivery fee and prices the 50ml for £27 the 30ml for £21.50 and the 100ml for £37 as well as these the website also sells the bodymist and showercreme which I got in my giftset. These prices are fantastic and cheaper than buyig in stores. Also another website is http://www.strawberrynet.com which again charges no delivery fee and sells Kenzo, I noticed it sells the gift set I got so it really depends on what you are looking for, but there are many places to get hold of discounted perfumes.
